Afterschool play sessions help local children access a healthy meal and a safe place to play afterschool. Would you like to help prepare a warm meal for the children that attend our playground? The meals are based on the ingredients we get donated and what you feel comfortable cooking. Examples of dishes we prepare are jacket potatoes, pasta, wraps, and currys. No catering experience is required and training opportunties available such as Food Hygiene courses. Any expenses from volunteering will be reimbursed and drinks and snacks availble during the shift.

Future Talent is a dynamic charity dedicated to nurturing and supporting the musical talents
of young people from low-income backgrounds. Founded by HRH The Duchess of Kent and
Nicholas Robinson in 2004, as we approach our 20th anniversary in November, we are
expanding our board to include two new Trustees. This is a pivotal moment for our charity,
marked by exciting developments including an album release and a concert at The
Roundhouse, Camden, to showcase our young musicians and shine a spotlight on the
charity’s work.
Our Vision
Future Talent currently supports 115 young musicians annually through our regional clusters
across the UK. We collaborate with regional music hubs, schools, arts organisations, and
funders to build a sustainable network of support. Our goal is to have a regional relationship
manager in every UK region and to double the number of young musicians we support over
the next three years.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Trustee, you will play a crucial role in guiding Future Talent’s strategy and operations.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Contributing to the development and implementation of the charity’s strategic plan
• Supporting fundraising efforts through leveraging personal and corporate networks
• Championing Future Talent’s mission and advocating for our young musicians
• Attending quarterly board meetings and participating in sub-committees as required
• Ensuring the charity complies with its governing documents, charity law, and other
relevant legislation/regulations
Ideal Experience and Skills
We are seeking Trustees with experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Strong individual and/or corporate networks with a willingness to support
fundraising
• Networks/experience in music genres beyond classical/jazz
• PR and media relations
• Establishing youth voice structures in youth-led organisations
• Expertise in campaigning, influencing, or advocacy

It’s fantastic that you’d like to find out more about volunteering at St Mungo’s. We are looking for volunteers to facilitate regular gardening sessions for our clients, guided by St Mungo’s values. This will be a great opportunity to share your talent for and interest in gardening. We’re seeking someone who is open to helping clients learn at their own pace, and take pride in their achievements. You will also support in planning the gardening sessions to meet the needs of the participants and take a creative approach to how these are facilitated.

- Operating tools including lawn mower and hedge trimmers.

The Bay is a nature and wellbeing programme of events, offering people living around Morecambe Bay area, the opportunity to get outdoors, connect with nature, and take part in a range of activities. Barrow-in-Furness is at the northernmost point of the Bay project area. Assist with group nature and wellbeing sessions in the Barrow area with The Bay team.

The Bay project run weekly two-hour long Nature and Wellbeing sessions using the coastal environment and natural world to positively impact people’s health and mental well-being. We are seeking volunteers to support Nature and Well-being Officer to run the sessions.
Group activities range from conservation, growing, arts and crafts, mindfulness and nature walks. The group participants will be working towards a John Muir Award, you could get yours too! Your role will involve helping to set up, support the running of the activities and packing up of the event.
No prior experience is required, however ideally the volunteer would be able to give their time regularly each week so that they can form relationships with those in the group.
You don’t need to be a wading bird or starfish expert, just have a natural enthusiasm for the all the wildlife that you and session attendees will encounter.
Travel costs will be reimbursed and lift sharing can often be arranged on request.

This community focused role is based indoors or outdoors.

What is a Wildlife Watch Leader Volunteer?
Wildlife Watch is the junior branch of the Wildlife Trusts and is the UK's leading club for young environmentalists. Our local Wildlife Watch clubs across Cumbria run a varied programme of fun environmental and wildlife focused activities, aimed at 6–12 year-olds and their families.
As a Wildlife Watch Leader you will be a key player in Cumbria Wildlife Trust’s work with young people. You will have the opportunity to engage with a group of young people on a regular basis, to getting to know them and helping to shape their learning and understanding about the environment. This role can extremely rewarding for you.

• Promote Wildlife Watch and Cumbria Wildlife Trust, using templates and posters provided
• Keep in regular contact with Cumbria Wildlife Trust, young people and their families
• Support young people gaining Wildlife Watch awards, celebrating their activities and achievements

Volunteers are able to receive travel expenses of 0.45p per mile agreed in advanced with their staff contact.

The Trust will apply for a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for volunteers undertaking this role because it involves working with children and young people or vulnerable adults.

Do you enjoy looking for wildlife while out walking? Do you have an attention to detail? Then why not visit our wildlife walk sites to assess whether all the guide information written about them is still valid.
Cumbria Wildlife Trust have created a number of ‘great places to see’ and ‘wildlife walks’. The locations cover a range of beautiful landscapes and habitats across Cumbria, many off the beaten track, from fell top to seashore.
Visitor information guides to these walks, are available on our website and publications. These guides are great for visitors who want to get back to nature and want to check out certain aspects, before visiting.
Your role includes visiting these sites, checking that all the guide information is both up to date and correct. This will involve looking at flora and fauna species, visitor access, parking locations and a whole host more which will vary between each site.
Frequency: you will need a full day to visit one site.
This role will involve lone working in remote places, sometimes with poor mobile signal.
You will be provided with an emergency plan and a buddy for each session to ensure you carry out the assessment, safely.
There will be a requirement to walk on rough and uneven terrain, be able to identify UK flora and fauna species.
You will also need to get to these sites, which are often in remote places away from public transport networks.
We will provide ID sheets, maps of the reserves as well as copies of the current publications and features to look out for.

We are looking to recruit an Administration Volunteer for the Camden Group. Our Administration Volunteers are the linchpin for our local groups’ activities. They act as the first point of contact and they make sure all relevant information is circulated to other volunteers and members. And they play an important role in keeping our data and details up to date to comply with data protection legislation.
In this role you’ll develop your administration and organisation skills. Most importantly you’ll be help your local group run efficiently, so they can keep providing valuable services to our MS community.

This role will involve supporting people in emotional distress or needing somebody to talk to. This opportunity is ideal for those wanting to improve their listening skills. All training provided including mental health awareness and telephone listening. Gain personal satisfaction and a sense of achievement by experiencing the diversity of telephone support. Mindline call handlers will have the opportunity to volunteer for our Mindline Trans + helpline as a progression opportunity. You will need to attend Trans Awareness training. You will be offering emotional support to transgender people, their family and friends. Mindline Trans+ operates every Friday 8pm – 11pm. Minimum commitment for Mindline Trans+ 2 x 3hr shifts per month.

Through targeted training and continuous research, the CIC seeks to transform care experiences and outcomes, ensuring that young people receive the support they need to thrive.
Vibes in Care CIC seeks a dedicated Volunteer Fundraiser to support our work. This role is ideal for someone passionate about social change, with a flair for creative fundraising.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute fundraising campaigns and events.
- Engage with the community and local businesses to increase awareness and raise funds.
- Oversee event logistics to ensure success and target achievement.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors and sponsors.
- Accurately record fundraising activities and manage donations.
- Regularly update and provide feedback to the team.
Requirements:
- Experience in fundraising is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong organisational and event planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative thinker and proactive problem solver.
