Job Title: Systems Analyst (Salesforce) 

Salary: £43,000   

Contract Type: Permanent, ideally, full-time (35 hours per week) although part-time or flexible hours may be considered 

Working location: Home based. The post holder should expect to come into the London based office a maximum of three days per quarter.

The latest research suggesting that the number of children and young people at risk of hunger has rocketed to three million means that one in five children don't have enough to eat.    

When a child is too hungry to learn, when they’re aching for something to eat, they can’t concentrate. They can’t absorb information. Big feelings and worries can be impossible to control. They fall behind in their studies.   

Magic Breakfast provide a nutritious and filling breakfast to over 200,000 children and young people every school day. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target the children most in need without barrier or stigma.    

Magic Breakfast are ambitious to grow our impact to remove hunger as a barrier to learning for all children and young people in the UK. To do this, we need to continue to grow our fundraised income, of which new corporate income is a significant element.   

JOB PURPOSE  

We are seeking a Salesforce expert who is looking for an exciting opportunity to play an instrumental part in the implementation and ongoing development of Magic Breakfast’s technology and data transformation. In this multi-faceted position, you’ll lead on shaping scalable solutions that will enhance operational efficiency and enable accurate data-driven decision making. 

Your expertise will be critical in shaping how the organisation gathers, analyses and utilises data to automate workflows, generate reports and dashboards, and ultimately achieve our strategic objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:   

System analysis and development

• Lead on the development and optimisation of the organisation’s Salesforce environment to meet evolving business needs and enhance operational efficiency 

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify requirements and translate them into scalable Salesforce solutions 

• Provide expert advice and guidance to influence and shape solutions that effectively handle data collection, data aggregation, workflow automation, and reports utilising Salesforce

• Support the integration of Salesforce with other systems in the organisation’s infrastructure (for example, Business Central, FormAssembly, fundraising platforms etc.) 

• Contribute to the delivery of business process automation roadmap to support organisational objectives

• Gather and analyse information and feedback to support future development phases of the solution. 

System administration and user support 

• Provide support for core services by handling incidents, undertaking investigation, working with colleagues to confirm bugs and providing clear and timely communication with users; triaging points for escalation to the Systems and Data Manager 

• Create and maintain a comprehensive Salesforce backlog, prioritising enhancements, bug fixes, and feature requests while ensuring effective management of technical debt to maintain system health and scalability

• Lead contact for day-to-day relationship with external Salesforce support partner; escalating to the Systems and Data Manager where necessary

• Monitoring and governing day to day user activity 

• Reporting on platform health and user engagement 

• Keep up to date with technological advancements and proactively make suggestions for improvements

• Create technical documentation and deliver training across various levels of Magic Breakfast. 

General:   

• Contribute to team meetings, sharing best practice and supporting team members where necessary

Knowledge and experience   

• Significant experience and in-depth knowledge of Salesforce administration, system analysis and development; nonprofit success pack or Nonprofit Cloud specific experience desired but not essential 

• Candidates will be expected to have experience and preferably Salesforce Administration qualifications with demonstrable experience in: 

• developing Salesforce automations (Flow) with demonstrable impact on improving operational efficiencies and business processes 

• translating business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions 

• working with API endpoints and of data mapping 

• creating process documentation and training material 

• delivering demonstrable benefits to organisations through Salesforce development 

• developing and training team members to share Salesforce knowledge.

AKF(UK) Senior Partnerships Managers are part of the Global Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) Partnerships team tasked with identifying and cultivating new funding partnerships and strengthening existing ones to support our strategic goals. They engage with European, Asian and North American government and foundation donors to mobilise resources for ten multi-sector profit and not-for-profit agencies of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) operating across Asia and Africa. In addition, Senior Partnership Managers are responsible for reporting and donor relations on a portfolio of select grants implementing across AKDN themes and geographies in close collaboration with field units, global teams, and our partners. This role will also include line management responsibilities. 

