Main purpose of role:
To support the Fundraising Manager with all aspects of fundraising, with a particular focus on donor stewardship, and small grants/trusts/community fundraising.
The role will be hands on and has the potential for you to learn and develop a variety of fundraising skills.
Responsibilities and key tasks:
• To research and draft applications to small grants and trust.
• Proactively use the fundraising database to develop and manage supporters and ensure all activities are recorded accurately and in line with GDPR
• To assist the Fundraising Manager/Treasurer with the reconciliation of our income and financial processes.
• To assist the Fundraising Manager with the planning and collation of the annual and biannual major funders monitoring reports requests.
• General fundraising/administration duties, as and when required
• This role is expected to meet the minimum financial target per year.
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
Essential
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently and a strong team player. Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with a diverse range of people. Ability to deal with information in a confidential manner. Highly organised with ability to prioritise a varied and demanding workload. Confident IT skills including Microsoft Office. Desirable. Project management skills. Experience working in a voluntary sector preferrable but not essential.

What your role will involve
There are a variety of tasks that you can get involved with in the shop, including:
- Welcoming and assisting customers, providing great customer service and a fantastic shopping experience
- Receiving donated goods from members of the public
- Sorting, steaming, tagging and preparing donated goods for sale
- Creating eye catching window and in-shop displays
- Keeping the shop floor well stocked, tidy, clean and organised
- Processing sales and serving on the till
- Promoting Gift Aid and other Sense fundraising initiatives
- Acting as an ambassador for Sense; promoting the shop and Sense in your local community
- Supporting with the recruitment and training of new volunteers
- Following new health and safety measures to ensure the safety of everyone

You will be part of our team at a Challenge Event e.g. London Marathon and located on the race route. You will be responsible for cheering on and supporting our runners, cyclists or walkers, encouraging them to keep going.
Cheering at events is lots of fun as your part of the whole positive energy and event experience. It helps to lift the spirit of our participants so that they cross the finish line and feel valued for their efforts. Your time will make a huge impact in our participant’s challenge, and you’ll have a nice time while doing it.
What we are looking for
As a Young Epilepsy Volunteer Events Cheer Leader, you will need to have:
· Lots of enthusiasm.
· The ability to help make sure Young Epilepsy is the best cheer squad at the race.
· Good interpersonal skills: you will be talking to some of our incredible supporters’ friends and family as well as the Young Epilepsy team.
· Endurance as the days can be quite long, and we have no control over the weather. It can be cold and wet or extremely hot – this is the UK!

What Support will I Get
Young Epilepsy will give you everything you need to cheer on our lovely participants. Whistles, bangers and even a free Young Epilepsy T-Shirt. The team will brief you on the runners before the event, so you know who you are cheering for.
Where are the events.
We have events in Brighton, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Sussex, Scotland. You don’t need to be able to travel to all these areas. Just let us know when you apply which areas would be better suites to you.
How long would I be required at the event.
It depends on the event; a normal event day starts at 9am and ends by 3pm. This is subject to change depending on the event and we are flexible, let us know the times you are available, and we will try to make it work for you.

Your content will help drive traffic to our website, improve our SEO ranking, and foster a strong connection with our audience.
Responsibilities: Content Creation: Research and write compelling blog posts on topics related to health, sustainability, nutrition, and fruit-based products. SEO Optimization: Develop SEO-friendly content to increase organic traffic and improve search engine rankings. Editorial Calendar: Develop and maintain an editorial calendar to ensure consistent and timely publication of blog content. Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and social media teams to align blog content with overall marketing strategies and campaigns. As an HR volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in recruitment, building the team and ensuring volunteers feel valued and can develop in their roles. You’ll help us to achieve our vision by attracting new volunteers to meet skills gaps and make us a more resilient and effective organisation. Helping shape the organisational culture and helping to ensure CPRE London is a great place to volunteer and work is also a vital part of this role.
Who are we?
At CPRE London we campaign to save and promote green spaces in Greater London and make London a better, greener and healthier place for everyone to live in, work in and enjoy.
We are part of the national network of CPRE, the countryside charity.
What will you be doing?
Helping build the team – helping us track down talented people who bring key skills to the team
- Recruitment - vacancy promotion and administration - helping us track down talented people who bring key skills to strengthen our teams
- Using our Assemble platform, administer staff onboarding and offboarding processes
- Creating a positive environment and recognising volunteers for their contribution – so people want to stay involved
- Work with the HR team on surveys and addressing survey outcomes
- Optional: policy reviews in any areas of expertise
Additionally:
- Also supporting staff in relation to encouraging them to access training and shaping a positive culture within the organisation
- Helping to coordinate the work of the volunteer team – especially in relation to supporting events such as nature walks and hands-on planting or environmental improvement work
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with HR knowledge and ideally, someone with experience in either being a volunteer or supporting other volunteers.
- An interest in the countryside and environmental issues
- Previous experience of being a volunteer or supporting volunteers
- A friendly personality and an ability to relate to people from different backgrounds
- Good organisational skills and confidence in the use of online systems
- Self-starter, happy carrying out tasks independently or as part of a team
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Access to a computer and the internet at home and be confident using them
- Be able to commit to volunteering regularly to suit your availability with occasional attendance at meetings

Job Purpose
One Place London is a community interest company located in West London engaged in Acting for Film and Music Recording workshops for young people aged 14-25, unemployed or at risk of getting involved in crime. We are looking for an experienced HR Officer to join the team. The primary purpose of this role is to support the Managing Director facilitate the smooth running of our human resources function, including onboarding new employees, managing the HR systems and assisting with some aspects of payroll and employee benefits.
Whilst specific legal training is not required, solid HR legal knowledge will be advantageous.
This role would suit someone keen to develop their functional expertise in HR and gain exposure to the breadth of operational functions
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- recruiting new staff
- making sure that staff get paid correctly and on time
- managing pensions and benefits administration
- approving job descriptions and advertisements
- looking after the health, safety and welfare of all employees
- organising staff training
- monitoring staff performance and attendance
- advising line managers and other employees on employment law and the employer's own employment policies and procedures
- ensuring candidates have the right to work at the organisation
- advising on disciplinary and employee performance problems
- negotiating salaries, contracts, working conditions and redundancy packages with staff and trade union representatives.
Person Specification & Key Competencies
Qualifications and Experience:
· Proven track record in a generalist HR role, no formal qualifications required
Essential Experience
• Experience working in the human resources function of a growing charitable
organisation necessary but not essential.
• Experience in building relationships internally and externally.
• Experience in coordinating targeted recruitment and selection campaigns aligned with
organisational objectives.
Passion for life-long learning and dedication to employee health and wellbeing.
• Energy, enthusiasm and ability to manage a diverse workload.

• Ability to work flexibly, according to role and service requirements.

- Sorting, steaming, tagging and preparing donated goods for sale
- Creating eye catching window and in-shop displays
- Keeping the shop floor well stocked, tidy, clean and organised
- Processing sales and serving on the till
- Promoting Gift Aid and other Sense fundraising initiatives
- Acting as an ambassador for Sense; promoting the shop and Sense in your local community
- Supporting with the recruitment and training of new volunteers
- Following new health and safety measures to ensure the safety of everyone
