What will you be doing:
We are looking for a new Trustee to take the role of Treasurer to support our Trustee board and staff team, responsible for overseeing the financial management and health of the foundation/charity. This role is for someone who is organised and methodical, with a strong background in finance accounting or a related field. The Treasurer, as a member of the Board of Trustees, will work closely with the Business Director to ensure that the charity’s finances are managed effectively, transparently and in line with regulatory requirements.

Additional Duties as Treasurer
Financial Oversight:
- Identify and bring to the attention of the Board, any financial risks facing the charity

- Ensure that the charity’s financial resources are sufficient to meet the charity’s current and future needs, and to advise the Board on the charity’s reserves policy, and to ensure that this policy is reviewed and monitored regularly
- Review and monitor financial trends within the charity and the sector within which the charity operates
Budgeting:
- Scrutinise the proposed annual budget, and advise and guide the Board accordingly
- Scrutinise management accounts, performance against budget, trading performance etc, and to advise the Board accordingly
- Scrutinise and regularly evaluate the charity’s cash flow position, and to inform the Board of any concerns
- Review longer term forecasts of capital resources and of income and expenditure
Reporting:
- Work with the Business Director to formally present the accounts to the Annual General Meeting drawing to members’ attention all relevant matters, and to respond to questions from the floor
Compliance:
- Ensure that the charity operates within the financial guidelines set out in current legislation, by the Charity Commission, in the charity’s constitution and by the Board Record Keeping
Fund Management:
- Ensure that funding received for specific purposes is separately accounted for and spent for the purposes for which it was given
Audit:
- Ensure that the charity has adequate financial and internal audit controls and that these are monitored and reviewed regularly
- Meet the external auditor as required
Policy Development:
- To ensure that all financial policies, procedures and the appointment of external financial advisors are reviewed on a regular basis
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including documentation for all income expenses and donations
Person Specification - Essential
- Proven experience in finance, accounting or a related field (CPA or equivalent qualification)
- Be a Director of the company (limited by guarantee) Please check that you fulfil the conditions on the UK government website
- Be willing to provide data required to be added to the Charity Commission website, Companies House website and the Financial Conduct Authority Register – your name only will be visible to the public.

- Regularly attend Full Board meetings (currently every 3 months)
- Be confident about our purpose and work and be an ambassador for Caspari Foundation
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks) and MS Office (especially Excel)

- A willingness to devote the necessary time and effort to their duties, including attending the bimonthly board meetings and finance related subgroup meetings

As a Secretary to the Stokenchurch Dog Rescue Board of Trustees, you will be able to donate your skills, time and attention to our worthwhile and rewarding cause. We’ve designed our volunteering programme to be flexible and adaptive to you. All volunteering is 100% remote and you’re supported fully by our team. Long Covid SOS is a registered charity dedicated to throwing a lifeline to people living with the impact of Long Covid by pushing for greater recognition and awareness, advocating for targeted research and providing support and resources. With a passionate team of volunteers and Trustees, we use our voice to promote recognition and understanding of the experiences of people with Long Covid and its devastating effects on their lives. Role overview:

Our aim is simple – to deliver a vision where fewer people get cancer and those that do receive equal access to excellent treatment. However, we can’t do this without your help. Our shops in local communities are crucial to us raising vital funds. So, we’d like you to volunteer your time and commitment to help us make a difference. Choice International is a UK based not-for-profit international development organisation that seeks to address inequality issues both overseas and within the UK. We promote equality, diversity and inclusion via researching, developing and implementing development projects for disabled people and other disadvantaged communities in the UK and overseas.
In view of upcoming development projects, we are seeking applications for a Project Development & Marketing Volunteer to work from our office in East London. There is opportunity for working from home after the first month.
This is an exciting position that offers plenty of scope to make a real difference in support of equality and diversity. We are currently delivering disability sports projects and events in India and in London.
The role is to assist the organisation with the development of national and international programmes for disability and equality rights and other related projects through research, administration and writing proposals, emails and reports.
The main responsibilities will be:
• To research potential partnerships and assist in the development of project proposals
• To research funding opportunities and assist in the development of grant proposals
• To assist in the organisation and management of Choice International activities and events
• To represent Choice International at conferences, exhibitions and seminars, as necessary
• To support other administrative tasks, as necessary.

NGA is focused primarily in the London boroughs of Hackney and Islington.
We are seeking both experienced volunteers and others without that experience but with transferable skills and a strong interest in developing their fundraising abilities. Volunteers will engage in grant selection and funding bid writing to secure funding for NGA’s community-building activities.

Airplay is part of the RAF Benevolent fund and run by One YMCA. We provide youth clubs for children aged eight to eighteen which includes Ben Clubs for children aged 5 to 7 too. We provide a range of social activities in state-of-the-art facilities with sessions run by our friendly youth workers.

MAIN TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
· To support the provision of the Airplay and Ben Club activities and workshops
· Developing relationships with young people in a safe environment
· Supervising children and young people in activities, workshops and discussion sessions
· Engaging in learning and play with younger children
· Working with children and young people to track their progress
· Data entry/light admin work may be required
YOU WILL NEED:
· Good communication skills
· Knowledge/Experience of working with children/young people/families
· Ability to engage with young people
· Team player with a flexible approach
· Non-judgmental and understanding in the differing needs of families
· Any practical skills to assist with activities
· Basic understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding
