As a volunteer Video Editor, you will help us bring our mission to life by creating interesting visual content for social media and our website that inspires and educates.

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Video Editor to join our volunteer team. In this role, you will create and edit video content that highlights our programs, showcases success stories, and supports our educational initiatives. Your work will be key in engaging our audience and amplifying our impact.

Responsibilities:

• Video Production: Edit raw footage into polished, high-quality videos for social media, campaigns, and the website.
• Creative Direction: Collaborate with the content team to develop video concepts that align with our mission and resonate with our audience.

Liluye is a global, collaborative community of trafficking survivors, allies, and workshops committed to empowering people.

Liluye focuses on helping those that are most marginalized, specifically those who have been trafficked. We focus on prevention, economic empowerment and aftercare for those who have endured trafficking.

Liluye's dedication to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), is at the heart of The Thrive Tribe program, our personal development and coaching program for survivors. We aid in trafficking survivors' personal recovery while contributing to the broader goal of economic empowerment and gender equality. Liluye empowers survivors with the support, skills, and confidence needed to pursue sustainable livelihoods and contribute positively to their communities. We personally are on a mission to create environments and collaborative efforts to help girls and women feel safe, empowered, and heard. They will be researching and creating content, graphics, and copy for Liluye´s Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram pages. They should be passionate about anti-trafficking, slavery and/or women's rights. What impact does this role have?

Our Panellists will help us to shape our services and our strategy. They will support us to make sure that people know about our charity, that our services have a positive impact on the lives of older people, and that we are a valued, local resource for older people to rely on.

What are the responsibilities of the role? 

• To support our charity and its aims and to act as an ambassador for our services and projects and the wider Age UK network.

• To ensure our charity is aware of emerging needs and issues related to older people in the City and County that could influence future planning.

• To represent the wider community of older people and their interests – including topics such as social, health, wealth, and longer-term needs.

What is the time commitment?

• Depending upon agreed actions, Panellists may be asked to dedicate some time to activities within the community, or for the charity outside of the meetings.

• Should exceptional circumstances arise, there may be a need for additional meetings, but this will be a rare occurrence.

• A chair and vice-chair will be elected by the members every 3 years and holders may serve a maximum of 6 years in total in either role.

Primary responsibilities of the Branch Trustee – Governance and Compliance

•  Take the lead on policy review, amendment and implementation and create a timetable to ensure Branch policies are reviewed at appropriate intervals.
•  Set out processes and work with senior staff and trustees to ensure policies are implemented and embedded throughout the Branch.
•  Use your experience and expertise to ensure the Branch is complying with its governing document and other regulatory requirements.

• To assist the Branch when developing new schemes, such as providing welfare assistance to those  low incomes, to ensure any new schemes are GDPR compliant.

Online Researcher

Role Description

We are seeking a research and data entry person to perform online research on resources that the company needs. We require you to do some simple web search based on various parameters and then input that information into our database or spreadsheet. Simple but important work for us.

Weekly Time Commitment

4-6 hours per week remotely

This is an exciting opportunity to pass on your human resources and employee relations expertise whilst helping the RSPCA; promote kindness and prevent animal cruelty, reach out to more supporters, and influence how we do things.

As a HR & Employee Relations expert you would be supporting the branch by helping them maintain and develop staff throughout the organisation. You would play a key role in advising Trustees on the long-term and strategic direction of human resources and contributing towards policy setting.

As a minimum, trustees would normally be expected to attend a  committee meeting every other month lasting 2 hours either in person or virtually (can alternate). However, the commitment may vary depending on whether or not the trustee takes on additional duties.

Primary responsibilities of the Branch Trustee – HR & Employee Relations

•  Advise Trustees on the long-term vision and strategic direction for investment in human resourceSupport the Branch grow, maintain, and develop staff throughout the organisation.
• Contribute to HR policy setting, strategic direction, goal and target setting, and evaluate performance against targets, budgets, plans and charitable objectives.
•  Ensure that HR activities and interventions are linked to the RSPCA Isle of Wight Branches charitable objectives and complement the company culture.
• Advise on and help improve management of HR.
•  Ensure the Board of Trustees properly remunerates staff, reviewing and rewarding performance and development opportunities.
• To work with the Branch Manager to review current HR management arrangements and provide guidance on HR strategy and short and long-term direction. 
• Receive progress reports on HR and any recurring staffing issues.

Using this expertise as well as other skills, as a Branch Trustee, you will influence how we care for and prevent cruelty to animals and drive the implementation of key initiatives.

•  Act as branch specialist to compliance animal welfare across the branch. 
•  Act as lead of animal welfare for the branch dealing with enquiries mail/phone.
•  Creation and maintenance of any branch specific animal welfare standards.
•  Ensure branch trustees are kept informed of any events of note, including requests for extraordinary expenditure or decisions as and when they happen.
• Lead and organise animal welfare branch sub-committee.
•  Provide written animal welfare report for every branch meeting.
• Maintain control of all veterinary and other animal services provided to the branch.
•  Maintain control of animal welfare vouchering schemes.
•  Creation and contribution to the animal welfare promotional materials.
•  Act as second reviewer for adoptors and fosterers.
•  Act as main contact for RSPCA Inspectors, vets, boarding facilities.
•  Creation and contributor to branch communications.
•  Compliance with Data Protection Act 2018.
•  Submission of the RSPCA Reports as required.

Main Purpose of Job: To oversee the design and delivery of social impact programs while ensuring their financial viability through fundraising and partnerships.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
 

• Lead the development of ADC’s social impact strategy, including practical tools and systems that not only track and measure impact performance, but also integrate impact analysis into strategy and decision-making
   
• Lead the development of ADC’s fundraising strategy, with a focus on developing long-term strategic public and private sector partnerships with global and regional corporates, institutions, foundations and high net worth individuals
   
• Play a role in relation to revenue generation by helping to define market relevant value propositions for consulting services based on our Theory of Change, with a goal of achieving a business model that is financially sustainable and delivers on ADC’s strategic vision for catalysing social impact
   
• Lead the creation of new social impact programs, interventions and goals that will inspire and drive the organisation to deliver social impact at scale, and ensuring that the ADC approach and Theory of Change is upheld and enhanced
   
• Lead the development of thought leadership initiatives that position ADC as an influential driver of systemic social change in Africa and leader in social impact research
   
• Play a role in creating and maintaining social impact content, and making it accessible to our Marketing & Communications team for sharing with internal and external audiences to promote ADC’s work

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Essential
 

• Minimum of 7-10+ years of relevant experience
   
• A track record of leading successful fundraising campaigns and grants applications
   
• Experience of design and delivery of social impact programs
   
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to develop long term relationships with institutional sponsors and individual major donors
   
• Familiarity with impact assessment methodologies and latest developments in the impact measurement field
   
• Ability to create powerful narratives that present social impact in a simple manner
   
• Ability to drive strategy in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team environment
   
• Demonstrated ability to create global and regional networks across the industry
   
• Ability to actively take initiative and help set things up in a start-up environment
