Role Requirements
Reporting to the Senior Engineer, the Plumber will use their vast experience, skill, and knowledge from previous roles to deliver exceptional plumbing services to the estate, ensuring the efficient operation and safety of all electrical systems and associated items in compliance with current standards and regulations.
Ensuring requirements of Children, young people, parents, staff and visitors are met at all times the role will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance tasks in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule and also for installation, investigation, diagnosis and fault finding on a wide range of engineering plant and equipment, including, but not limited to heating and hot water systems, hot and cold-water services, air conditioning, air handling and ventilation equipment, drainage and rainwater system and control systems. To add variety to your day, you'll also be assigned other duties through the help desk. These tasks will diversify your workload and ensure your role remains dynamic and engaging.
Provide and receive routine and complex information to inform colleagues and other personnel. Be knowledgeable and conversant with technical issues and communicate and explain those to colleagues.
The role holder will assist in the supervision and monitoring of maintenance work carried out by contracts ensuring at all times their own work and that is contractors is within the statutory guidelines the role will ensure a quality customer service and delivery of outcomes within expected SLAs.
The role holder will participate in a 7-day shift rota and out of hours call out to ensure a 24/7 coverage of the estate.

What we do
Time & Talents is a lively, busy community centre in the heart of Rotherhithe, SE16. Set in a leafy heritage building, and ‘T&T2’, our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, we offer something for everyone. With a history of 137 years of supporting people of all ages in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, we bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship, with a wide range of services and activities for older people and other adults, along with volunteering and children and families’ projects. Since resuming services post-Covid, we have realized the needs and wants of the community have shifted from our previous offer. The role
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
• Strategic development and oversight of community programmes for children, adults and across multiple generations
• Leadership and line management of team; oversight of sessional facilitators and contractors used by team
• Setting programme budget and service targets; monitoring and evaluation to ensure delivery against these
• Playing a key part in building, broadening and developing new funding for these programmes and maintaining relationships with current funders

About you
You have a track record of developing and delivering excellent community programmes in the third sector. You’re a seasoned team leader with experience of change management. You’re flexible, accountable, take responsibility, are highly organised and skilled in multitasking and balancing priorities. You have experience of fundraising and maybe other types of income generation. You have strong relationship building skills – internally and externally - and build trust and credibility easily. Main Responsibilities
You will use your understanding of what makes a compelling fundraising ask to develop 5-6-figure applications to trust, Lottery and statutory funders and to build robust cases for support and compelling proposition documents for the wider Philanthropy and Partnerships Team to use in approaching corporate and major philanthropic funders. The role
We are looking for a Trusts and Grants Officer to play a crucial role in ensuring the ongoing success and expansion of our partnerships with trusts, foundations and statutory givers. Working closely with the Trusts and Grants Manager and four more team members, this new role will lead on nurturing low and mid-value relationships with prospective funders who have capacity to give ongoing funding to FareShare.
As the cost of living crisis pushes millions into food insecurity, and the world is faced with a climate emergency, the difference you can make by joining the Trusts and Grants Team is substantial. Our dual social and environmental purpose has never resonated more with partners and we have just launched an ambitious strategy to double the number of meals we can provide, amplifying our impact and presenting a compelling case for support.
The Trusts and Grants and Officer will take on the management and stewardship of a diverse portfolio of four and five-figure funding relationships, while developing new partnerships with a range of givers and leading on prospecting for certain areas of our funder portfolio.
Main areas of responsibility
Build relationships with a portfolio of four and five-figure trust supporters, understanding their motivations and tailoring opportunities and communications to cultivate strong, long-lasting partnerships.
Foster a deep understanding of FareShare’s work and strategy to create persuasive fundraising proposals that inspire and solicit funds. This includes working closely with colleagues in the wider Fundraising team to build a sound understanding of FareShare operations and where support is most needed.
Supporting with the team’s prospecting process, using your own research and sector knowledge to identify new opportunities from identification through to solicitation.
Lead the Trusts & Grants and wider Fundraising team on specific projects within FareShare’s work, collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to gather information to inform fundraising activities.
Develop personalised stewardship plans to deepen funder relationships. Craft compelling written communications including emails, proposals, and reports to showcase the impact of trust support and celebrate key milestones. Support on and lead calls, meetings and visits to strengthen funder partnerships and engagement with our work.
Support the Trusts & Grants Manager and wider team as needed, especially in instances where a complex funding application requires more than one team member to complete.
Maintain accurate records of partner interactions in our CRM system and shared files, and consistently update financial records and account plans.

Skills & Experience
- Charity sector, and ideally trust fundraising experience, with demonstrable success of managing relationships with trusts and foundations to secure multiple five figure grants.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with good persuasive writing and proof-reading ability.
- Experience of creative proposal writing, and the ability to demonstrate clear outcomes and impact.

This role will involve conducting vital research on trusts and foundations to help us engage more effectively with existing donors and uncover new prospects. Additionally, you will support the team's administrative functions, ensuring smooth operations and effective planning.

Acting as the spokesperson for the Together Trust and the people it supports on policy issues you will be responsible for the following:
- Managing and developing the Together Trust’s policy and campaigns strategy in line with the Trust’s strategic long-term plan.
- Leading on the development of policy priorities with staff and the people we support. Working with them to develop a Theory of Change for the Together Trust. Working directly with the Trust Directors, Trustees and external agencies.

- An undergraduate degree qualification (Level 6 or equivalent), preferably in a relevant discipline with a good understanding of the UK political environment, local and national government structures and decision-making.

We are excited to be recruiting a Philanthropy Manager to join our Fundraising Team. This is a new role which will be instrumental in setting us up well to grow income from major donors over the coming years.
