The Dementia Wellbeing Service provides practical and emotional support to help older people live independently and safely at home for as long as possible, stay socially engaged and carry on doing what they love. The service supports Camden residents over the age of 55 in the early or moderate stages of dementia.
You will work one-to-one with people in their own home and in the community, providing invaluable practical and emotional support and engaging the person in activities and opportunities that interest them through their wellbeing plan.

Our organised music and dance groups give people with additional needs the chance to make friends, enjoy social time together and try out a variety of activities. These fun and friendly groups also help to improve physical health and mental wellbeing.
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers for our amazing music, drama and dance groups in Weoley Castle. You will be encouraging our citizens to take part and ensure everyone has a great time.
You DON'T need to be a good singer or a great mover - just a friendly person :-)
What would I be doing?
Helping people to take part in various activities, including singing, dancing, creative music sessions and drama.
Encouraging people to feel part of the group and take part in the activities.
Helping to set up equipment and tidy away at the end of the session.
Helping to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
What do I need?
· An interest in helping people, being approachable and friendly
· Any performance skills or interests would be amazing, but not essential.
· Good communication skills
· Accepting of others who might be different to you
· The ability to work as part of a diverse team
· A willingness to learn and work within guidelines set out by Midland Mencap
· Honesty, integrity and trustworthy
· Good time management skills, reliability
· An enhanced DBS check will be required by all successful applicants.

We are looking for course marsahlls to support Acorns Children's Hospice runners at the Lower Broadhealth Trail Run, Worcestershire
At Acorns we provide care and support for life limited or life threatened children and their families. We are a charity, and our fundraising is vital to enable us to continue providing care and support to the children: it costs around £10 million a year to run our care services.
Being a Fundraising Volunteer is an exciting and varied role that helps us to raise money for the children and family we care for. There are opportunities to help at events - from marathons to our Fire and Ice walk, to Christmas markets. You could help with a tombola or raffle, set up and pack away, or simply cheer on participants. You could also stand in a location with a charity collection bucket, collecting change as people pass by or approach businesses to place a charity tin. You will join the board of a credible and high-performing charity which delivers hospice care for seriously ill children across Scotland.
About CHAS
CHAS provides unwavering care to children who may die young, and their families, at every step on this hardest of journeys. We believe that no-one should face the death of their child alone. Our teams in our hospices (Rachel and Robin House), in children's homes in every part of Scotland, and in NHS hospitals. We work closely with Scottish Government, NHS boards and local authorities to provide seamless care for children and their families.
We have published a new strategic plan for 2024-28 which includes developing new ways of delivering care and major capital investment in our estate.
About you
We are looking for people with a passion for our purpose and with the skills, enthusiasm and drive to help us use our resources in the most effective way to deliver impact for children and families.
You will be operating in a senior role in the NHS, public sector, private sector, or another large charity. As a trustee of the charity, you will have significant impact, providing non-executive support to our exceptional executive team. You will join one of the Board's committees, either focusing on finance or capital project planning.
The opportunity
You will work closely with our Chief Executive to set the strategy for CHAS across revenue expenditure of about £22m, with 400 staff and 800 volunteers working across three owned and nine leased properties. Your strategic thinking and senior experience will have direct impact for children and families.
As a charity, all trustee roles are voluntary positions.

Every year hundreds of people run, abseil, skydive and eat cake, to raise funds to help Rainbows care for babies, children, young people and their families across the East Midlands. Behind them are a team of dedicated Event Volunteers who are vital in ensuring our events run smoothly.
From local concerts and golf days, to daring abseils and firewalks our events are vital in helping to raise not only funds, but awareness of the work Rainbows Hospice does across the East Midlands and they simply wouldn’t be possible without our enthusiastic volunteers helping on the day. Volunteer with us!
At Acorns we provide care and support for life limited or life threatened children and their families. We are a charity, so most of the care that we provide is funded through fundraising and through our shops.
To help us to continue to provide the care that we do, we are looking for fun and enthusiastic volunteers to join us in our Bromsgrove shop. Our shops are exciting and dynamic, with no two days being the same. From our walk-in customers, to receiving donations, and everything in between
As a Shop Volunteer with us, you will be:
- Engaging with customers
- Accepting and sorting donated stock
- Pricing donations for sale
- Working on the till
Our shops are open Monday to Saturday (some open on Sundays too) 9am to 5pm. You can volunteer the hours that suit you, but it would be great if you could support in the shop for at least 3 hours a week.
