As a Front Desk Volunteer, you will be the welcoming face of Historic Croydon Airport, responsible for ensuring visitors have a smooth and enjoyable experience. You will manage visitor check-ins, handle donations, and support merchandising activities.

Your role would be to run the meetings – greeting new and existing members, ensuring that the meetings run smoothly and everyone feels welcome, included and is having fun.
You would be asked to:
• Work with NWR staff to identify which town/city to base your group in
• Consider the types of women who would be interested in your group. What would suit them in terms of the time, location and format of the meetings? How should we communicate to them about the new group? Our staff will be able to provide guidance using their wealth of experience in setting up and running groups.
• Schedule meetings and identify and arrange a suitable venue.
• Run the meetings, ensuring that everyone is made to feel welcome and has an opportunity to contribute if they want to. Promote the benefits of NWR membership.
We will:
• Offer you ideas and advice in all areas of running the meetings and managing the group.
• Write and launch a social media and marketing campaign to recruit members for your group.
• Respond to enquiries and maintain lists of those interested in attending.
The amount of time spent will vary from week to week. It is estimated that it will require 2 hours a month. The hours are flexible and can fit in with your existing commitments.
This opportunity is open to women living in the UK over the age of 18 who are able to travel to the meetings in the evening.
Travel expenses will not be reimbursed.
You will be provided with full training and support from NWR staff and will be part of a friendly and supportive network of volunteers from across the country.

Job Purpose
One Place London is located in West London and is a community interest company engaged in Acting for Film and Music Recording workshops for young people aged 14-25, unemployed or at risk of getting involved in crime. As a key member of the Engagement Team working at Cedars Youth & Community Centre, Chicheley Road, HA3 6QH, this post will work alongside the Sound Engineer to deliver music recording workshops for young people aged 14-18..
Main Duties & Responsibilities
• At all times work within the One Place London.
• Develop, promote and deliver engaging and relevant social activities and programmes on a daily basis to young people.
• Support, mentor, coach and ‘walk alongside’ individuals in their pursuit of independence and community cohesion.
• Undertake risk assessments and support planning interviews with new residents.
• Develop community minded support and activities that involve the wider community.
• Engage third parties to deliver support and activities to young people.
• To act as an advocate for young people and to engage partner agencies and services appropriate to the young people’s needs.
• Actively encourage job search, training, and volunteering opportunities with young people who are not in education, employment, or training.
• Facilitate the booking and delivery of community-based programmes.
• Assist with the interviewing and selection of those applying for accommodation.
• Undertake risk assessments and support planning with young people.
• Act in the interests of your own safety & the safety of others at all times.
• Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene, timekeeping, cleanliness and neatness.
• Undertake training and professional development.
• Anything else reasonably requested by the management of the CIC.
Person Specification & Key Competencies
Qualifications and Experience:
• Demonstrable experience of programme delivery in youth, adult or community-based service
• An ability and willingness to relate positively to young people, visitors and staff
• An outgoing and friendly personality, able to communicate well and engage a wide range of people
• Ability to react positively and effectively when faced with unwanted high-risk behaviours from young people, whether targeted towards themselves, staff, visitors or other young people.
• An understanding of safeguarding principles and procedures
• An understanding of the issues facing young people
• An understanding of equality and diversity matters.
Personal Attributes
• A genuine enthusiasm for the work of the CIC.
• An outgoing and friendly personality, able to communicate well and engage positively with a wide range of people including with young people, visitors and staff.
