About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for new Advocates to join our team covering Coventry & Warwickshire. Your role will require you to travel to locations such as clients’ homes, hospitals, care homes and within community settings across the area to meet with clients and professionals. You will be home based for administration; therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection is essential.
About you
Desirably you will have some experience of working in advocacy, or providing welfare, supporting, or caring for Adults or young people who have support needs, ideally for those with a variety of communication needs, mental ill health, physical health issues, or barriers to accessing education and support.
You should have worked or volunteered in health, social care, welfare, support services, education or young person’s services, or advice and guidance.

You will be responsible for ensuring the individual’s wishes, feelings, beliefs, needs, and values are met to create positive outcomes for the people you support.
You will support people to speak up for themselves and grow in confidence, equip them to understand and exercise their rights and options, and will assist them in the decision-making process relating to their care, treatment, and support.
You will work resourcefully and collaboratively with the individuals you support. You’ll be creative in your approach to empower our clients by ensuring you meaningfully explain people’s options and rights to them. You’ll support individuals to fully participate in decisions affecting them and will make sure they have their voices heard.

How are staff supported to work remotely?
VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Advocates are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community.
When you need to travel for work, expenses will be paid (mileage or public transport costs).
VoiceAbility offers the usual regular manager one to ones, Staff forums and communities of practice depending on role. Team meetings with a mix of virtual and in person approach.

RNID Near You Co-ordinators x 3 South and West Wales

As one of the three Co-ordinators for our RNID Near You community service in South and West Wales, you will focus and lead on developing and delivering the community service across your designated area through drop-in sessions offering:
· practical hearing aid support
· information on hearing loss and tinnitus
· hearing checks
You will be responsible for co-ordinating up to 15 drop-in sessions and be able to recruit, train and manage a team of up to 25 volunteers to deliver the service. You will have responsibility for the set up and running of these sessions and have good local knowledge of the chosen area to seek new opportunities for delivery of the RNID Near-You services.
We are looking to appoint a motivated person with a keen interest in supporting people with their hearing loss. While you will be home based, there will be regular travel to all venues where we will provide drop-in sessions in community settings.
You want to make a difference in people’s lives and love to interact with various audiences, including volunteers, health & care professionals and service users. You have experience managing events, your own workload and are able to work evenings/ weekends if required. You are able to physically assist clients with hearing aids sensitively, giving clear guidance and taking into account individual wishes and health needs.
You are ready to work for a home-working organisation and have good IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word.

Supporting people who are deaf, have hearing loss or tinnitus

Day One Trauma Support began with a courageous mission for trauma care excellence from a leading trauma and orthopaedic surgeon and his patients. Today, the organisation exists to make that vital support available to everyone, everywhere.
Day One Trauma Support is the only charity supporting all major trauma patients, regardless of their type of injury. They offer practical and emotional support to anyone who has experienced major trauma in the UK through their national support offer. With caseworkers in seven major trauma centres, a growing base of supporters and a passionate team of staff and volunteers, they are making a real difference to people at a time when they are extremely vulnerable, and their services are in high demand.
A catastrophic event can change everything. Every year, across England and Wales, there are 20,000 major trauma cases and 16,000 deaths following injury. We are looking for an accomplished Relationship Fundraiser to join the ambitious and dedicated fundraising team at Day One Trauma Support, could this be you?
The Role
The role of the Relationship Fundraiser will be to develop fundraising income through nurturing relationships with individuals, companies and groups. Duties will include:
- Identifying fundraising opportunities with new audiences including individuals, community groups, faith groups, regional corporates, local trusts, volunteers, local events etc.
- Working with the Fundraising Manager to achieve financial targets and budgets.
- Delivering exceptional donor care and stewardship.
- Creating and publishing engaging content for Day One’s social media channels to inspire and engage supporters.
The Person
To be considered for this exciting opportunity you should come to us with experience of relationship fundraising and a proven track record of working to, meeting and exceeding financial and non-financial targets.
An organised self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you should be able to build and maintain brilliant relationships with supporters. With a real love for meeting and talking to people, you should be genuinely interested in the charity’s donors and why they want to support the charity.
Perhaps most importantly, as one of the public faces of Day One Trauma, you should have a high degree of personal integrity and the ability to work with tact, diplomacy and discretion, reflecting the charity’s values in all the work you do.

