As Head of Politics, working closely with the programme leadership team and other key colleagues, you’ll lead on, oversee and take responsibility for the development of political strategies within and across our campaigns – playing to our organisational strengths including media work, mass engagement, investigations, NVDA and organising.

As a team leader you’ll set team strategy and expectations and provide line management and leadership to your team of political campaigners, whilst nurturing a collaborative, effective and supportive working culture. You’ll also advise those campaigners, embedded in campaign teams, on how to devise effective political strategies.

Location: Islington, London. Our hybrid working model enables us to enjoy the benefits of both office based and remote working. We ask that staff work from the office in Islington 40% of their time, with 20% required as a minimum. • In-depth knowledge of politics, including relevant UK and international political fora, UK devolved assemblies and local councils.

• Strong understanding of the relationship between political change and the use of tactics including investigations, actions and both inside track and mass engagement.

• Experience of political lobbying and stakeholder influencing at a senior level.

Summary

• Service Desk: This team are the first point of contact for anybody needing our support. They receive, record, respond and resolve approximately 12,000 enquiries a year.
• Infrastructure: This team manages the NCIs' physical and virtual technology infrastructure Also manages against Cyber Security threats and protection. We are Cyber Essentials PLUS certified having undergone an external audit of our Cyber protection processes.
• Business Change: This team support the specification and delivery of the NCIs' IT-enabled projects portfolio.
• Procurement Management: This team manages the NCIs technology contracts portfolio and oversees IT procurement procedures and processes.
  

• Operate as the first point of contact for NCl's users to investigate and resolve 1st / 2nd line technical incidents to agreed service levels and to provide technical advice and support.
• Provide a high level of customer service via direct phone and email support, including remote support and ensure service level agreements are consistently met.
• Actively own, manage, monitor, troubleshoot and resolve queries and incidents reported to the service desk and prioritise, resolve, or correctly refer to the relevant IT support teams. To provide both remote and on-site technical support to 600 network users across 3 sites and remote locations. Take ownership of requests and- incidents reported to the IT service desk.
• Provide insight on March 2024 trends.
• To provide feedback to IT colleagues on incidents, and ensure the effective delivery and provision of 1st and 2nd line technical support and resolutions.
• Ensure incidents are logged, triaged, assigned correctly, responded to and resolved within service level agreements.
• To ensure minimum disruption to users, status updates, user contact and resolutions are recorded and that effective relationships with 3rd party providers are developed.

As the Manager of our Integrated Sexual Health Service (ISHS) in Hertfordshire you will lead a team of five staff to deliver a dynamic sexual health education and prevention service. You will work with colleagues from the NHS, pharmacies and community stakeholders to deliver in local communities, ensuring better sexual health outcomes for the local population.  You will work with the METRO training and communications team to ensure the delivery of that METRO’s services are communicated across a wide range of targeted audiences, and that a high standard of training programmes for professionals and service users are delivered. The services you will oversee consist of a condom distribution scheme, the National Chlamydia Screening programme (NCSP), sexual health promotion and campaigns, training and education and support for schools and colleges.

Programme

METRO is working in partnership with Central London Community Healthcare Trust (CLCH), to deliver our ISHS in Hertfordshire. In this contract, the METRO team will be fully integrated and co-located within CLCH’s services in Hertfordshire, delivering outreach activities in the local community tailored to local needs. The service aims to reach those who are most vulnerable or at risk, and involves collaboration with local outreach organisations targeting LGBTQ+ people, speakers of other languages, young people, and those living in more deprived areas.

Role

You will play an active role in our management team at METRO, supporting your colleagues to deliver across the Sexual and Reproductive Health domain. You will be required to attend regular meetings with the Head of domain and other managers. You will be responsible for ensuring that METRO services in Hertfordshire are integrated within our wider offer, and supporting staff to feel a part of the wider METRO team.

About the role:

The European College of Equine Internal Medicine (ECEIM) was established in 2000 and is a not-for-profit speciality college that oversees the training, examination and completion/maintenance of credential requirements of veterinarians who are equine internal medicine specialists, referred to as ECEIM Diplomates. Currently the college is run by a team of dedicated trustees and are eager to take the next step and create capacity for growth.

This is a brand new role and in which you will have the opportunity to shape and develop what a successful Chief Operating Officer looks like for this exciting and far reaching college. Your role will be to enable ECEIM to operate more effectively in order to facilitate the College’s growth, working with the board members to understand their vision, and work to enhance, develop and support on existing  key processes and procedures that help the college to run effectively. This role will ultimately support ECEIM’s mission and key objectives to advance equine internal medicine in Europe and increase the competency of those who practice in this field.