Resource Mobilisation

• Support the Partnerships team to broker and cultivate new relationships and strengthen existing ones with institutional (bilateral and multilateral) and foundations donors

• Lead the development and review of concept notes and proposals (solicited and unsolicited), including logical frameworks and budgets, in close coordination with the Global Programme Team (GPT) and country teams.

• Develop and contribute to positioning pieces and communication materials (e.g. presentations, narrative overviews) to enable regular and effective engagement with donors

• When needed, provide direct hands-on support at country level in design of concept notes, proposals, and budgets and conduct donor or field visits to support discussions with new and existing donors/partners.

• Coordinate processes of contracting and negotiation, engaging relevant stakeholders, and ensuring contracts ‘get over the line’ in a timely and efficient way.

• Contribute to management systems, such as the Award Information Management System (AIMS).

Donor engagement and positioning

• Research, source relevant information, and perform analysis of market trends on new donors, peer organisations, and funding opportunities to identify potential funding and partnering matches for AKF and AKDN priorities.

• Develop positioning materials (e.g. presentations, capability statements, briefs, talking points), collaborating with communications teams to enable effective donor engagement.

• Engage with new and existing donors and partners to identify solicited and unsolicited funding opportunities.

• Guide teams to make informed, effective decisions on which opportunities to pursue (including ‘Go No-Go’ requests).

• Identify, cultivate, and pre-position with partner organisations to form or join consortia focused funding bids.

• Conduct due diligence on new partners in coordination with finance and partnerships teams.

Grants management

• Manage grants through regular coordination with relevant AKDN agencies/country units and the finance department to ensure projects are delivered on-time and on-budget. Proactively support the resolution of challenges as they arise.

• Support the preparation, review and feedback process on donor reports to ensure reports comply with donor requirements and are produced on time and to a high standard.

• Be an interface with donors and communicate on a regular basis about the implementation of on-going grants to maintain a solid relationship and to address queries or challenges effectively. 

Networking and building public awareness

• Participate and actively engage in relevant networking events/conferences to build awareness of AKF/AKDN with the UK and European public more broadly.

• Interface with the Communications team to identify opportunities and support the planning of events either directly targeting or planned jointly with AKF’s institutional donors (e.g., FCDO, EC).

Leadership and People Management

• Play a leadership role in the unit by setting the example of consistently high standards

• Work with the Partnerships Officers to effectively manage grants and to develop and improve quality of concept notes and proposals

• Filter the team and unit's documents ensuring improvements in standards of writing, presentation, content and context.

Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Deputy Directors or Regional Director for Europe & Asia.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field highly preferable

Skills

• Strong level of fluency in French is highly desirable

• Creativity, critical thinking and project management

• Entrepreneurial, pro-active self-starter with maturity and emotional intelligence

• Ability to problem-solve, work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment with numerous and competing deadlines

• Ability to handle complex relationships with colleagues, governance and external stakeholders in a professional manner

Experience

• At least a total of 6 years of professional experience with a minimum of 4 years working in international organisations (preferably, mid to large NGOs), including field-level implementation or management.

• Experience line managing or mentoring staff is highly desirable

• Experience in resource mobilisation and developing relationships, including direct experience with European (EU/EC, Germany, Switzerland, UK) or Asian donors. Experience with North American (USAID, GAC) donors highly desirable

• Experience in developing and writing complex proposals and arguments, business plans/cases, concept papers, briefs, executive summaries, as well as coordinating multiple inputs from a variety of sources, and simultaneously managing a variety of relationships

• Proven experience of managing relationships in complex organisations with numerous stakeholders

• Proven success in managing grants in complex organisations with numerous stakeholder

The Supporter-led Fundraising (SLF) Department at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is responsible for mass fundraising through enabling individuals and communities to support ARUK through their own talents and passions. The team drives registrations and income through third party, virtual and mass participation events and manages these relationships to maximise income.