Key Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for marketing and communications at Soundabout which includes:
• Review, update, and deliver a marketing and communications strategy and calendar to support Soundabout's goals, supported by the CEO.
• Plan and deliver strategic marketing campaigns and events (mostly digital), with strategic support from the CEO, including an annual winter fundraising campaign and ad host virtual events to promote Soundabout and build stakeholder relations.
• Develop, manage, and update the content on Soundabout's main website (WordPress), keeping it compelling, accessible, and on brand for all our key audiences.
• Maintain and update the Soundabout Families and Soundabout Choir Hubs websites, ensuring they stay up-to-date and on brand.
• Create, publish, and schedule posts for Soundabout's social media channels with the aim of engaging and growing our audience and in line with strategy, working with the CEO and wider team to determine content. Replying to and moderating conversations in our community spaces. We are currently active on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and Bluesky.
• Design digital and printed marketing materials and publications, such as newsletters, annual reports / impact reports, and flyers for our different audiences.
• Collate content from across the team, to write and circulate newsletters and ad hoc bulletins, editing content so it is coherent in style, using MailChimp.
• Maintain brand consistency across all communications and craft clear, engaging, and inspiring market copy and compelling communications about Soundabout’s work.
• Collaborate with colleagues and the Soundabout community to collect and share their stories in an authentic and respectful way, further developing Soundabout’s storytelling work.
• Work with Administrator to review mailing lists set up on Salesforce (our CRM system).
• Promoting Soundabout’s commissionable activities, maintaining regular communications with commissioners, and proactively anticipating and negotiating renewals.
• Drafting and circulating thank you letters and other regular communications with Soundabout donors, funders, supporters, as directed by CEO.
• Be innovative: review and implement new technologies to improve our campaigns, drive engagement and boost supporter experience.
• Be reflective: review campaigns and proactively adapt plans to optimise future results. Provide analytics for reporting.
• Share stories externally, utilising publications / journals / virtual spaces related to the sectors Soundabout inhabits.

About the role:
This role is based in Ashford, Kent and is hybrid. This job cannot be home based and you will need to be able to travel across Kent and Medway.
As the Team Leader for our Community Team you will be:
- Responsible for the daily activities of a diverse group of staff working with people who have experienced different crime types, reporting to the Community Team Operations Manager.
- You will need to demonstrate your ability to lead across many issues whilst retaining a focus on service delivery and quality outcomes from the work that we do.
- This job is a busy one so you will need to manage competing priorities, very different personalities, challenge respectfully and have the resilience to bounce back when things do not work out as you would have wanted.
You will need:
- To be able to work independently against an agreed plan
- To remain empathetic whilst making sure staff are holding safe but challenging caseloads
- Able to work in partnership with other agencies and with team members.
- Resilience. This is a busy job with multiple demands on your time so you will need to remain focused on what your priorities are.

About the role:
This role is based at Lancaster Police Station. This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement.
As an IDVA working on Operation Provide you will:
- Work with the Police safeguarding team to identify high risk victims of domestic abuse.
- Check internal systems to check if victims are known or open to internal services and liaise with same.
- Conduct joint visits with the police to victims who are at serious risk of harm to provide independent information about their rights and options to enable them to keep safe from harm.
- Assess their needs and develop a bespoke safety and support plan
- Provide information and advocacy around the criminal justice process
- Liaise with internal and external agencies in order to keep the victim safe from harm and address their needs.
You will need:
- IDVA accreditation and/or have considerable relevant experience in supporting victims of domestic abuse
- a comprehensive understanding of domestic abuse & the impact on victims & families
- knowledge of risk assessment, safety planning & risk management
- an understanding of Safeguarding issues & the legal responsibilities surrounding these

Our kitchen chef will prepare and cook meals for residents according to agreed menus. Salary: £33,188 per annum (Inclusive of London Weighting of £3,000, which may not be applicable depending on your home location and any agreed permanent homeworking arrangement)

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Business Accountant. This is a hands-on role in a very busy finance team supporting the delivery of a partnering service to colleagues across the organisation where you will have the opportunity to make an impact through your work every day.
As the Business Accountant, you will be supporting the Finance Business Partnering team to ensure that robust financial reporting and system controls are in place to underpin sound financial management and the delivery of meaningful performance information. Your work will contribute to informing effective long-term decision-making and protect the financial future of Refuge. Work will be directed by the Senior Finance Business Partner and by other members of the Partnering team as required to achieve departmental and organisational outcomes.

About the role:
Due to the requirements of the role, you will be required to work from the Southampton office for all shifts.
As a Triage & Early Interventions Officer Assistant you will:
- Assist the caseworker in answering the telephone and contacting clients as required
- Update and maintain manual and computerised database and case management systems and records in accordance with the service's internal policies/procedures and organisational standards
- Assist the caseworker with navigation around the building, including greeting outside the entrance and escorting to desk.
- Communicate with victim's in a written format, including text, email and letter under the guidance of the caseworker.
- Assist with the care and support of the guide dog assigned to support the caseworker
You will need:
- Effective verbal/written communication and numerical skills.
- Excellent IT skills and experience of using all packages in the standard Microsoft Office suite and case management systems/databases.
- Excellent record keeping skills with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Experience of working in a client focused service area or setting.
- Understanding and knowledge of equal opportunities and diversity
