We are looking to recruit a Group Coordinator for our Chorley and Leyland group. As our local Group Coordinator you’ll take the lead in making sure your local group works as effectively as possible. You’ll recruit, induct and support other group volunteers to make sure your group’s activities meet the needs of your local MS community. In this role you’ll be able to develop your leadership, management, communication, organisation and motivation skills. 

Time Commitment

We are looking to recruit a Fundraising Volunteer for the Chesterfield and District Group. As our Fundraising Volunteer you’ll support your Group Coordinator to organise local fundraising activities and events throughout the year.

In this role you’ll be able to develop your organisation, communication and team working skills. Most importantly you’ll inspire your local community to raise funds that help make sure no one has to face MS alone.

Lead Support Volunteer

We’re the MS Society – a community of people living with MS, scientists, campaigners, listeners, organisers, ambassadors and fundraisers. Our volunteers are a key part of achieving our goals and their support is vital. Join us.

We are looking to recruit a Lead Support Volunteer for the Stratford-upon-Avon and District Group. As a Lead Support Volunteer, you will be coordinating the support team, representing the needs of people affected by MS and our services and collate information about relevant local organisations. The Alliance for Youth Justice is seeking a treasurer and two trustees who share our commitment to social justice and achieving positive change for children and young people in the youth justice system.

As members of our Board of Trustees successful candidates will play a vital role in making sure that the Alliance for Youth Justice is run effectively, is helping the people it is supposed to in the best way possible, and is using its funds wisely and appropriately.

We are particularly seeking trustees with knowledge and experience in charity finance, fundraising and communications and influencing.

As an organisation committed to anti-oppressive practice and anti-racism we recognise the need to consider and rebalance where power lies in our organisation and we are particularly keen to hear from applicants who are:

We bring together over 75 organisations advocating for and with children to drive positive change in youth justice in England and Wales.

We work to influence policy, legislation and practice to address issues affecting children caught up in crime.

We are looking for a team of incredible volunteers to join us at our Round the Harbours bike ride event.

The new event will have around 300 participants who will be cycling around the picturesque seaside towns of Havant, Southsea, Fareham and Gosport and can choose either the 32 or 54 miles route.

Together these cyclists will be hoping to raise over £30,000 for the MS Society to help support the MS Community.

Event Date – Saturday 6th July

Event start – 8am Registration / 9am ride starts

Volunteer timings – 7:30 – 17:00 (all day) 

                                – 7:30 – 12:00pm or 12:00pm – 17:00pm (half days)

There are various roles available on the day from making some noise and encouraging our cyclists, to looking after the route and handing out medals at the finish.

Join our team of volunteers and support everyone who is cycling to stop MS.

This role is only required on 6th July 2024 for one day and there are various times throughout the day. Shifts will be from 2-6 hours depending on role and location.

There are no specific skills required just enthusiasm and a can-do attitude.’
