Transformative Faith Leadership

We’ve built a learning experience that’s changing the lives of the ummah’s future leaders, change-makers and visionaries.

We teach structured, engaging and transformative face-to-face foundational Islamic education to over 1,800 students across the UK. 

Our Mission

Our mission is to deliver transformative educational experiences that help students live truly God-centred lives. 

We achieve this by offering a comprehensive Islamic essentials program on over 21 university campuses across the UK. 

Employing our unique Roots teaching method, we guide students to absorb the information, engage in reflection, and ultimately apply the knowledge in their lives.

• Roots aims to cultivate an environment wherein team members are encouraged to be aware of their work and the purpose it serves.

• ‘’Worship Allah as if you see Him, and while you see Him not, truly He sees you.’’ Roots volunteers are encouraged to strive for excellence in their work, and to develop and improve in what they do, for the sole purpose that our Lord is watching.

• Roots is keen to ensure its volunteers are skilled at understanding a situation from another person's perspective and reacting with compassion, to ensure enhanced relationships and performance.
