Through our 6 week course we help them to feel calm, confident, to have positive thoughts about themselves, to have higher self esteem and trust in others. We work with over 2000 children and young people across the UK every year and have reached over 14,000 over the past 14 years.
It is an exciting time to join the charity - we have a new CEO in post who has plans to take this charity to new heights - reaching even more children than ever before and we need an experienced fundraiser who can help us achieve that vision. This is a new role at the DEC and developed as a key part of the DEC’s 2024-2029 strategy. The DEC has a wide range of established relationships with trusts and foundations, many of which give 6- and 7-figure sums to DEC appeals. The Trusts & Foundations Manager will be responsible for providing excellent stewardship to our portfolio of trusts and foundations. In addition, the role will also be responsible for cultivating new relationships for the DEC through thorough research, and through the prospect development cycle, to raise money for DEC appeals. - Present and attend meetings alongside senior leaders and stakeholders at UK Youth
- Work with the Senior Partnerships Manager to identifying new streams of income from different corporate audiences
- Work with the Senior Partnerships Manager to develop the corporate partnerships offer beyond income generation, identifying opportunities for corporate partners to offer their skills and expertise to further UK Youth’s charitable objectives
- Ensure all donations are accurately recorded and recognised, working closely with the finance team
- Ensure that the CRM is up to date and accurate at all times
- Keep up to date with trends, research and data on fundraising and corporate partnerships, helping to inform long-term strategy
Experience we're after
- Demonstratable experience in a sales or corporate fundraising role, working on six – seven figure proposals
- Proven track record of corporate partnerships fundraising/ securing sales targets from new organisations
- Experience of working in a busy and deadline-driven environment and achieving ambitious targets
- Experience negotiating, pitching and presenting to senior (C-suite) internal and external stakeholders

Ethiopiaid is a small charity that makes a big impact in Ethiopia. Our approach is simple, and it works. We partner with local NGOs in Ethiopia to provide the funding they need to put their programmes into action.
Our dedicated and friendly team of nine staff are based in central Bath and we are seeking someone to join us in the Partnerships team to focus on growing income from trusts and foundations, support fundraising from high-net worth individuals, and provide administration support to our CEO.
Working with the Senior Partnerships Manager and Partnerships Manager you will focus on developing our small portfolio of existing trusts and foundations as well as prospects, support with delivering excellent stewardship and engagement, and lead on prospect research to attract and secure new funders.
As part of a small energetic team, you will also contribute to the growth of income from high-net worth individuals and the delivery of wider team objectives.
- Location: Central Bath – 2 core days a week in the office with opportunity to work from home the remaining 3.
- Hours: Full time (40 hours per week, incl lunch)

Ethiopiaid Office Culture:
We are a professional, yet relaxed, office with a flexible work structure (core hours 9.30am to 3.30pm). The team are expected to work two days a week in the office, with an option to work flexibly on the other days from home if you can provide a suitable office set up. As a small team, we have a warm and collaborative work environment with opportunities to develop your skillset in areas in - and outside of - your job role.

Essential requirements:

- Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends (attending events, donor visits)
- Must live within easy commuting distance to our office in Bath.
Desirable requirements:
- Experience/ understanding of one of the following areas would be an advantage: Individual Giving, Grantmakers or Major Donor fundraising
- Donor stewardship experience
Whilst a degree is an advantage it is not a requirement for this role. We are seeking someone who can
demonstrate an ability to write clearly and to a high standard, with good verbal communication skills, pays
attention to detail, enjoys researching, is quick to learn and not afraid to ask question.
