Job Description
We’re looking for an ambitious, visionary and motivated Managing Director to work directly alongside our CEO to help us rapidly grow Go Inspire International C.I.C.. This will be a very fast paced role with lots of variety and will involve:

Being a point of contact for our marketing and events staff

Ensuring all activities are inline with our top level goals and objectives, values and purpose

Working alongside the leadership team to develop and implement organisational goals and objectives in line with our values and purpose

Creating data collection systems and processes

Note: This role has been designed for a year to support in building and managing our systems and process but we would love to have you longer if it works for us both.

We are seeking new members of the Ministries Committee to start 1 September 2024, initially for a term of three years, renewable for a further 3 years if desired.
This is a well-established committee which will report to the new Connexional Council, which from September 2024 will be the trustee body of the Methodist Church in Great Britain. The Committee is charged with responsibility to keep in constant review the life of the Methodist Church as it relates to Ministries, to reflect strategically and review ministries related work that will enable the work of the Church to be more effective, and to review the formational and support needs of those who exercise ministry on behalf of the Church. Working collaboratively with other committee members and with the Mission Committee and Resourcing Committee, you will bring a range of circuit experiences or other experiences of the Methodist Church to the work of the Ministries Committee.
Expressions of interest are invited from both lay and ordained members of the Methodist Church in Britain. The overall role of a treasurer is to:
- Maintain an overview of the organisation's affairs
- Ensuring its financial viability

In small charities without paid staff the treasurer may take a greater role in the day-to-day finances of the organisation.
General responsibilities
- To ensure that the organisation complies with its governing document, community interest company law, and any other relevant legislation or regulations.

- To ensure the organisation applies its resources exclusively in pursuance of its objects (the community interest company must not spend money on activities which are not included in its own objects, no matter how worthwhile or charitable those activities are).

Job Title: Member of the Listed Buildings Advisory Committee
Seeking volunteers with a special interest in the Conservation of Historic Places of Worship for the Methodist Church’s Connexional Listed Buildings Advisory Committee.
Do you have expert knowledge of the ecclesiastical historic built environment? Non-conformist architecture and heritage? Expert knowledge of the conservation of our fixtures of architectural and historic significance? Or knowledge of Methodist liturgy and worship in a historic Place of Worship? About the role
The Listed Buildings Advisory Committee (LBAC) is a long – established Committee of the Methodist Church whose primary purpose is to fulfil the responsibilities set out by the relevant Standing Orders (980) and statutory responsibilities and provide expert knowledge on all matters relating to historic church buildings.
Members of the Committee reflect a wide spectrum of interest; some are professionally concerned with the conservation of listed buildings, others have a special interest in the history of Methodist chapels and churches, or archaeology, whilst others are Methodist ministers or church members.
Strong emphasis is placed on a church being the people of God and the Calling of the Methodist Church with the building being there to serve a living church within a changing community. Membership of the LBAC therefore reflects the balance between the need for rigorous conservation and the necessary adaptation of listed church buildings to meet changing needs.
Sympathy with these aims is desirable but membership of the Methodist Church is not essential.
About You
As a member of the LBAC you will contribute to the review, evaluation and recommendation process for proposals relating to works of alteration to listed buildings owned by the Methodist Church. The primary duty is to provide expert guidance and advice on conservation and development of historic church buildings and have a specialist knowledge in one or more than one of the following areas:
· knowledge of the history, development and use of Methodist chapels;
· knowledge of Methodist liturgy and worship;
· knowledge of archaeology;
· knowledge of the history and development of architecture and the visual arts; and
· experience of the care of historic buildings and their contents.

You’ll be part of a small team of volunteer advisers based at Scope’s new Leeds Community Hub. The hub opens in October 2024 at 3 Brewery Wharf, Leeds, LS10 1NE.
This is a part-time volunteering opportunity - we suggest half a day a week. Timing is flexible and can be discussed on an individual basis.

Role Overview
The Medical Lead Statistician will play a pivotal role in advancing Mast Cell Action's research initiatives. This volunteer position involves designing and analysing clinical studies, interpreting data, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enhance our understanding of MCAS.
Key Responsibilities
- Study Design and Methodology:
- Collaborate with researchers to design robust clinical studies.

Job Description
You will work alongside our CEO and Managing Director throughout 2024/5 to:

Create our events calendar for 2022 in line with our purpose, including workshops, classes, talks, fairs, festivals and anything else you can think of!

Build and manage our events team

Take ownership of managing the events

Build systems and processed to plan, execute and review all events

Report on plans and past events to the leadership team and trustee board
Note: This role has been designed for a year to support in building and managing our events but we would love to have you longer if it works for us both.

The role is fun, exciting and an opportunity to be part of Scouts in Wales, even if you have never been a Scout before.
As Area Lead Volunteer for Mid Glamorgan, you will take the lead making sure local Scouting is great. You will lead on implementing our strategy with your team of 4 District Lead Volunteers, motivating and supporting them to successfully lead the 39 Scout Groups across the Districts.

This is a senior manager role within Scouts and comes with responsibility. Would you like to gain experience of volunteering with a non-profit and supporting people with mental health conditions? We are looking for passionate and dedicated people to take part in our 12-week placement program.
About the Placement
Over the course of 12 weeks you will recieve training in a wide variety of topics relating to mental health and support services, as well as the opportunity to work directly with people living with a range of mental health conditions including BPD, PTSD, Bipolar, anxiety and depression.
As well as our bespoke training covering confidentiality, safeguarding, mental health awareness, emotional regulation and trauma, you will have the opportunity to run support groups, provide befriending and undertake a 4-week independent project relating to mental health and support services, as well as the opportunity to get involved in outreach and community engagement.
About You
You don't need any experience, just a passion to learn more about mental health and be able to commit to the length of the program. This is a fully remote placement program, so you will need a computer with reliable broadband, the equipment to participate in Teams calls and a quiet space to join calls and groups. You will also need to provide 2 references and preferably have a DBS certificate on the update service.
Time Committment
This is a 12-week program, each week you will be required to attend 2hrs of training/workshops which are held on Monday evenings, and 1 support group session per week which is held on Sunday evening.
