The HR Assistant will be assisting in responding to candidates’ applications, updating Quilombo UK policies and documentation, induction of new members and organising interviews. The candidate should have organisational and communication skills, but further guidance will be given by other members if needed. The HR assistant will be working closely with the HR Admin Assistants. The candidate will have further possibilities to develop their skill sets through tasks given.
The role provides you with flexibility and autonomy at work. Where necessary, specific training will also be provided to help you develop and grow your skill set

- Assisting in induction of new members

The objective of the role is:
- Finding scripts and other source materials.
- Maintain a clear and comprehensive system for content files and archives
- Assist in production-related tasks as needed
- Approving major production changes, Coordinating work, managing whole edits and producing ideas for content.
- Monitoring post-production processes to ensure accurate completion of details
- Conducting meetings with staff to discuss production progress and check-ins to ensure production objectives goals are met

As the Video Production Assistant, you will support the Video Production Manager and team in all stages of video production from pre-production through post-production. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a creative environment while contributing to Quilombo UK's mission of promoting cultural awareness and community wellbeing.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist with setting up video/photography equipment for shoots and live events
- Help manage video footage, files, and digital assets
- Perform basic video editing tasks
- Provide production assistance as needed (e.g. props, crafty, runner duties)
- Support live streaming setup and execution for events
- Archive and organize video footage and media files
- Attend video shoots, events, and team meetings as required
Essential Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with video production equipment and workflows
- Working knowledge of Video Editing software
- Basic understanding of different video file formats and codecs
- Ability to follow direction and take initiative when needed
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Good interpersonal skills to work well in a team environment
- Proficiency with Google Workspace/Microsoft Office
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience with live video production/streaming

The objective of the role is to:
- Assist with audio set-up for the commentary station
- Mix levels both on the audio mixer and ATEM Mini to get the best broadcast sound possible both from commentary microphones and venue mics
- Advise on best practices to get the best possible audio for the broadcast
- The ideal candidate will work in our Kingston office setting up microphones, doing sound checks and audio mixing before livestreamsand monitoring and adjusting audio during livestreams.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Experience with USB microphones
- Experience with multimic setup
- Experience with audio mixing and audio mixing software
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Previous broadcast, live streaming, or podcast recording experience
- Knowledge and experience of OBS and use of ATEM Mini.

- Proactively identify and pursue potential collaborations, partnerships, or initiatives that align with Quilombo's mission and goals.
- Stay updated on Quilombo's achievements, initiatives, and developments to effectively promote and represent the organization to stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with various departments within Quilombo to gather information, share updates, and coordinate activities related to partnerships.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of stakeholders, tracking interactions, commitments, and follow-up actions.
