Are you passionate about helping women build their lives beyond crisis? We are recruiting for Urdu-speaking volunteers to support victims of Domestic Abuse on a 1 to 1 basis. This is a chance to empower other inspirational women by building their confidence and teaching them new Educational and employment skills in order to achieve their ambitions and goals. You will be supporting women and children to rebuild their lives free from fear!
What you will be doing
- To develop and promote a positive relationship with the service user through regular F2F meetings and phone calls, and facilitate their journey to achieve their goals that align with the aims of the Economic, Empowerment and Security Project.
- To support the service user in developing their educational and vocational aspirations, applying to university, translating previously held qualifications, helping with UCAS applications, researching relevant courses and colleges, helping with English and developing language skills OR/AND,
- To support the service user in developing their career goals and employment skills, including CV building, interviewing skills, work experience and job search. To encourage the service user to attend Economic, Empowerment and Security events ran by Hestia’s volunteering team.
- To encourage the service user to engage in further external and internal educational training and activities and supporting them in doing so.

CPRE campaigns nationally and locally for positive solutions which safeguard the long-term future of our precious countryside. At national level, the charity produces in-depth research and sound arguments to press government, Parliament and other decision-makers to support our countryside, be it national landscapes or simply much loved local green spaces, through policies which ensure:

The role
Our small but energetic team of volunteer Trustees enable people to protect the countryside they love and enjoy the benefits it brings wherever they live. But with your support we can do even more!
In joining us as a Trustee on the Board you’ll have a general role in developing the charity in line with our strategy and, together with other Trustees, ensuring compliance with Charity Commission and other legal and governance regulations. However additionally as our Lead for Supporter Development you will use your specialist knowledge to inform and guide the Trustee Board in this area and coordinate and drive forward related activities to meet agreed aims. As part of this remit, you will also oversee the recruitment of a Communications and Supporter Care Officer (a brand new role) and have ongoing responsibility for communicating organisational requirements and providing feedback to the individual once engaged.

Youth Action Alliance (YAA) is seeking a dynamic and well-connected individual to take on the role of a Philanthropic Development Lead from March 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and influential leader to drive our fundraising efforts and expand our network of high-net-worth individuals, corporate partners, trusts, and foundations.

About the Role
As a Lead, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening YAA’s donor network, leveraging your expertise, connections, and influence to help us grow our income and increase our impact. Unlike Trustees, the Philanthropic Development Lead will not hold governance responsibilities; instead, they focus solely on supporting fundraising efforts.
Your skills and expertise are what we need to continue to grow. Our volunteers are essential in supporting the growth of our charity and bringing our mission to life.
Key Responsibilities:
● Lead and energise our ‘Friends of YAA’ initiative, engaging donors and stakeholders.
● Cultivate relationships with corporate sponsors, philanthropic foundations, and high-net-worth individuals to secure funding.
● Advocate for YAA’s mission, articulating our strong return on investment and impact to potential supporters.
● Attend networking events and donor engagement opportunities.
● Provide strategic guidance on fundraising approaches, identifying opportunities for sustainable financial growth.

Main Duties & Objectives
Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Assist with the Talent Acquisition process by screening CVs, coordinating interviews, and managing the onboarding of new hires.
• Support the HR team with administrative tasks related to recruitment and employee onboarding.
• Assist in the development and implementation of human resources policies, systems, and processes.
• Undertake tasks around performance management.
• Gather and analyse data with useful HR metrics to develop effective action plans (i.e., employee turnover rates, volunteer satisfaction, retention rate per manager, etc.)
• Create strong relationships across the organisation and develop a network of contacts throughout your area and understand who the key individuals are.
• Update and maintain volunteer records when necessary.
• Provide administrative support to the Talent Acquisition team by screening CV’s and setting up interviews.
• Working with leadership teams on developing, organising, and implementing design models.
• Attend the HR General Team weekly meeting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Essential
• Previous administrative experience in Talent Acquisition
• Proven experience as an HR Generalist or HRBP and be able to demonstrate your complete understanding of the position.
• Knowledge of HR processes and HRIS systems and HR best practises.
• Able to assist on developing action plans for the implementation of new HRIS systems, policies, HR strategies, etc.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Experience in working closely with business leaders and line managers to build their people capability.
• Able to deliver a high standard of work in a timely manner, within defined processes and with minimal supervision.
• The ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
• Available to volunteer at least 7-10 hours a week
• Ability to actively take initiative and help set things up in a start-up environment.
• Ability to actively seek and give input in a collaborative team environment.
• A committed team player with good communication skills.
Desirable
• Hold a qualification related to HR.
