POSITION SUMMARY:
The Capital Campaign Manager will coordinate all aspects of a joint fundraising campaign to create the Stand Up for Gaza project and campaign to launch mid Q3 2024. The culmination of this collaborative project will result in many outcomes, namely the distribution of hygiene H.E.R. Kits to the women and girls of Palestine most affected by the ongoing Israeli war. The Stand Up for Gaza project will provide a platform where experts, artists and the general public will come together for the purpose of educating the public and creating thoughtful conversations about the ongoing distress experienced by women and girls in Palestine since the beginning of the Israeli war, as well as implement distribution of HER Kits.
Performed remotely, this role is considered temporary through December 2024. Contract employment will be considered for the right candidate at a negotiable rate.
DUTIES:
- Overall campaign management and organisation including pipelines, prospect tracking, strategy, task assignment and maintenance of timelines;
- Researching and identifying prospects;
- Scheduling meetings, preparing talking points, assembling presentations, and full meeting prep for partners, campaign volunteers and IWI staff;
- Overseeing acknowledgement of all campaign gifts and pledges and preparation of pledge payment reminders and pledge agreements;
- Writing all campaign correspondence including solicitation proposals, meeting requests, and meeting follow up;
- Maintaining master campaign calendar to maximise cultivation events and keep campaign committee on track;
- Organising and monitoring volunteer assignments and follow-up, and assisting in all aspects of volunteer-led events.
JOB SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- Strong organisational skills and project management experience;
- Excellent written and verbal communication;
- Interest in women’s human rights, advocacy and INGO/NGO fundraising;
- Team oriented and able to work independently;
- Diplomatic and confident; able to maintain good relationships with donors while enforcing expectations and requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
IWI seeks a seasoned, responsible, focused individual, with outstanding organisational skills and high level of accuracy. Experience in, and knowledge of fundraising, specifically capital campaigns, is required. The successful candidate will be highly organised, self-motivated, detail-oriented, creative, strategic, professional and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. Excellent writing, analytical, and research skills are essential. Candidates must have a high level of computer literacy, including experience using online databases and other sources to locate financial and philanthropic information, and possess exceptional interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff, volunteers, donors, and prospective donors. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in event planning, project management, fundraising, communications, marketing, or similar functions, preferably in a non-profit setting.

Pranic Evolutions
We are addressing unequal access to alternative healthcare with a focus on energy healing.
Pranic Evolution is a small but growing team whose aim is to provide practical, video-based lessons to empower all those who have the desire to do so to become effective energy healers.
There is a growing body of evidence (both scientific and anecdotal, experiential) showing the effectiveness of various energy healing modalities such as Pranic Healing and Reiki in easing (and often even completely alleviating) the suffering caused by a number of physical, mental and emotional ailments. Master Choa Kok Sui, the founder of Pranic Healing, imagined a world with one energy healer in every household, irrespective of their culture or socioeconomic status, and we want to do whatever we can to assist in this noble mission.
The beauty of energy healing is that no special ability, material or tool is required for it to be carried out effectively, other than knowledge and dedicated practice of the techniques, a clear mind, a sincere will and a compassionate heart open to helping and serving others. We know that there are millions of kind, loving, caring individuals around the world who could become excellent energy healers but have not so far had the opportunity to explore this avenue because of limited awareness of its potential, and also the time and cost incurred in attending courses.
Our intention is to share all that we have learned about energy healing with anyone who might find it of help or interest. We see this as both our duty and our privilege. We plan to do this predominantly through a series of free of charge, freely accessible, ad-free video tutorials run through YouTube, which we hope to translate into as many languages as possible in order to reach as wide an audience as possible. We will not ever charge or profit in any way from our work or from the video or social media channels we create. Our work is funded entirely by private contribution, and we do not even have a bank account.

Events and Campaigns at LAFF are seen as a way of engaging and increasing our supporter network. This is a dynamic role which will see you work with the Fundraising and Communications teams to recognise that support is far greater than just financial donations: we put a great value on our community’s time, communication with their personal networks, skills and ideas.
You will take on the responsibility of being a central point of contact for LAFF’s supporters when organizing their own fundraising events, as well as developing and delivering innovative events and campaigns for LAFF.
Your ability to think creatively to create disruptive communications strategies which will engage individuals and convert them into supporters will be crucial, as well as your research skills to help find new opportunities to hold events and campaigns.
Objectives of this Role

Identify, plan and host fundraising events online and in person

Take primary responsibility for all planning, logistics and arrangements of LAFF’s ongoing events and campaigns.

Act as a central point of contact and support for LAFF community members organizing their own events and develop resources for members to use

Purpose of the role
Citizens Advice Barnet’s twin aims are to help people in our community resolve the problems they face and campaign to change the policies and practices which affect their lives. What will you be doing?
As our current Chair must step down at the end of 2024, we are seeking a Chair elect to join the board no later than the end of the first quarter of 2024. This will allow shadowing of the current Chair to ensure a smooth transition, by maintaining continuity and facilitating a seamless handover of leadership.
As the Chair of My Death, My Decision, you will play a pivotal role in leading our organisation to further our campaign goals. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about the cause either from personal experience or from professional engagement with those making end of life choices.
You will be a seasoned leader with a proven track record of strategic thinking and decision-making, whether in the context of a campaign, a charity or a not-for-profit company. Your leadership should inspire and guide our team towards achieving our mission, making a tangible impact.

