About the role:
This role is based at Lancaster Police Station. This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement.
As an IDVA working on Operation Provide you will:
- Work with the Police safeguarding team to identify high risk victims of domestic abuse.
- Check internal systems to check if victims are known or open to internal services and liaise with same.
- Conduct joint visits with the police to victims who are at serious risk of harm to provide independent information about their rights and options to enable them to keep safe from harm.
- Assess their needs and develop a bespoke safety and support plan
- Provide information and advocacy around the criminal justice process
- Liaise with internal and external agencies in order to keep the victim safe from harm and address their needs.
You will need:
- IDVA accreditation and/or have considerable relevant experience in supporting victims of domestic abuse
- a comprehensive understanding of domestic abuse & the impact on victims & families
- knowledge of risk assessment, safety planning & risk management
- an understanding of Safeguarding issues & the legal responsibilities surrounding these
- theoretical, practical & procedural knowledge of civil & criminal justice remedies
- experience of partnership working
- good organisational skills, able to prioritise effectively
- strong crisis management skills, able to deal with difficult situations.
- Good communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal
- IT skills, able to use Microsoft Office & Case Management systems

ABOUT THE EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATOR ROLE
Within this role, reporting to the Director of Finance and Resource, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-level administrative and governance support to various leaders within the organisation including the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), The Board, and CEO. What are we looking for from an Executive Administrator?

The Woodland Trust is looking for an Events & Engagement Officer based at our Hainault Forest Visitor Centre to lead on the events and engagement aspects of our visitor offer.
The Role:
• Based at our Hainault Forest Visitor Centre, the role will lead on the events and engagement aspects of our visitor offer at Hainault Forest, providing a high-quality experience across the forest, and a targeted and innovative programme of events activity across the year.

Our kitchen chef will prepare and cook meals for residents according to agreed menus. Oversees the service kitchen by managing any other members of the food preparation team, deciding what dishes to serve and adjusting orders to meet client's requests. As a Independent Sexual Violence Advisor you will be:
- As an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA), you will provide ongoing continuity, advocacy and impartial advice and information to all survivors accessing our service. Whilst you will be supporting all clients who have suffered sexual violence, this role also requires the ISVA to focus on supporting clients with a wide range of disabilities, both physical and hidden.
- Being an experienced ISVA, you will conduct risk assessments and assess the specific needs of people who have suffered sexual violence. Your expertise in this area will enable you to develop individual service plans that address these risks and needs. You will have a proven track record of working with high and complex cases and have demonstrated resilience in your professional life, enabling you to work effectively under pressure. You will have extensive experience working with vulnerable clients and possess the skills to maintain professional boundaries working alongside them.
- You will also be adept at working in a trauma-informed manner, acknowledging that trauma can impact victims in different ways, and offering support with this as a priority. As an advocate for sexual violence survivors/victims, you will work to promote their confidence, resilience, and empowerment both within and outside of the criminal justice system.
- You will provide non-therapeutic support to victims/survivors. This will be delivered face-to-face or via telephone, text and/or email based on the preferences of the client. To build links with services across West Yorkshire to ensure wrap-around support is available.
- You will be required to attend relevant meetings and will provide regular reports to your line manager and also undertake talks and presentations to local groups and agencies on the work of Victim Support, developing networks and partnerships and increasing the role of the service in the community. You will be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with people from all areas of the community and be able to assist with the monitoring, evaluation and administration of written statistical reports on the project management for our external funders.
- You will offer guidance and support to clients in navigating the criminal justice process while ensuring their rights are protected in accordance with the Victims Code of Practice. You will provide victims with access to resources and support to help them through the criminal justice process.

What will I be doing?

Oversee work on patient involvement across all areas of CRUK that would benefit from this across research, fundraising and policy, ensuring adherence to good practice.
