If you are based overseas you may be wondering "Can I apply for the UK-based jobs listed on this site?" It is generally only worth applying for a job when the employer is willing to conduct a telephone interview.
The advertisers of the jobs below are all prepared to conduct telephone interviews with overseas-based candidates. (Please see our note on Work Permits.)

Note on Work Permits
Generally speaking, most people from countries outside the European Economic Area will need a Work Permit to work in the UK. Some do not, e.g. people with right of permanent residence in the UK, students and commonwealth nationals. A Work Permit is not something you apply for - the employer must apply on your behalf, and it will only be granted where it can be demonstrated that the employer cannot recruit a resident national for the job.
For more details see UK Immigration and UK Visa Services. If you have an immigration question, see
The Home Office site.