Key Responsibilities
- Governance: Oversee the governance of My Death, My Decision, including chairing board meetings and member meetings, ensuring effective decision-making processes and working closely with the Director of Finance.
- Leadership and Coordination: Provide strong leadership by chairing events, onboarding new board members, and coordinating our membership at the ‘World Federation of Right to Die Societies’.
- Spokesperson: Act as the primary spokesperson for My Death, My Decision, responding to media requests and inquiries, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of the campaign and its objectives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a key point of contact with our patrons, benefactors, and key supporters, nurturing relationships and promoting our mission.
- Miscellaneous: This role will require the successful candidate to ensure the smooth running of the organisation, both internally and in its external presentation. This will include occasional tasks outside of the realm of the job description.

You will be a good fit for this role if you have:
- Commitment & Enthusiasm: A strong passion for changing the law on assisted dying and a commitment to our campaign goal. The ability to inspire and engage others.
- Knowledge on assisted dying: As the role of chair will require much external engagement with relevant stakeholders and the media, in-depth understanding of the subject matter is essential. We are however willing to consider candidates who have a broad understanding but need time to become familiar with the details of the campaign during the Chair elect transition referred to above.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic thinking skills to develop and execute a campaign strategy in collaboration with other board members and small team of MDMD staff.
- Governance skills: Previous experience around not for profit governance.
- Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to act as a spokesperson for the organisation, in particular towards bodies such as the Houses of Parliament, medical associations, the media etc.

As a Fundraising Volunteer – Campaigns & Events at The Mulberry Centre, you will play a vital role in supporting our fundraising campaigns, events and initiatives aimed at providing essential services to individuals affected by cancer. You will work closely with our Supporter Engagement Lead and our Fundraising & Engagement Team to assist hands on with our in-house fundraising efforts and provide support to individuals undertaking challenges and events on behalf of The Mulberry Centre, seeing defined projects through from start to finish.
Time Commitment – A regular commitment of 2 days a week (Majority of which would be office based) for a minimum of 6 months or longer term.
Main Duties
To work within an agreed brief with the support of the Supporter Engagement Lead on the following:
· Fundraising Campaign Support: Assisting with the planning, execution and evaluation of fundraising campaigns, including online and offline initiatives.
· Event Support: Helping to organise and facilitate fundraising events, ensuring smooth execution and maximum engagement from participants and supporters.
· Individual Support: Helping the Supporter Engagement Lead provide guidance and encouragement to individuals undertaking challenges and events in support of The Mulberry Centre, offering assistance in fundraising strategies and goal setting using the fundraising pack.
· Marketing and Advertising: Utilising transferable skills in marketing and advertising to promote fundraising campaigns and events, both online and offline, to maximize reach and participation.
· Community Engagement: Researching and engaging with the local community, small businesses, and organisations to foster partnerships and support for fundraising efforts.
· Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of fundraising activities, donations, and participant information, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
· Correspondence: Drafting accurate, well-structured emails, letters and reports with agreed key messages and information.
· Any other duties appropriate for the role and adhering to The Mulberry Centre’s policies.
Volunteer Skills Specification:
· Ability to gain and share knowledge of what The Mulberry Centre offers to people affected by cancer and inspire others to support us.
· Passion for supporting individuals affected by cancer and commitment to The Mulberry Centre's mission.
· Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
· Previous experience of running fundraising campaigns/events or experience of marketing, advertising, or charity work, with the ability to apply transferable skills to fundraising initiatives, is desirable.
· Strong admin, IT, organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
· Confident and able to work on one’s own initiative but within an agreed brief as part of a team.
· Reliable and dependable, with a willingness to commit to a minimum of 6 months volunteering 2 days per week with The Mulberry Centre.

