Job description

Join Our Team as a Volunteer Fundraiser Manager and Help us Make a Difference!

Are you passionate about supporting individuals and families affected by ADHD? Do you want to contribute your leadership and organizational skills to a cause that truly makes a difference in your local community? If so, we need you!

About Us: We are a small but dedicated charity in West Yorkshire, committed to supporting anyone affected by ADHD. Founded by Corinne Hunter, a mother of four (three of whom have ADHD and autism), our charity was born out of a profound need for support and resources for families like hers. Recognizing the lack of statutory support, Corinne took action to create a haven of understanding and assistance.

Our Mission: Our mission is to provide comprehensive support to both children and adults with ADHD, as well as their parents, carers, and siblings. Our team is uniquely equipped with personal experience of living with ADHD—some of us have ADHD ourselves, while others care for someone with this condition. This firsthand experience fuels our passion and empathy in offering effective support.

What We Do:

  • Monthly Peer Support Sessions: We organize peer support groups in every Local Authority within West Yorkshire, fostering community and understanding.
  • Weekly Play Sessions: Children with ADHD and their families can enjoy weekly play sessions designed to be inclusive and supportive.
  • Social Events: We host social events for teenagers and adults with ADHD, providing a safe space to connect and have fun.
  • Respite Sessions: We offer fully funded respite sessions for parents and carers to take a much-needed break.
  • Parenting Courses: Our parenting courses are tailored specifically for parents of neurodiverse children, providing practical strategies and support.
  • Disability Benefits Support: We assist families in navigating the complex process of applying for disability benefits.
  • Educational Advocacy: We support parents and carers in ensuring their children receive the necessary educational support.

Why Volunteer as a Fundraiser Manager? By volunteering as a Fundraiser Manager, you will play a crucial role in sustaining and expanding our programs. Your efforts will help us reach more families in need, provide essential resources, and create a stronger, more supportive community for those affected by ADHD.

Volunteer Fundraiser Manager Role:

  • Leadership: Manage a team of volunteers dedicated to organizing and holding bi-annual fundraising events.
  • Event Planning: Plan, coordinate, and execute events such as charity balls and other fundraising activities.
  • Team Coordination: Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of volunteers to ensure successful event execution.
  • Fundraising Strategy: Develop and implement creative fundraising strategies to meet and exceed fundraising goals.
  • Community Engagement: Engage with local businesses, organizations, and community members to secure sponsorships and donations.

What We Need:

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Experience in event planning or fundraising is a plus, but not required.
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for planning unique and engaging fundraising events.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for our cause and a commitment to making a difference.

How to Get Involved: If you are ready to make a meaningful impact and lead our fundraising efforts, we would love to hear from you! Join us as a Volunteer Fundraiser Manager and be part of a team that truly cares. Together, we can change lives and build a brighter future for individuals and families affected by ADHD.

Let's make a difference together—one event at a time!