The Central Fundraising Team is the beating heart of SLF as they work across Regional, Sporting Events and Marketing & Engagement teams to ensure our supporters receive incredible stewardship to achieve their fundraising goals. They ensure processes are in place to allow teams to work together effectively and maximise opportunities and innovation that come through online fundraising platforms and fundraisers.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Line Management

· Line management of two Central Fundraising Executives and Senior Central Fundraising Officer.

· Monitor, review, and empower the team to ensure effective communication and place CFT as the heart of SLF.

· Support all CFT to reach their non-financial targets.

· Work with Senior Manager and Senior officer to deliver monthly meetings with the whole team to share ideas and creativity, gather feedback and understand successes and challenges.

· Spot potential development opportunities across the team.

Monitoring and Reporting

· Ensure the fundraising CRM is being used consistently across CFT the wider SLF department to facilitate accurate supporter stewardship and financial reporting.

· Effectively understand and communicate reporting processes undertaken by the CFT and gather feedback to ensure these are the most effective for both teams.

· Act as Lead for the Fundraising CRM use for the Community Fundraising Managers, RFOs and Central Fundraising Team to allow accurate, insightful, and consistent reporting.

· Provide the CFT and regionally based teams with the tools they need for effective working relationships.

· Provide a monthly Department Report update for CFT as well as ad-hoc reporting when required.

· Use data and trends to support the SLF leadership team in in budgeting and forecasting.

· Work closely with the Data and Digital teams to monitor SLF’s contactable supporter base and segmentation.

· Assess and address Salesforce training needs across SLF

· Proactively Identify and Resolve Salesforce Issues, escalating to Senior Central Fundraising Manager where appropriate.

Supporter Stewardship

· Lead on the delivery of a unified approach to supporter care across SLF, including use of data, automation, product development and LTV.

· Monitor and gather feedback from employees and supporters about our stewardship and ‘surprise and delight’ offerings, constantly seeking creative and inspirational new stewardship methods and relevant improvements.

· Coordinate the re-engagement stewardship project for all SLF teams, with structured content input from Managers and direction from the CFM responsible for DIY fundraising.

· Inspire and train the CFT to nurture active fundraisers and build relationships to increase long-term loyalty.

· Frequently analyse and understand SLF supporter journeys to ensure they are consistent, ensure collaboration and idea sharing and offer the best level of stewardship for the supporter.

· Understand and analyse how RFOs and CFT steward supporters through to ensure cohesion, passing of leads between teams and sharing best practice across the wider team at all times

· Regularly review and analyse the supporter chase process to ensure we are receiving funds in a timely manner.

· Review and analyse the tiering system regularly to ensure it is fit for purpose and is offering the supporter the best stewardship journey.

· Lead on the implementation of recommendations from the annual mystery shopping exercise.

Project Management

· Become the lead for projects which involve the whole or majority of SLF to ensure tasks are delegated fairly and completed on time. Examples include Skydiving Days and Last Hour of Pay as well as platforms such as Tiltify and GivePanel.

· Be the central expert for SLF-wide process and projects, gathering experience and knowledge from all SLF teams and provide efficient and helpful updates accordingly.

Strategy and Operational Planning

· Provide creative and innovative suggestions for new supporter engagement and online fundraising products and projects. Work closely with the Senior Officers to implement and see through to completion.

· Identify opportunities for growth and diversification within the Online Fundraising space.

· Make recommendations on team structure and resource as part of the Ops Planning process.

· Work with the Director of Supporter-led fundraising to develop our strategic approach to innovation around digital and gaming channels.

Collaboration

· Support the CFT Senior Officer in overseeing the joint working between the Central Fundraising Team, the Regional Fundraising Officers and the Sporting Events Officers ensuring that supporters are given the best level of stewardship.

· Work closely with the Marketing & Engagement Team to share trends, learnings and collaborate on new projects and automated stewardship journeys.

· Continue to improve communications across all departments to ensure all resources are available across all teams.

· To ensure the team is the centre point of SLF and sharing communications regularly and have a good understanding of what is happening across each department.

