A bit about the role

As a charity we can continue to help cats and kittens in need thanks to the donations we receive at fundraising events from generous members of the public. Our Fundraising Event Helpers have the exciting and varied role of helping at local fundraising events - such as cakes sales, barn dances, quiz nights – and everything in between!

What can you expect to be doing

● Help set up and/or man stalls at events

● Help on collection days like supermarket collections events or street collections

● Help at fundraising events such as Quiz nights, cake sales and dances

● Promoting a professional image of Cats Protection at events

You’ll meet new people, make new friends and be part of a dedicated team of volunteers. By being the link between members of the public and Cats Protection, the money you collect will make a significant contribution to improving the lives of cats and kittens

Time expectation

However much time you can give, your contribution will help raise much needed funds to continue the work of Cats Protection.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify, cultivate and solicit high-net-worth individuals, foundations and corporations capable of making significant financial contributions
• Work closely with the Head of Fundraising on developing and executing personalized engagement strategies to secure major gifts and build long-term relationships with major donors, including high-net-worth individuals, corporations and foundations
• Design, implement and manage comprehensive fundraising campaigns, including annual giving, corporate sponorships, email appeal and crowdfunding among other initiatives to meet targets in alignment with ADC’s fundraising strategy
• Coordinate with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of fundraising targets
• Coordinate with ADC’s marketing team to ensure consistency in messaging and branding as well as to ensure effective usage of fundraising platforms and digital tools to maximize campaign reach and visibility
• Report regularly to the Head of Fundraising on campaign progress, achievements and challenges against relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Oversee the stewardship and acknowledgement of major donors to ensure ongoing engagement and support
• Undertake responsibility for carrying out other relevant tasks as required 

Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Expertise

Essential
 

• Graduate/ Post graduate degree in social sciences, development studies, business management or equivalent

• At least 5-7 years of relevant experience in fundraising in a development context (preferably in Africa)
• Proven track record in designing, managing and executing successful fundraising campaigns and in closing gifts in a 5-6 figure range
• Good knowledge of the giving cycle and donor cultivation strategies

• Excellent interpersonal, networking and time management skills and the ability to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
• Strategic thinking with the ability to coordinate with departments, organize and prioritize workload and adhere to deadlines 

• Ability to actively take initiative and help set things up in a start-up environment
• Ability to actively seek and give input in a collaborative team environment  

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team

• A committed team player with outstanding communication skills  
• Available to volunteer at least 7-10 hours a week

Desirable

• Experience working in an early stage start-up and gone through a scaling phase
• Passion for the start-up life and comfortable in a role with a little ambiguity

·Experience in closing major gifts in the non-profit sector in Kenya

2025 is a pivotal time for our small, family centred Charity as we move into our 22nd year. This year our Board will be defining our new mission and preparing for implementation. The Muscle Help Foundation (MHF) is a small multi-award winning, family-centred charity, delivering both in-person and virtual interventions and experiences in the UK - these moments-in-time are called Muscle Dreams, designed specifically for children & young people (8-28yrs) with the muscle wasting disease, Muscular Dystrophy (MD).

MHF’s impact is felt by beneficiaries and their families across the UK – from improved confidence, greater self-esteem, and an increased sense of hopefulness to a powerful shared identity that connects families, giving a platform to share knowledge, memories and establish lasting friendships.

We are looking for Trustees who have a passion to take the charity forward, to grow impact, to leave a personal legacy and to feel the sense of personal fulfilment from the time they volunteer.

REQUIREMENTS + KEY CRITERIA

Commitment to the charity’s values, bags of enthusiasm, an understanding and passion for our work, great comms skills and a real desire to want to make a difference to the lives of our vulnerable community. You may have experience of living with muscular dystrophy, other disabilities or life limiting conditions, but this is not essential.

MAIN BOARD MEETINGS + EXPENSES

Trustee Board meetings take place virtually. They are usually 2hrs. Over and above this time commitment, trustees on average, depending on their role, may give additional time in being directly involved in occasional ad projects – MHF Trustees ‘own’ a ‘bucket’, in other words, an area of responsibility like HR, Fundraising, Safeguarding, Marketing, Finance, Digital, Risk or Campaign Management that allows an individual to bring their skills, experience and talents to the charity. Reasonable expenses will be covered.

Volunteer Position: Ambassador.
Location: Remote.
Reports to: Social Media Manager / Fundraising Manager / Region-specific Volunteer Coordinator.

Position Summary:
As an Ambassador for ROLDA, you will be the digital voice of our mission, supporting ROLDA’s online fundraising efforts and amplifying our cause across social media and online platforms. This role is perfect for someone passionate about animal welfare and skilled in digital communication who can help us engage supporters, increase donations, and broaden ROLDA’s online presence.

Job Purpose

One Place London is a community interest company located in West London engaged in Acting for Film and Music Recording workshops for young people aged 14-25, unemployed or at risk of getting involved in crime. The Social Media Executive will be instrumental in driving the digital presence of our client’s brand. Your primary focus will be on developing engaging content that effectively communicates the uniqueness of our projects, films and music and collaborating with influencers and brand ambassadors to enhance visibility and influence in the market.