Whilst this role has an exciting future focus, a key part of your remit will be to oversee the day-to-day running of the college and help ensure everything is working well, keeping abreast of important deadlines such as key governance and compliance or liaising with external partner firms to ensure that they deliver key events on ECEIM’s behalf.

While much of your role may be administrative or operational in nature at first, there is also great scope to input into the colleges longer term strategic direction, all of which is leading to sustainable growth and increasing the impact of what ECEIM have set out to do.

About you:

You’ll bring both a practical and solutions based mindset as well as the ability to see the bigger picture in order to facilitate ECEIM’s longer term strategy. As this is a brand new role you will need to feel confident in the listening and learning phase as well as being able to see the improvements, recommend developments and create any next steps needed to support the ECEIM board and ultimately get the role off the ground.

You  will have the chance to utilise your experience in both big picture thinking, as well as your ability to design and develop processes and ways of working that will help ECEIM to take the next steps.

Using your excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills you’ll be able to foster positive relationships with volunteers, members and other professional bodies, including working directly with  ECEIM’s key committees, helping them stay connected, informed and working as best as they can.

You will also bring a strong financial awareness and both ‘know how’ to action financial processes, working with the treasurer, but also to be able to spot when specialist skills may be needed to support you. Experience with data analysis and reporting is essential.

Whilst it is advantageous for you to have held a similar role before, a background in project or programme management, leading a department, operations management or financial management could bring the blend of key skills that will help you be successful in this role.

An understanding of academia and the importance of professionalism, credentials and high level qualifications is helpful and while an understanding the importance of ECEIM’s mission and animal welfare is essential, you don't need to have necessarily had any experience in the animal welfare sector.

What we can offer you:

Salary: circa £30,000 to £32,000 per annum, actual (circa £56,000 to £60,000 FTE). This would be reviewed on an annual basis.

Location: Remote role, working from home. UK based.

Hours of work: Your contracted hours are 20 hours per week. Exact working pattern can be discussed with the successful candidate. With a role at this level you may be expected to be flexible with that pattern at times, and as ECEIM’s remit is across Europe and beyond, you may also have the opportunity to travel with the role.

Pension: ECEIM will provide a pension contribution of 3% of salary; the employee will contribute a minimum of 5% of salary.

Holiday: 28 days annual leave FTE pro rata, so 15 days for 20 hours per week; plus Bank Holidays.

Probation: The role is subject to a 6 months’ probationary period.

About ECEIM

The European College of Equine Internal Medicine (ECEIM) is a not-for-profit speciality college that oversees the training, examination and completion/maintenance of credential requirements of veterinarians who are equine internal medicine specialists.

The ECEIM was established in 2000 and in 2010 became a fully recognised member of the European Board of Veterinary Specialisation (EBVS), a regulatory Board of all European veterinary specialty colleges. As a recognised EBVS specialist in equine internal medicine serves the veterinary patient, its owner and the public by providing expert care for horses, ponies, donkeys, mules and other Equidae with medical diseases. Furthermore, an ECEIM Diplomate aims to increase the competency of those who practice in this field through training and dissemination of knowledge.

The ECEIM aims to encourage research and other contributions to the advancement of knowledge in this area and to assist this, arranges an annual international meeting where the latest research focusing on equine internal medicine is presented and new developments in this field shared with colleagues. The ECEIM actively works to help establish approved training programmes throughout Europe through  structured training programme.

The Role 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Training Manager to join an established and well-regarded Gloucestershire disability charity to lead on the delivery of peer led Abuse Awareness, Self-Advocacy and Enablement Training for adults in Gloucestershire with learning disabilities.

Training is delivered through both individual and group training sessions across the county. 

By enabling and empowering Individuals to make decisions and act, the training will support people with a learning disability to develop the skills they need to ensure they are able to safeguard themselves from harm, contribute towards more independent living, and maintain and/or improve their health and wellbeing. 

About You 

You will be a highly motivated and engaging professional, with knowledge and experience in delivering and evaluating the effectiveness of training sessions, as well as guaranteeing the quality of delivery by the wider training team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has an interest in, knowledge and understanding of the daily challenges faced by adults with a learning disability.

The successful candidate will have a background in training or delivering in an academic environment. Direct experience of working with people with a learning disability is strongly preferred.

To be successful, you will have strong facilitation and communication skills, and the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders. A proven ability to work collaboratively, flexibly, and virtually, is essential.