· Work closely with managers from SLF Departments to ascertain workloads for the rest of CFT and ensure support is consistent across the department. To gain feedback from the different departments as to how processes are working and review for potential changes.

· Continue to review the level of support the team will offer to each SLF Department and ensure this is followed.

· Monitoring CFT and RFO KPIs/Goals to ensure consistency.

You will ensure that service users (children and adults) and their families, receive high quality support, from the point of diagnosis and throughout their journey, and will assist them to access funding, equipment and care and support that they are entitled to. You will join a team that makes a real difference to the lives of the people living with muscle-wasting conditions, and their families, in Scotland. The role will be primarily home based, but there will also be a requirement to attend outpatient clinics within the region, attend home visits where appropriate and to support responding to queries through the helpline and information inbox. Some travel will be required to attend meetings and events outside of Scotland. You will work with both statutory and voluntary organisations, clinicians, and health and social care professionals to ensure that people living with muscle wasting conditions get the care and support they need to live well and independently.

Cycle Sisters has grown hugely over the past few years, with an expanded range of programmes and activity. We are keen to continue this journey of growth and have just finalised a new strategy for 2024-2027 which prioritises reaching more women and girls, and ensuring our financial sustainability.

The Fundraising Lead will play a critical role in supporting our ‘sustainability' strategic priority to ensure Cycle Sisters can access the resources it needs to keep making a difference.   This post-holder will lead on growing Cycle Sisters’ unrestricted income, with a focus on community fundraising and corporate partnerships.

The post-holder will need to be an excellent networker, confident in representing the organisation externally and able to motivate a range of stakeholders to financially support Cycle Sisters’ work.

What would you be doing?

General responsibilities 

• Develop strategies to achieve income targets across the areas outlined below 

• Ensure all fundraising initiatives are properly planned, delivered, monitored and evaluated.   All activities should be conducted in adherence to best practice, Cycle Sisters’ ethical policy and charity law. 

• Represent the organisation externally including networking, delivering presentations and speaking at events 

• Work with the Communications & Media Lead to create compelling fundraising messages and materials for a range of audiences 

• Work collaboratively with other team members in Cycle Sisters to maximise all opportunities for fundraising 

Individual Giving and Community Fundraising 

• Oversee event/challenge fundraising, liaising closely with volunteer fundraisers to maximise income and ensure fundraisers feel valued and appreciated 

• Work with the Communications & Media Lead to ensure donors feel valued and appreciated 

• Develop and implement a regular giving strategy, helping us to progress donors from one-off to regular giving

• Work with the CEO to develop a “membership” scheme to generate regular income from Cycle Sisters’ participant network with incentives and benefits for members 

• Work with an external agency to secure income through digital fundraising 

Corporate Fundraising 

Working closely with the CEO: 

• Develop relationships with existing corporate partners, ensuring partners feel valued and are receiving regular updates

• Research and identify new corporate fundraising prospects.  Develop relationships through networking and representing Cycle Sisters externally.

• Create tailored packages to secure in-kind and financial support from corporate partners 

• Develop ideas for earned income services for corporate partners e.g. led rides

About the role:

We have a new opportunity for a highly organised individual to join our Housing Services Team, as a Housing Services & Income Administrator. Global Disability Innovation (GDI) Hub accelerates ideas into impact for a more just world - for disabled people, and all people.

We are a world leading delivery and practice centre, an Academic Research Centre at UCL (University College London) and the first WHO Global Collaborating Centre on Assistive Technology (AT). As an Academic Research Centre and a Community Interest Company, our diverse portfolio and unique set up enables rapid translation of research into practice. Role Purpose

The Head of Research and Delivery will lead the delivery of programmes, client-facing projects and research initiatives for GDI Hub CIC, working across the key themes of Disability Inclusion, Inclusive Design and Cities, Climate Change, Gender, Financial Inclusion and Assistive Technology. It is expected that the role holder will have considerable experience across at least two of these themes and an appetite for both broadening and deepening their knowledge across the others. They will also collaborate with research leads and teams based across GDI Hub including the Academic Research Centre (ARC) at UCL.

