The Development Programmes Assistant is a newly created role in the team and will work closely with the whole of the Development programmes team in providing effective programme administrative support.

The Finance and Operations Officer will provide general support to the Head of Finance and Operations across the following areas:
Office Management

Managing day-to-day relationship with landlord

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

Terms and Conditions

Location: Money and Mental Health’s central London office for at least 2 days per week with option for home working the rest of the time. The office is wheelchair accessible.

Hours: 3 to 4 days (22.5 to 30 hours) a week. The charity has a flexible working policy with core hours of 10am - 3pm and remaining contracted hours distributed throughout the week flexibly. We are open to discussing other flexible arrangements, such as accommodating school runs.

Holidays: 28 days p.a. (including 3 days of annual leave between Christmas and New Year when the office is closed) plus bank holidays, adjusted for the part-time nature of this post and therefore calculated on a pro rata basis.

About the charity: Cavernomas look like raspberries and are found in the brain and spinal cord. They're formed of abnormal blood vessels with thin leaky walls, which can bleed at any age without warning. 1 in 625 people are thought to have a cavernoma, and whilst most people won't experience symptoms 1 in 2,700 do. Symptoms can include haemorrhages, seizures and other neurological problems. Treatment involves 'wait and see', neurosurgery or stereotactic radiosurgery; with no medications currently available.
Cavernoma Alliance UK (CAUK) is a member-led organisation, run by and for those impacted by cavernoma with more information available on our website. About the roles: The Member Support Assistant is responsible for assisting our Volunteer Manager with administration relating to the support of the charity’s 4,000 members and volunteers. This includes offering a professional service to members of CAUK, typically via phone, email, online, chat, or on occasion in person. The role involves supporting the membership and volunteering processes, ensuring all admin is accurate and up to date. Over time the post-holder will be expected to build a good working knowledge of members and volunteers. They will also be expected to develop strong communication skills, including active listening, alongside the ability to multitask, manage time and prioritise.
The Events and Office Assistant is responsible for assisting the Charity Manager with the administration of events alongside some general office activities for the charity. This includes assisting with the organisation of the virtual Annual Conference, virtual Monthly Information Webinars, in-person Annual Snowdon Climb for Cavernoma, online Cavernoma Awareness Month activities, in-person Autumn Lecture, virtual Secret Santa, attendance by volunteers at external conferences, and any other events organised by CAUK. Job Title: Book-Keeper/administrative responsibilities /HR

Job Purpose:
The Bookkeeping/admin role include Managing and coordinating monthly reporting, budgeting and reforecast processes. Answering the telephone, ordering stationary. Providing back office services such as accounts payable, collection of time sheets and payroll. Monitoring cash flow, petty cash handling, paying invoices, communicating with local government finance team, HR and funding application /budgets and monitoring.
Experience of working in a medium size charity and can be work as part of a team friendly cooperative.
Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeepers are responsible for several duties related to managing financial records these responsibilities may include:
· Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software (QuickBooks online) or databases then filing hard copies
· Preparing financial statements showing organisation income and expenditure
· Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
· Completing VAT returns (if related)
· Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and alerting the management of errors
· Recording any inconsistencies to help the Accountants reconcile inaccuracies
· Developing monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheets
· Work with purchasing to enter all PO driven invoices.
· Track employee purchases – ensure appropriate use of company credit cards.

Role Requirements
Site wide general housekeeping service – ensure that the housekeeping services is of an acceptable level and is consistent across site.
- Carry out a cleaning service in allocated buildings/rooms/areas ensuring that daily tasks are completed according to the standard operating procedures in relation to the cleanliness/hygiene standards.
- Follow infection control procedures whenever carrying out duties and ensure procedures are followed should there be an infection control outbreak.
- Liaise with the Housekeeping Supervisor and House Staff on a daily basis – carrying out special requests in relation to Housekeeping.
- Ensure safe storage of cleaning materials and equipment and sufficient stock is maintained – informing the Housekeeping Supervisor of stock requiring ordering.
- Assist in the cleaning of communal areas on a daily basis and cleaning of carpets, curtains and high dusting on a rotating schedule.
- Ensure that any repairs required to fixtures and fittings are reported to the designated Facilities Helpdesk as soon as possible and any issues are reported to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Assist in routine housekeeping audits as outlined in the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and ensure any works are to agreed service levels.
- Prioritise work to complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Assist other members of the Site Services and Facilities teams as required.
- Undertake other or additional duties that are within your skills and abilities, as the organisation may reasonably require from time to time.
