Roles may include:-

- Assisting, when necessary, with shop window displays
- Sorting through donated stock and bric-a-brac items for its suitability for sale

Hours/Time Commitment
Opening Hours: 9:30am to 4:30pm. Monday to Saturday. You choose how long and how often you would like to volunteer, whether this is 1 hour a week or 1 day a month.

The Ryan Neuro Therapy Centre supports people with neurological conditions by delivering physiotherapy and other therapies to benefit their health and welfare in a caring, friendly, and supportive environment. We are a small self-funded charity in Coulsdon, reliant entirely on fundraising and donations to provide the income needed each year to run the Centre. The organisation took on charitable status in 1995 supporting people living with Multiple Sclerosis. In 2023, we expanded our provision to support other neurological conditions. The Charity has 18 members of staff (all part-time), 15 volunteers and over 100 members with neurological conditions.

Winterbourne Medieval Barn is looking to recruit a Trustee with specific responsibility for overseeing the activities of the Events and Publicity Committee.
Immersed in over 600 years of history and heritage, Winterbourne Medieval Barn is based in a conservation area north of Bristol.
Major building works were completed in 2020 with support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and many other generous funders and donors to revitalise the whole Barn complex into a community heritage site promoting the knowledge of medieval history, its architecture, agricultural landscape and people.
As a multi-purpose venue, we host a range of activities for the local community including family activities, music and theatre performances, craft workshops, a monthly lecture series, and our flagship annual community events the Medieval Fayre and Orchard Harvest Day.
The private hire of the Barn and its facilities are available all year round and managed separately to the Trust events by the Venue Manager. The Barn and seminar rooms can be hired for weddings, celebration events, film shoots, and meetings.
Day to day managenent of events is carried out by two part time staff covering events and volunteer management.
Specific Role
To Chair meetings of the Trust’s Events and Publicity Committee and ensure effective decisions are made and responsibilities for actions are carried out.
Specifically supporting the Community Events and Volunteer Coordinators in the planning and budgeting of Trust run events and related publicity.

Founded in 2010 in America, the It Gets Better Project has since grown into a global movement, with affiliated charities in 20 different countries. About The Role
We're looking for someone to help with the vital work of caring for a wide variety of birds, along with their varied wetland habitats. It's a core part of how we restore wetlands and unlock their power.
The role includes:
- Learning about best practice in bio-security and animal care, keeping up our high standards
- Helping with bird feeding, bird observation tasks, helping with bird catches and movements, and checking the collection is safe and secure.
- Helping out with maintenance and cleaning of exhibits and collection facilities: from vegetation clearing, to repairing pond edging and cobbling works, cleaning nest boxes and winter hides, and painting and maintaining them.
- Keeping up to date with WWT news and talking to visitors about events and activities that might spark their interest.
- Potentially presenting talks to the public (we'll make sure you have the training you need if you want to do this).
Volunteers are an essential part of the WWT team. You'll get a warm welcome, including information on training, equipment and anything else you need.
About You
If you want to make a real contribution to WWT's work, in an inspiring environment, this might be the role for you. You'll learn new, transferable skills and be part of a friendly and dedicated team.
A can-do attitude and willingness to get involved in all weathers are a must. This can be a physically demanding role - you'll be out and about in all weathers.
Having experience in bird keeping and welfare and some practical habitat management would be helpful. The team works closely together, but the willingness to work under your initiative is important. Having, or being happy to develop, the confidence to engage our visitors with the work of WWT is also a key part of this role.

Bright Futures UK is looking for a compassionate volunteer Primary Tutor in Nottingham to support a young person in year 2 whose education has been impacted by long-term illness. You’ll provide one-on-one tutoring, helping them catch up on schoolwork, boost confidence, and develop key academic skills in a friendly and supportive environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Tutor primary school subjects based on the student’s individual needs.
- Help them regain confidence and thrive academically.
- Create a positive, engaging learning atmosphere.
Location: Nottingham
Time Commitment: 1 hour per week, for a minimum of 14 sessions.