This is a senior, strategic, role responsible for team management and leading key projects, leading client, donor and government relationships, and providing strategic subject matter expertise. It would suit someone with a proven-track record in the sector and requires a strong aptitude for strategic thinking, delivery management and the creation of tenable and evidence-based recommendations. They will be creative and collaborative with a drive to make the world a fairer place, inspiring others to do the same.

They will be responsible for delivery on projects and research under their remit and contribute to the development of new projects and research, working closely with partners and clients. Current funders, partners and clients include the UK Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, Asian Development Bank, Climate Investment Funds, UNICEF, Carbon Trust and Expo City Dubai. Role Responsibilities

Project and Research Delivery and Management

• Lead a growing portfolio of projects under the Research and Delivery team including a current portfolio of circa 10 active projects.

• Lead on creating and executing an Advocacy strategy and relationship-building plan to ensure AFH is well connected and respected amongst key stakeholders including politicians, policy makers, governing bodies, other NGOs, etc. Regularly seek new opportunities to enhance external relations.
• Represent AFH in advocacy meetings, humanitarian coordination and other forums, conferences, events, and working groups, leading as many as possible.
• Build and maintain AFH’s relationships with influential people and authorities, including politicians and Governing bodies. Facilitate supporting regular and meaningful engagement with them.
• Build and maintain relationships with regional advocacy groups in and around Palestine, Syria, Yemen and other contexts.
• Position AFH as influential in public debates on Palestine, Syria, Yemen and other countries where AFH works, making AFH a resource for journalists and other key stakeholders covering related issues.
• Keep abreast of regional advocacy groups in and around Palestine, Syria, Yemen and other contexts.

Supporting internal stakeholders

• Guide and advise AFH’s head and field offices on advocacy issues and trends.
• Support our field offices with Advocacy capacity building and enhancing business development, partnerships, and institutional funding.
• Support the head office with enhancing business development, partnerships, and institutional funding, through targeted external stakeholder engagement and improving the technical branding of Action For Humanity in the eyes of potential partner institutions.
• Identify advocacy opportunities by working with the wider Communications and Marketing departments in the writing, editing, commissioning and disseminating of press-releases, op-eds, statements etc., to secure coverage of the organisation’s work across the media spectrum.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to create interesting and engaging multimedia content to ensure the organisation’s marketing and brand strategies incorporates our advocacy position.
• Provide analysis to the CEO, Director of Communications and other stakeholders, including inputs and talking points for meetings, as required.
• Promote a principled approach to advocacy, policy and external relations among relevant internal stakeholders, and ensure that external messaging is evidence-based and driven by field realities.

General

• Closely monitor the evolving humanitarian and political context in the Middle East, Asia and Africa, particularly where AFH currently operates, and disseminate written and verbal updates and analysis in a timely manner to internal and external stakeholders.
• Produce high quality public and private policy and advocacy materials including letters, briefing notes, position papers, and advocacy reports.
• Build up AFH’s advocacy work in relation to domestic programmes.
• Promote the advocacy positions of the Syria Relief brand as well as the Action For Humanity brand.

What we are looking for in our Advocacy & Policy Manager:

Education

• Degree (or equivalent) in relevant field i.e., International Development, International Relations, Public Relations, Economics, Politics.
• Evidence of sector-specific continuous professional development.

Experience

• Strong experience and track record in an advocacy or similar role.
• Experience in building strong relations and networking with key staff within various UN agencies, especially I/NGO, Forums, UN, OCHA meetings and with local ones.
• Collaborating in multi-national organisational problem solving, operations in complex organisations.
• Active participation with I/NGO Forums desirable.
• Understanding of UK political and media landscape.

Skills & Attributes

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent analytical and interpretive ability.
• Team player with a positive, can-do attitude; comfortable with continuously changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong IT skills (programmes such as MS Office, Outlook and PowerPoint).

Location

• This is a remote role but the successful candidate must be in London.
