With 1 in 5 children struggling with their mental health, our surf therapy intervention is needed now more than ever. We transform the lives of children struggling with depression and anxiety. Through our 6 week course we help them to feel calm, confident, to have positive thoughts about themselves, to have higher self esteem and trust in others. We work with over 2000 children and young people across the UK every year and have reached over 14,000 over the past 14 years.

It is an exciting time to join the charity - we have a new CEO in post who has plans to take this charity to new heights - reaching even more children than ever before and we need an experienced fundraiser who can help us achieve that vision. Working as part of a small fundraising team you will have the ability to really make a substantial difference.

The role is advertised as 15 hours however there is the hope that this will end up being increased in the not too distant future. We will consider candidiates working remotely but for those based near HQ (Newquay, Cornwall) you will be able to join in with our pre work swims/paddles/coffee on the beach and our Bring and Share lunches! Please do not feel like you need to be a seasoned surfer for this role - the majority of the non delivery team are also not surfers!

We are seeking a part-time Family Practitioner who will support families with blind and partially sighted children and young people to develop improved emotional wellbeing, resilience, and coping strategies.

This post will cover Mid Wales providing predominantly online support with occasional home visits so the ability to visit families and being a car driver with access to your own vehicle will be an advantage. Consideration will be given to applicants across Wales.

You’ll be part of a remote England and Wales wide Family Practitioner team, who work closely together to draw on each other’s skills and experience to ensure families receive the best service from RSBC. The team link together to run online groups that further support the work and join together for two-day team training at our London office at least twice a year, involving paid for overnight stays.

The main purpose of this role is to:

· To establish and maintain a case load of families with blind and partially sighted children and young people aged 0 to 25 who identify themselves as needing support.

· To undertake family assessments to identify specific areas of need; to identify and deliver appropriate interventions that will promote children’s development and emotional wellbeing in collaboration with family members and make and support onward referrals as required.

· To ensure that service delivery meets the high standard that RSBC sets, with pre agreed performance indicators.

The ideal candidate will ideally have a qualification that demonstrates the ability to establish a trusting and open relationship with families and CYP. You’ll be experienced in providing emotional wellbeing support with families directly and have knowledge of child development from experience or qualification. You’ll know about family systems/systemic practice – from experience or qualification as well as knowledge and practical experience of using family centred interventions in collaboration with families. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong teamwork ethic to fit in with our friendly and knowledgeable team of Family Practitioners across England and Wales.

Job Purpose 

The purpose of this role is to provide operational support to CAVA’s Health and Wellbeing Manager to support the delivery of the community engagement aspect of the REN Workplan which is identified through the REN Working/Steering Group. Restorative Justice for All (RJ4All) is a charitable, user-led international institute with expertise in preventing and addressing harm at the individual, community and inter-state levels. The Commercial Property Lawyer is responsible for providing legal advice on Commercial Property matters generally and playing an important role during the rationalisation of the Charity’s property portfolio. In order to achieve our vision we need a highly capable Director of Finance to build and improve on our high-performing finance function and to drive forward operational excellence.

Reporting directly into the CEO, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our financial strategy, long-term financial planning, and developing commercial strategies to maximise income and operating contribution. You will also have responsibility of cash management, risk management and governance. You will be the Senior Information Risk Owner (SIRO) for the organisation and will lead on Property and Procurement.

This is a varied and exciting role which will provide you with the opportunity of leading a well-established team of professionals, reporting on the financial performance of the organisation together with providing analysis, advice and support to facilitate decision making to deliver sound financial management.

You will be a qualified accountant, and will need to demonstrate:

· Proven experience in a leadership role;

· Experience at Board level and ability to work in collaboration with Trustees and colleagues;

· Understanding and experience of strategic risk management, finance audit and internal controls

The Consultant role will support the Director and Mobilise team to coordinate and  deliver a range of projects supporting our clients. This new and exciting role is well suited to an individual that enjoys building new connections, working with and supporting people and organisations to learn and develop, values working to a high standard and wants to bring about change. The post holder's duties will primarily focus on providing capacity building support to third sector organisations alongside organising events, undertaking community outreach, building and maintaining relationships and networks, writing reports based on analysis and research, and engaging with clients and project stakeholders to prepare bids and deliver new work. 

