Job description

We are The Bureau, Glossop's Community Wellbeing Charity and we have been supporting our community by meeting identified needs since 1979. Our overarching aim is to make life better for people in Glossopdale, and we achieve this with the support of 27 staff members and 300 dedicated volunteers. We operate across the Glossopdale district and undertake a range of activities to achieve our aims, including social prescribing, peer support activities, and practical support and advice.

We are seeking to recruit some volunteer fundraisers, to support our mission by actively raising funds and generating financial support for our cause. You will lead the Fundraising Committee in engaging with donors, sponsors and community members to build relationships, promote awareness, and secure contributions. You will develop and attend fundraising activities and events, and share learning and best practice. You will work closely with other volunteer Committee members, providing guidance, support, and resources to help them achieve their fundraising goals. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the community while developing valuable fundraising and communication skills.

You will receive regular support and guidance from our Management Team and Volunteer Coordinator, with opportunities for personal development and training. You can give as much or as little time as you like, but we would prefer someone who can offer a couple of hours a month for a regular meeting and some implementation.