Purpose of the Role

A key part of Chance to Shine’s Communications department, this role will have a particular focus on producing content across the charity’s social media platforms and supporting our overall digital marketing strategy.

Key Responsibilities

The Communications Assistant’s responsibilities include:

Digital Marketing

• Help to manage the departmental content and marketing calendar

The organisation:

We are excited to be working with an inspiring international development charity who have a particular focus on children to find them a Fundraising Project Manager for a 12 month maternity cover. They are looking for an experienced project manager who has worked within a fundraising environment. You will be responsible for keeping strategic projects on track, working with colleagues both in the UK and in-country. With meticulous attention to detail, this full-time role will focus the day to day running of these projects, ensuring stakeholders are held accountable, actions are delivered, and KPIs and Budgets are accurately reported and achieved.

You will be responsible for:

• Be responsible for the administration of the projects, including accurate and thorough recordkeeping, detailed project plans with timeframes, KPIs, and financial targets
• Maintain overview of delivery of the project and lead the continuous planning and prioritisation of project implementation, managing interdependencies effectively.
• Establish and maintain robust up-to-date project management documentation to ensure accountabilities are clear across the project team
• Assist the rest of the team with briefing and co-ordination of asks for fundraising regarding a specific appeal, supporting pipeline management
• Work with colleagues in marketing to produce a comms/content plan and produce timely, cost effective and powerful content to support the projects

Person specification:

• Experience managing projects within a fundraising team

What's on offer:

Programme Promotion:

Information and Taster Sessions: 

• Coordinate and deliver information and taster sessions both internally and externally to inform and engage potential participants. 

Recruitment: 

• Recruit a target number of applicants for the programme. 

• Conduct interviews, complete assessment paperwork, and evaluate applicants’ learning needs and support requirements. 

• Signpost applicants not suitable to the programme to other suitable organsations.

Transition to Employment: 

• Work with the Employment & Progression team to facilitate a smooth transition for students from the training programme into the Employment & Progression phase.

Job Overview: MEWSo is seeking a dynamic and experienced Fundraising Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the fundraising strategy and generate over £200,000 annual income for the organisation. The ideal candidate will have a good background in fundraising, excellent communication skills, and a passion for our mission.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

· Working with the Executive Director, ensure an effective fundraising strategy consistent with MEWSo’s business plan for sustaining the Advice Department and project activities in Islington, Westminster and pan-London

· Research and identify potential donors and their priorities

· Write fundraising applications and budgets and/or tender documents

· Proactively seek funding opportunities and maintain a pipeline of different sources of funding, including one year and multi-year grants from trusts and foundations

· Engage the Chair and Board Members in pursuing fundraising opportunities.

· Assisting in the search for opportunities for tendering, contracts and grant applications to funders and donors

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on all submissions, grant-funded projects and donors

· Produce regular fundraising activity reports to track and monitor progress

· Be the first point of contact for trustees, staff and partners for all fundraising queries

· Attend fundraising events when needed

Skills/experience:

Essential:

1. Excellent understanding of the funding landscape

2. Track record in building successful donor portfolio (trust and foundations)

4. Experience of involving and empowering disadvantaged individuals and groups

The Amari Project is a 2nd stage Supported Accommodation for women who have been sexually exploited, trafficked or who have exited Prostitution.

About the Role

We are looking for Two Part-Time Housing Support Case Workers who will provide support to women who have been sexually exploited, trafficked, or who have exited Prostitution within a safe accommodation in Enfield borough. 

You will be responsible for providing casework to women living within the supported accommodation. You will provide risk & and needs assessments to clients and co-develop client-led support plans to best suit their needs. You will support the service users to achieve their goals around education, training and employment in addition to providing support to improve their health and wellbeing. You will support them to maintain their license and move towards independent living. You will be responsible for house management, ensuring the property is maintained to a good standard and regularly coordinating health and safety checks and reporting issues and repairs to the Landlord. You will be responsible for collating monitoring data for your line manager on a quarterly basis.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and experience of supporting women who have experienced trafficking and sexual exploitation. You will be required to have an awareness of the impacts of trauma on survivors of trafficking and sexually exploitation.

You will have experience of managing risk and following case management procedures to meet the needs of the client group, and the ability to work with women to help them to understand their needs, risk assess, develop safety plan and support them in linking with other agencies.

You will have a working knowledge of the available legal remedies, housing, and welfare benefits.

Outside of this, you will have excellent administrative and time management skills and the ability to effectively manage a caseload.
