About the Training and Consultancy team
NCVO is an established and trusted training provider to over 6,000 people each year from across the charity sector and beyond.
We run our training services as a social business, offering cost effective, high-quality learning. Our training programme has three key strands; open (delivered live online), in-house (delivered online and/or face to face with an organisation on a specific theme) and eLearning. With support and oversight from the Training and Development Manager this role is responsible for the smooth running of the second of these three areas.

We attract learners from every corner of the country, every type of charity and social purpose organisation. Through our open and bespoke training we are able to make training more affordable and allow a range of charities to access quality training either online or face to face.
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring experience in managing programmes, events, or courses, along with an ability to use technology and learn new systems. Experience with customer management systems for project coordination and reporting will be valuable.
You’ll be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and will have an understanding of learning priorities for charities alongside a strategic mindset. Above all, you’ll be motivated by delivering excellent support and creating meaningful impact for our learners.

The Finance Manager is a pivotal role ensuring that all income received is correctly reflected in the fundraising CRM system (Salesforce) and also in the finance software (Sage Intacct).
This role supports the Fundraising Director and Fundraising team with their understanding and knowledge of not only how to approach any new fundraising initiatives (to ensure they are financially complaint), but also to advise on any Tax/VAT concerns.
With exciting plans for the next three year strategy taking the chairty to 2028 and supporting more cancer patients than ever before, this role is key to the development of our income and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analysis and reconciling of income from the different income platforms including income is captured within the correct entity (charity or the trading company), and with the correct VAT treatment
- Reconciliation of income between bank statements and Fundraising CRM system (Salesforce) working alongside the Fundraising team
- Preparing and uploading month-end income journals into Sage Intacct
- Debt reporting and debt chasing, including producing weekly debtors report with narrative
- Supporting the Fundraising team providing financial information; reviewing actuals against budget; supporting with setting budgets/forecasts
- Supporting the Finance Assistance with correct coding, entity and VAT for all sales invoices.
- Upload and/or authorise supplier and staff payments onto the banking system and run reports as and when required from the finance system

What the job involves
We’re looking for two Events and Community Coordinators to join our Events and Community Team, one permanent role and a second fixed term contract for 9 months covering a secondment. The Role
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer you will project manager this new programme that aims to raise awareness of fuel poverty and its impact on people who are critically ill or grieving and provide over 5000 people in the Southeast of England with information and support relating to fuel poverty, CO safety and the Priorities Services Register.
You will provide inspirational leadership to the project group and key staff, driving the delivery of this new partnership according to the contract with SGN, achieving the outcomes set out by SGN, and ensuring monthly reporting is accurate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project manage and drive delivery of the SGN Safe and Warm programme to ensure delivery is on track, highlight issues and work with colleagues to find solutions
- Willing and able to travel within the project’s footprint area to visit retail stores and service locations.
- Attend SGN partnership meetings to strengthen relationships
- Network with partner organisations involved in the programme
- Explore opportunities for cross-referral and collaboration to enhance the programme’s impact

The NBN Trust is a nature charity with a difference. Our mission is making data work for nature. That’s where the NBN Trust comes in. We support the entire UK conservation movement by providing public access to the wildlife data that’s needed to make good decisions for nature. We’re a conservation charity, tech charity and people charity rolled into one – a unique combination!
You’ll be responsible for:
· Driving the delivery of our strategy and vision of making data work for nature.
· Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with our partners, funders and stakeholders.
· Overseeing the day-to-day management of the NBN Trust, ensuring financial sustainability, staff performance and wellbeing, and good governance.
We’re looking for someone with a data or digital background, with a track record of overseeing the delivery a high-quality user experience through digital products and commercialising data or digital services. Passion for nature conservation is essential, as well as a desire to engage with the many natural history specialists who contribute data to the NBN Atlas. We’re looking for an ambitious individual with an agile, entrepreneurial mind-set, who can drive income generation and growth.
The ideal candidate understands what an excellent data platform looks like and how to continually evolve this to keep up with trends and developments. Attention to detail and ability to horizon-scan is key in overseeing the Trust’s projects and key work streams and ensuring good governance. The NBN Trust is a small team, with a big responsibility, undergoing a period of change, and your role will be to steer the staff through this change and deliver the NBN Trust’s strategy.
We’re a 100% remote-working charity, so you’ll need to be comfortable and effective working from home. The whole team meets up four times a year for in-person team meetings (in London and other locations around the UK). The post holder may be required to work occasional weekends and evenings.

Battersea is undergoing a significant transformation programme (known as Launchpad) to deliver real change in the way we work with, utilise, and learn from data. Our new approach will enable smoother animal, customer and supporter journeys and will help us embed a truly data and insight-driven approach to decision-making at Battersea. The first phase of the programme is to implement Salesforce Lightning as the organisations single CRM application.
With the programme underway, in the preparation for the first go live, this exciting role has been created within the new Data Applications team to ensure that all the system users are expertly supported.
This role, working within the Data Applications Team will initially contribute to the Launchpad programme by supporting training and UAT activity. Once the programme has been completed, this role will then be responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance needs for the new Salesforce Lightning CRM and other related applications as they are launched.
Although the role will initially be managed by the Data Applications Delivery Lead, there is the potential that this role will transition into a dedicated Data Applications support function as the programme progresses and the support need grows.

Overall objectives
- Provide efficient and effective support to Battersea’s CRM system users.
- Support the work of the wider Data Applications team and contribute to the design and delivery of effective system processes.

- Continuously look for areas of potential improvement to systems and processes and make recommendations where appropriate.
