The Fundraising Coordinator will plan and oversee fundraising initiatives to generate financial support for Light Up Children’s projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute creative fundraising campaigns.

Organise community events, online fundraising drives, and corporate partnerships.

Engage with donors and supporters to encourage long-term giving.

Track fundraising progress and ensure compliance with charity regulations.

Work closely with the Grants Officer and Communications team to maximise fundraising efforts.
Ideal Candidate:

Passion for fundraising and charity work.

Strong communication and networking skills.

Experience in event planning, corporate sponsorships, or online fundraising (preferred but not required).

We are seeking to appoint a new Trustee to further strengthen our Board.
We are particularly interested in recruiting individuals who possess knowledge, skills, and/or experience within the public sector and wider government ecosystem. Specific areas of interest include:
· Political and administrative structures: Understanding how government bodies operate and shape public policy development.
· Public sector investment bodies: Insight into funding mechanisms and process at central, regional and devolved levels.
· Government funding policies: Knowledge of policies and priorities that guide public funding and decision making.
· Public affairs: Knowledge of the best approaches to influence public policy and decision-making processes.
· Landscape and positioning: Navigating and understanding the political environment and spotting opportunities.
· Networks: Connections to relevant teams, individuals, and decision makers.
Additionally, the successful candidate will be asked to sit on our Audit and Risk Committee. Therefore, the following knowledge, skills, and/or experience would be desirable:
· Governance, regulation and compliance: Knowledge of the rules and standards that guide charities.
· Risk management and mitigation: Identifying and addressing potential risks.
· Financial processes: Supporting financial processes and strategic financial decision making.

How flexible is the role?
The Newsletter editor will work for approximately 2 hours a week and attend on average 12 committee/planning meetings a year, plus adhoc meeting with MND Staff and volunteer group Leaders.
What sort of training/induction will I receive before starting?
You’ll be inducted into the role and informed about the Association. As part of this, you will receive e-learning, face-to-face training and mentoring. The training programme will also include experiential and reflective learning.

We’re looking for a new fundraising volunteer and/or director! Are you passionate about securing funds for grassroot organisations?
This opportunity involves overseeing Fuel Poverty Action’s fundraising plans and strategy, reaching out to donors and promoting our vital campaigns through grant bids to help end fuel poverty in the UK.
This role would require an average of 16-20 hrs per month and can be done remotely. We are also open to you joining FPA’s board of directors, subject to capacity and experience.
This offers a chance to directly contribute to tackling fuel poverty and ensuring access to affordable energy for all whilst strategizing and learning alongside great activists. If you're eager to contribute, we’d love to hear from you!
