Background of Cystic Fibrosis Trust
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a condition affecting around 11,000 people in the UK and 70,000–100,000 worldwide. As a genetic disorder, individuals will have CF from birth and for the rest of their life.
Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of people living with CF. Formed in 1964, the Trust has continued to invest in cutting-edge research into the causes and treatments for the condition, campaigning for fast and equal access to transformational therapies and supporting improvements in the standards of clinical care. As an organisation, we have supported many of the major advances in CF research and healthcare. However, there is still much to be done.
Information about this role
The Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships team is looking for a Philanthropy Volunteer to support them in securing high-value income.
In this role you will provide support across a number of areas of trust/foundation and high-net-worth fundraising (prospect research, mailings, thanking, application and report writing, etc.). to introduce you to the skills needed for an entry-level philanthropic fundraising role, whilst you also help us to raise much-needed funds for the charity. We have had great success with this role in the past, with all of our past volunteers so far having secured 4-figure donations for Cystic Fibrosis Trust and gained valuable experience for a career in fundraising. We may also be able to offer work within the Corporate Partnerships team to provide more varied experience.
We are looking for someone who:
- has some experience in general admin tasks and working with Microsoft 365 applications (e.g. Word)
- is available to volunteer over the next six months in Head Office
- is organised, with good attention to detail
- is good at team working.
Training and support
- You will be managed by an experienced Philanthropy Manager.
- Full support will be given with software packages that we use, e.g., NG donor management database.
- You will be provided with a laptop to use for your volunteering.
- We would also be open to offering career advice and mock interviews, depending on length of time with us.
- Volunteering hours are flexible to fit around you.

What will I be doing? You will be supporting JDRF UK (soon to be Breakthrough T1D)’s Content Team with the creation of content about the research our charity funds. The Content Team creates website and social media content about type 1 diabetes, its management, and research to prevent, treat and cure it. ROLE DESCRIPTION
Join our dynamic team as a Volunteer HR Recruiter and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our non-profit Organisation. As a key member of our Human Resources team, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring the acquisition of talented individuals passionate about our mission. Your expertise will contribute to building a dedicated and skilled workforce, enabling us to impact the community positively. Collaborate with hiring managers to identify hiring needs and implement effective sourcing strategies,
Interview and Selection
Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline.
Conduct initial screening interviews to effectively evaluate the candidates’ skill set and cultural fit while providing an engaging experience.
Foster positive relationships with candidates, keeping them informed about the status of their applications.
Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.

The Professional Development Programme with Quilombo UK runs over a period of 16 weeks, is UNPAID and requires a minimum of 12 hours commitment per week across Monday, Wednesday and/or Friday.
Upon successful application, our HR team will contact you to arrange an interview. Following a successful interview, we'll initiate the onboarding process by sending you the necessary documents. Once your onboarding and identification documents are received and verified, you'll be invited to a 6-hour HR and System Induction. Subsequently, you'll meet with your Head of Department or Assistant Manager for your First Day.

CF provides children with additional tutoring and healthy meals; delivering tutoring either one to one or in small groups of 3 students to ensure children get the right amount of support to excel through their educational journey.
CF have recently started to work with a number of new schools, and we need extra support to coordinate the delivery of tuition. We have created a new voluntary role to support the operations team, you will be providing a direct impact on the children we work with every day.
As a Volunteer Programme Coordinator you will support the daily delivery of sessions, providing trouble shooting to schools and tutors, ensuring tutoring sessions are delivered on time and session notes are uploaded to the shared drive. As the Coordinator you will prepare a debriefing for each school at the end of the day, escalating any barriers to performance and or safeguarding concerns.

Rambert School is a world leading centre of ballet and contemporary dance training; a dance education sector innovator shaping new generations of dance professionals to the highest standard. Our international influence and reputation honours the name of Marie Rambert, the iconic Polish dance pioneer of the Ballets Russes who founded the School in the UK in 1920. Under Rambert’s guiding light, the Rambert School and the Company which flowered from it, became synonymous with technical excellence and creativity.
We are looking for new Trustees who will bring a breadth of professional and personal experience and expertise to the Board. We are at a crucial stage in our strategic development and are looking for Trustees who can make a positive impact by broadening our horizons and shaping strategy.
They will champion and support our reach into new communities, help us to develop new income streams, build on our national and international reputation and ensure that Rambert School continues to teach world class students for the next 100 years. Our new Trustees will share the School’s belief that dance, choreography and creativity can transform the lives of young people and society more broadly.
We are looking for individuals with the passion, lived experience and interpersonal skills to join our welcoming Board of Trustees. Members of our Board reflect the Nolan Principles in their work, and are committed, supportive and generous with their time and goodwill. They bring integrity, compassion, independent judgement, a willingness to speak their minds, and an ability to listen and collaborate with others. We believe that lived experience, professional knowledge and background are of equal value and importance and this is fundamental to the recruitment process for new Trustees.

Over the last six years, our organisation has gone from strength to strength: growing our staff team and Board to fulfil our vision of a society in which women and girls are safe, healthy and have equal opportunities at work, at home and in public life.
We are looking for a Chair who shares our ambition to ensure adequate and consistent funding for organisations that support women and girls. Our Board is comprised of twelve dedicated and skilled Trustees with a range expertise and backgrounds and we are now seeking a new passionate and committed Chair.
Founded in 2008, our work focuses on the key issues affecting women’s and girls’ lives including violence and sexual abuse, reproductive rights and health, poverty and economic inequality and mental health and recognises the connections between them. We have channelled funding to small charities and organisations working in the most deprived areas of the UK and responded to the specific challenges faced by Black and minoritised led women’s and girls’ organisations.
This is an exciting time to join the organisation. We are currently working on our new strategy which will begin in 2025. Person Specification

· Previous governance experience in the not for profit or commercial sector is welcome but not compulsory.
· Interested individuals should be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for the work we do, an
unwavering promise to live our values and a commitment to work collaboratively and
positively with our board and staff teams to achieve the very best outcomes for bereaved
children.
· All Trustees are appointed for an initial term of two years and are eligible to re-stand for a
subsequent term. Members normally serve for two terms to ensure a balance of
continuity and refresh.
· The Board of Trustees normally meets four times a year and in addition, Trustees are
encouraged to take on responsibility and actively participate in sub-committees, attend
events and support the staff teams as appropriate.