Following the success of the first-ever Council Climate Action Scorecards last year, Climate Emergency UK is looking to create the second edition of the Action Scorecards. Analysing council climate action only becomes valuable if you track the progress that has been made. We need your help to create the 2025 Action Scorecards and score councils on their actual climate action.
There are two cohorts: August-September 2024 (Cohort 1) and late September-October 2024 (Cohort 2)
Why are we doing this?
We’re in a climate crisis, and local councils have the power and influence over around 30% of emissions in their local area. Councils are uniquely placed to make a real impact on emissions within their area. But we know that councils can be taking more effective action as the average score in the 2023 Action Scorecards was only 32%. The Scorecards are a campaigning tool that residents can use to hold their council to account on their climate action, and lobby for specific, targeted change. We have also found evidence of 1 in 5 councils using and referencing the Scorecards in committee meetings, reports or in their own press releases and organisations across the sector are utilising the data from the Scorecards as well. Finally, this UK wide assessment will demonstrate where the UK and devolved governments need to provide more support to local authorities in order for them to take even further action.
How can you help?
We need at least 200 volunteers to pull this project off! You can help by volunteering to score councils on each of the 7 sections of our Action Scorecards. This year volunteers will be marking specific sections for councils (e.g. marking only all the Transport questions for the councils you are marking). You will score councils in your particular section by researching publicly available information on councils’ websites and relevant strategies. Training and guides will be made available to you to help in the process.
Scoring one council on one section will take approx. 2 hrs (though the more you do, the quicker you will be). It’s best if you are able to work from a laptop or a computer with good internet, as you will need to be able to access council websites and our online scoring system.
We’d like you to mark at least 10 councils on one of the seven sections over a period of 4 weeks. This equates to a total of 20 hours of volunteering over 4 weeks, roughly 5 hours a week, but this can be done at your own pace.
What experience do I need?
We will provide training so you don’t need any experience. If you have previous experience of working in or campaigning at a local council level that is a bonus, but not needed to apply.
What will I gain?
This is a great opportunity to understand how local councils work, as well as understanding local government policy on Climate Action. This is a good chance to improve your research and analytical skills too. By helping with this project you will be making a real contribution to the fight against the climate crisis.
What we need from you:

- Scorecards Volunteer Inductions: You will need to attend one induction session on either Tuesday 6th or Thursday 8th August 2024 from 5:30 to 6:30pm.
- Scorecards Scoring Training: You will only need to attend only one of the training sessions but please keep both of the evenings free until you are allocated a Scorecards section, which will determine which session you need to attend: either Tuesday 13th or Thursday 15th August. You will need to be available from 5:30-7pm.
The commitment to 20 hours of volunteering, over a 4 week period, at your own pace.
Note: We will not accept current Councillors or Officers (Parish/Town councillors or staff are free to apply).
How it works
- You will receive training on how the scoring system works.
- You will be assigned 10 or more councils to score depending on your availability.
- You will be supported through online communication with other volunteers across the country.
- You will be supported on Slack so at any point you will be able to ask questions of CE UK staff and other volunteers.
- You will score those sections via our online scoring system. What you mark will be audited to ensure the system is fair and accurate.

Cohort 2 - Late September-October 2024
Our workshops, alongside the practical experience of assessing local climate action, are designed to help you develop your knowledge, skills and experience around local climate policy and action. Your assessments will help create the 2025 Council Climate Action Scorecards - helping your community and other people around the UK understand how well councils are tackling the climate crisis, the progress that has been made, who’s doing well and what is possible. During the programme you will be part of a cohort of people (maximum 50) who share your passion for environmental justice and local action.
The Training Programme will help you understand:
- The powers local authorities have to tackle the climate crisis.
- The actions local authorities are taking to tackle the climate crisis.
- What good council climate action looks like.
We will also have workshops from educational, policy and campaigning experts to give you a strong foundation in local climate action. Last year this included speakers from the Climate Change Committee, Lancaster City Council and Friends of the Earth. Those on the training programme will be able to manage their time but must be able to make the mandatory dates, listed below. Both cohorts will be 4 weeks and have the exact same programme of events. While these will be part of the training it will be up to you to make the session, although some of these sessions will be recorded. A full schedule will be sent out 1 week before the training starts.
Programme Dates
We are running two cohorts of the training programme: The First Cohort is deadline has passed. The Second Cohort will run from late 17th September to 22nd October 2024.
You will need to be free for the following mandatory dates:
- Scorecards Volunteer Inductions: You will need to attend one induction session on either Tuesday 17th or Thursday 19th September 2024 from 5:30 to 6:30pm.
- Scorecards Scoring Training: You will only need to attend only one of the training sessions but please keep both of the evenings free until you are allocated a Scorecards section, which will determine which session you need to attend: either Tuesday 24th or Thursday 26th September. You will need to be available from 5:30-7pm.
- Policy Programme Course sessions will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1st - 22nd October for about 1 hour 30 minutes between 4-7pm (times vary a tiny bit each week)
- Final Handover & Certificate Ceremony Tuesday 22nd October, 5:30-6:30pm
The Second Cohort will run from late September to mid-October 2024. If you are interested in joining the second cohort you can already do so.
Who is this Programme for? In order to apply you must be:
- Aged over 18
- Able to commit to approx. 15-20 hours a week for four weeks
- Based anywhere in the UK
- Have reliable internet access and access to a computer
- You do not need to have previous environmental related experience or a relevant degree.

Other than that, anyone can apply to be on this programme. We are particularly looking for people who:
- Are passionate about tackling climate change and sustainability
- Have an interest in supporting climate action in their local communities
- Are interested in a career in environmental policy or advocacy (or just enjoy this as a hobby!)
- Able to use Google Docs and SLACK. Although you will receive training in both.
Each cohort will be limited to 50 places and we expect to fill the programme. Your acceptance onto the programme will be confirmed once you have attended the Group Interview.
