Responsibilities and duties
· Team Up: Partner with another volunteer to run an informative 3-4 hour event.
· Set the Stage: Help set up the room and create a welcoming atmosphere.
· Engage and Educate: Chat with BT customers, explaining the Digital Switch and sharing what Neighbourhood Watch is all about.
· Personal Connections: Interact with attendees one-on-one or in small groups.
· Feedback Fun: Collect feedback through surveys and learn what our community thinks.
· Share the Knowledge: Hand out information leaflets.
· Wrap It Up: Ensure everything is tidied up and attendees leave informed and happy.

A bit about this role
This role is based in the Canterbury area covering postcodes CT1, CT2, CT3, CT4, CT5, CT6, ME13.
As a charity we are able to help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations we receive from members of the public. · Committee volunteers need to be aged 18+
Time expectation
Our fundraising team leaders usually spend three to four hours per week in this role, which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.

At Cats Protection we believe our volunteers should be happy and confident in their roles. We provide support and guidance from our National Cat Centre and through our regional and local volunteer groups and teams. We offer engaging online and face-to-face training, expenses and have policies and processes to help volunteers get the most out of their time with us.

Our team is based all over the UK, so we’re set up to provide you with a great experience no matter where you’re based. We cover expenses to join us at in-person events, so you can be based anywhere and still get involved. No prior experience is required, we’ll give you everything you need. There is no set time commitment, but roughly 2-4 hours a month is average for this role, depending on how much you choose to get involved with.

A bit about this role
We need Fundraising Volunteers to help in and around Medway. The postcode areas we are active in are ME1, ME2, ME3, ME4, ME5, ME6, ME7, ME8.
We are a movement of people championing the welfare of cats. We lead society in a richer understanding of all cats and care for those that need our help.
Our Volunteer led branches operate within local communities nationwide and rely on funds donated by generous members of the public to continue to help cats and kittens in need of new homes, supporting owners with neutering, managing trap, neuter and return programmes and educating people about cat welfare.
Our fundraising volunteers are part of a passionate team that help raise funds to help cats. They help plan and deliver exciting and varied fundraising events, which can be anything from craft fairs, cake sales, sponsored abseils – and anything in between!

If so, we have an incredible opportunity just for you! Neighbourhood Watch is organizing 250 events nationwide to help BT customers understand the Digital Switch. The events will be held in community venues such as libraries, community centers and village halls.
We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic volunteers to join us in making these events a success. And don’t worry if you’re new to the Digital Switch – we’ll provide all the training you need!
Responsibilities and duties
·Team Up: Partner with another volunteer to run an informative 3-4 hour event.
·Set the Stage: Help set up the room and create a welcoming atmosphere.
·Engage and Educate: Chat with BT customers, explaining the Digital Switch and sharing what Neighbourhood Watch is all about.
·Personal Connections: Interact with attendees one-on-one or in small groups.
·Feedback Fun: Collect feedback through surveys and learn what our community thinks.
·Share the Knowledge: Hand out information leaflets.
·Wrap It Up: Ensure everything is tidied up and attendees leave informed and happy.

Why am I needed?
We’re looking for event volunteers to assist us for our brand new event, Cancer is Everyone’s Business Dinner. This event will be held on Friday 11th October.
1 in 7 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime, but it can affect anyone - no matter your age or gender. This dinner provides an opportunity for individuals and businesses from across Wales to come together to support people affected by cancer.
Our fabulous hosts Rhodri Gomer and Lowri Morgan will help us turn the iconic Glamorgan Cricket Club pink for the evening, where entertainment, fun and fundraising will be supplied by the bucket full.
What will I be doing?
General Event Support – setting up on the day
Welcoming event attendees
Selling raffle tickets
Act as event runners when needed – doing a variety of tasks
What skills do I need?
Good organizational skills
A fun, friendly and outgoing personality
Confidence and good communication skills
Reliability, flexibility and punctuality
An enthusiasm for the work of Tenovus Cancer Care.
How much time do I need to commit?
We are looking for event volunteers to either help with set up of the event, from 2pm or event volunteers on the night, which will be from 6pm til 11pm.
What support will I be given?
You’ll be supported by the events team on the day and will be joined by other volunteers too.