Main Duties:

• Plan and manage projects to ensure activities are delivered effectively to timescale and budget

• Plan and deliver fieldwork, outreach projects and events to engage residents and organisations 

• Work as part of a team to deliver projects with associates and partner companies

• Undertake research and data collection, including resident engagement activities

• Lead and support the design and delivery of workshops, training opportunities, and resources to support NFP organisations on a range of key capacity building areas

Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required (Essential) 

• Supporting/Working with or in not for profit (NFP) organisations, in particular voluntary, community and/or social enterprises 

• Knowledge of key areas that create a strong and sustainable NFP organisation

• Knowledge or experience of working with NFP organisations of different sizes from grassroots to key anchor and national level organisations and a clear understanding of their current challenges

• Facilitating and developing or supporting events, workshops, focus groups or other similar activities

• Delivering fieldwork and outreach approaches to successfully recruit and engage a wide range of people and organisations

• Help identify an organisation’s development needs

• Excellent people skills that enable you to work sensitively and build trust to develop working relationships with a diverse range of people, organisations and clients from different sectors

• Excellent written and communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences and present information clearly and confidently

Key Terms 

• Salary Range: £27,500-£38,000 (FTE), depending on experience 

• Negotiable full or part time hours – (minimum of 0.6 FTE). The role is open to compressed working in accordance with the needs of the job 

• Home and remote working with one day or more per week at a shared office

• Some travel required within London and England which may include overnight stays according to the needs of contracts (anticipated travel days 2-3 days per month)

Press Officer

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000, non negotiable and dependent on experience.
Location: This is a remote role, with a requirement to attend the UK Covid 19 Inquiry as frequently as possible when it is sitting, and on key days such as the opening of Modules or when high profile witnesses are called.
Hours: Full time, but flexible, with a requirement to work outside of office hours to attend key meetings and manage the press inbox when there is high demand.

Covid-19 Bereaved Families for Justice are looking for a press officer to oversee our press and communications as we fight to ensure the mistakes from the pandemic are never repeated again.

This is an exciting opportunity to manage the press office for an organisation which in recent years has been at the forefront of some of the biggest news stories in the country, including the Covid Inquiry, ‘Partygate’ and many more.

We are looking for someone who supports our cause of ensuring that the mistakes made in the pandemic are never repeated and has good people skills to work sensitively with those who have been bereaved by Covid-19.

You will be one of a four person staff team working alongside our Directors and over 7,000 members who are all personally bereaved. You will be line managed by our campaign manager.

Press Officer Responsibilities:

• Manage our press officer so that we are able to respond to press inquiries in a timely and effective manner. We are lucky enough to manage a very busy press office, so strong organisational skills are required.
• Create press plans and proactively pitch stories which help achieve our wider campaign goals. This will involve creating press strategies with creative flare and the Press Officer will need to be comfortable thinking of new angles and stunts to raise our profile.
• To cultivate new and nurture existing media contacts
• Media train and support volunteers from the campaign
• Deputise for the campaign manager when required
• Oversee and generate fresh content for our social media channels, working alongside volunteers from the campaign
• Support with drafting copy to update our members as well as fundraising and reaching other external stakeholders when necessary
• Translate at times complicated policy lines around public health and legal processes into compelling personalised narratives for press statements and comments

Essential Experience:

• Experience of working within a busy press office environment, PR agency or as a journalist  
• Proven experience of creating and implementing effective media strategies which help advance wider organisational aims and goals.
• Proven experience of proactive pitching stories in high profile media outlets that help to advance an organisations aims
• Proven experience of managing and maintaining good relationships with a variety of journalists, including national print and broadcast media, as well as political and health correspondents.
• Experience of prioritising effectively in a demanding and fast paced environment
• Excellent writing skills that can be tailored to reach a range of audiences.
• Experience of working with case studies and being sensitive and supportive to their needs

We’re looking for an ambitious fundraiser to join our Philanthropy team, capitalising on recent growth and with the chance to really make your mark. Your role is to engage influential and high-profile individuals and Trusts in the UK, connecting them to the difference they can make to thousands of men facing prostate cancer.

Providing the highest level of stewardship, you’ll ensure existing and new supporters feel valued, inspiring them to make five and six figure gifts, which will significantly improve the lives of men facing prostate cancer and their families. You’ll also harness the support of our enthusiastic and influential Trustees, Senior Volunteers and Leadership Team, involving them in ‘making the ask’, thanking, as well as attending events.

What we want from you

As Events & Community Fundraising Lead, you will play a key role in the fundraising management team, leading on the delivery of the fundraising strategy, generating income around key areas including events, community, challenges and volunteer-led fundraising.
