We have the van - we just need YOU !!!
Many people struggle to enjoy cycling, and some families often find the cost of adapted bikes mean that they cannot share fun times together.
Parkride is a fun and flexible inclusive cycling project using a range of adapted and standard bikes that provides anyone, regardless of age, ability or need, with the opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors through cycling.
We require a volunteer van driver to help us deliver our custom-made bikes and trikes to locations such as parks and community centers around the West Midlands.
What would I be doing?
· You will be a vital link between us and the families we support, helping us to get the team and bikes to where they’re needed for arranged sessions.
· You’ll be the friendly face of Parkride, interacting with the families and ensuring the bikes are kept safe and secure whilst the team are out riding.
· Working with staff to load/unload the van before and after sessions.
What do I need?
· Minimum age 25
· Experience of driving a large van with a suitable driving licence
· A full and clean driving licence (held for a minimum of 5 years)
· Some lifting will be required and so a basic level of fitness is needed.
· Being approachable and friendly with good communication skills
· Accepting of others who might be different to you and the ability to work as part of a diverse team
· A willingness to learn and work within guidelines set out by Midland Mencap
· Honesty, integrity and trustworthy
· Good time management skills, reliability
· An enhanced DBS check will be required by all successful applicants.
When and where do you need me?
· The van is based at our head office in Woodgate Valley – B32 3BZ.
· We have several parkride sessions running throughout the week including evenings and weekends. Sessions vary from 2-4 hours (plus travel).
· We run sessions throughout the Midlands, including Birmingham (all areas), Dudley, Sandwell, Coventry, and Sutton Coldfield. You can choose which sessions you wish to attend.
· All sessions are weather dependent; however, we only cancel sessions in extreme weather. We would advise having a warm waterproof coat and suitable shoes.

Rape Crisis South London (RASASC) works in partnership with Rape Crisis England and Wales on the 24/7 Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Line. Support line volunteers provide telephone support, information and signposting to survivors of sexual violence aged 16+ across the country. We are open 24 hours a day. Shifts are 3 hours long and volunteers can choose which shift to sign up to, to fit in around any other commitments. We provide all our volunteers with an accredited training course from the Open College Network. For this next round of training we are actively recruiting women who are available to attend training during week days. All our training is online, and you can volunteer from home providing that you have a private quiet space to take calls in. The post is open to female applicants only as the role is deemed to be a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

Art History Link-Up is looking for a new Secretary Trustee to join the Board.
Our small Board currently comprises ten dedicated individuals, between them holding broad experience across several sectors and disciplines.
We are seeking to boost particular skills on the Board and are particularly keen to appoint a candidate with the skills below:
Secretary
- An individual with a legal background, or with sound knowledge of the area who can take the lead on compliance issues relating to constitutional, legal, regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Excellent organisational skills
The Board of Trustees has responsibility for:
- Providing strategic oversight and leadership, ensuring that Art History Link-Up pursues its stated objectives.
- Ensuring effective and efficient administration of the charity, including approving the budget, defining goals and targets, evaluating performance, and taking appropriate action to manage risk.
- Taking a limited but hands-on role to support the delivery of certain elements of the charity’s work (e.g. marketing, accounting, recruitment).
- Ensure resources are used effectively to ensure the overall financial sustainability of the charity in future years.
- Contributing to and safeguarding the reputation and values of the charity and our partners, being an excellent advocate for Art History Link-Up and the young people we work with.
- Supporting our employees, freelancers and volunteers to help them contribute positively and professionally to the development of the Charity and its programme.
- Ensuring that Art History Link-Up operates in accordance with the principles of good governance, complying with its Articles of Association, its safeguarding and recruitment policies, charity law, and any other relevant legislation or regulations.
Successful candidates will be strong team players with a range of professional skills and personal qualities. You should share our determination to make the study and enjoyment of art history accessible to as many young people as possible.
