Our Careers Development Managers (CDMs) are the main point of contact for young people on our social mobility programmes. The main focus of the role is the recruitment, development and support of young people into meaningful careers. 

CDMs create recruitment networks in their areas and lead bootcamps to improve their employability (e.g. interview techniques) and to enhance their personal and leadership abilities (e.g. critical thinking). Once young people are hired, CDMs use their established relationship to provide pastoral care and in-work support.

LTSB’s vision is A world where all young people can choose their careers, with an emphasis on improving the lives of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. The successful candidate will have a proven commitment to improving the lives of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, and they have an excellent understanding of social mobility, diversity and inclusion issues, and how these factors impact young people. 

LTSB does not have its own offices, so you will work remotely, but this role has significant in-person delivery expectations at partner organisations and corporate supporters, as well as occasion travel to our city hubs Birmingham, Liverpool, London, and Manchester. Position will require DBS Disclosure at enhanced level.

ROLE SUMMARY 

upReach has grown quickly over the last 5 years, and our successful Income Generation brings with it a number of administrative elements, which are currently spread across numerous team members. We are investing in this new position in order to centralise those diverse admin responsibilities, with the Income and Finance Liaison Senior Officer taking full ownership of the associated processes and deliverables, and helping to establish "best practice" to support the Charity in our next growth phase.

The Income and Finance Liaison Senior Officer will contribute to the growth of upReach by working across the Income Generation and Finance teams contributing to a wide range of income and finance related activities. You will support the teams to meet income targets and deliver the 2024-27 strategic plan.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Director of Income Generation and External Engagement you will work closely with the Director of Finance, CEO, Finance and Programmes teams, and colleagues across the income generating and external engagement team;  supporting them to meet financial targets, provide excellent stewardship and to  implement key administrative and financial processes. 

The core responsibilities include: 

Income generation and External Engagement

• Ownership of a range of administrative tasks, including stewarding of donors and partners and support of the Development Board.

• Promptly addressing incoming queries from supporters and partners, including email, telephone and post; assist the team by managing;

  • Departmental email inboxes

  • Prioritising requests and responding where appropriate

• Oversee the management of contracts with partners and funders; generate, issue and follow up in a timely fashion.

• Support the timely production of monthly management reports.

• Play a key role in the complaints procedures for the department and conduct full investigations where needed.

• Work with the team to ensure all relevant data is created and maintained regularly and accurately on the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) database.

• Keep on top of developments, changes in trends and patterns, new techniques and legislation. 

Finance

• Act as the key liaison point between the income generation and finance team.

• Work with Finance to identify and find solutions to bottlenecks in the purchase order, invoicing and payment process.

• Ensure that money coming into the charity can be identified and coded accurately on the CRM database and finance systems.

• Create and maintain accurate records in the finance system, including billing values, timings and dates.

Team Working

• Work with colleagues across the department and organisation.

• Lead and support rotatees (Team members on the Graduate scheme) and volunteers as required.

• Ensure upReach promotes a high performance culture and professional integrity.

• Support the implementation of business improvement and people development initiatives.

• Commit to the annual appraisal process, including deadlines and develop stretching, SMART OKRs (objectives and key results) to meet our strategic goals. 

Other

• Occasional out of office work may be required in order that the organisation is able to deliver on its commitments to its stakeholders

• Some UK travel will be required from time to time

4. Legal Point of Contact: As the first legal point of contact, they advise staff on corporate compliance matters, including security assessments and risk control investigations.

5. Regulatory Compliance: The Officer reviews the company’s compliance with existing and new regulations, identifies deficiencies, and provides necessary mitigations.

In summary, the GRC Officer will ensure that the Trust operates within legal and regulatory boundaries while managing risks effectively.

The role will work closely with the Human Resources Manager and other Central support team members and sits within the Finance, Risk and Administrative Team.

The ideal candidate will have a robust, current understanding of risk management practices, compliance protocols, and governance structures, with recent relevant experience in a similar role.

The person will work closely with various departments to foster a culture of integrity and accountability, possess exceptional organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.

Growing Hope is a charity providing free therapy for children and young people with additional needs in partnership with local churches across the UK. We aim to grow hope for children, hope for families and hope in Jesus. Growing Hope was founded in December 2017 and has a vision to see 20 clinics set up across the UK by 2030. We currently have three clinics, King’s Cross, Brockley and High Wycombe. We worked with over 500 children, young people, parents, carers, siblings and professionals in 2023.

Job Purpose 
Growing Hope is a national charity with a growing number of clinics across the UK. This operations role will provide support across the Growing Hope national staff team. This will include support with administration, finance, fundraising and training. This role is key in enabling all the functions of the national charity to run smoothly and effectively. The role will be based in King’s Cross with occasional events outside of the office.

Main Duties and Responsibilities 
Duties and responsibilities will be discussed and developed as the charity continues to grow. It is anticipated that this time will be flexible and adjusted according to the needs and priorities at the time. Specifically the role with include: 

IT administration

• Administration of IT systems, logins and spreadsheets for the team, volunteers, staff and freelancers (keeping these up to date and amending systems as required).
• Ordering and setting up IT hardware and software for individuals joining the team.
• Oversight of IT systems used by Growing Hope including ticket tailor, jot form, mail chimp, Microsoft office, google adverts and tracking. Supporting with problem solving when issues arise. 
• Overseeing and training others in Canopy (clinic administration software) and helping support and problem solve with using this. This includes liaising with a freelance software developer to manage the development project.

HR administration

• Oversight of the recruitment checking process for new volunteers, trustees, freelancers and employees. This includes carrying out DBS checks, calling referees, chasing for references and communicating with individuals as they start with Growing Hope.
• Management of the ‘internal news’ list in order to track individuals working closely with the charity. 
• Writing, drafting and sending out HR letters, contracts and contract variations. 
• Organising internal events on behalf of the team including away days, training days and ad hoc events. 
• Organising online training as required for members of the Growing Hope team.

Office Support

• Overseeing the day to day office and building use including the alarm, maintenance visits, wifi, printer and other equipment. This includes liaising with other individuals who have office use.
• Liaising with the Director of Operations around the use of the office.
• Ordering office supplies as required, ensuring office space and storage is kept organised. 
• Supporting with external events planning including finding venues, sponsorship and items needed.
• Ordering equipment as required across the team.
• Ad hoc tasks as required across the team. 

Volunteer admin support

• Processing volunteer applications and induction as required.

ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

Key Duties:

Lead work on providing an information service for Healthwatch Camden, helping to ensure that it is readily accessible and can effectively direct people to the support or advice they need to access services or make choices about services.

-Lead on providing information to residents via our phone and emails, signposting and offering advice where available.

-Assisting projects and events formed by the Projects Lead and Engagement Lead.

-Ensure that our information resources are up to date and user-friendly.

-Take minutes and notes from Healthwatch Camden board and team meetings. 

-Work with colleagues to plan and use appropriate approaches to evidence gathering and to brief and support volunteers.

-Engage in local health events supporting our outreach officer, spreading news about what we do, offering information to the community. 

-Support our research projects, conducting interviews, supporting edits, and recording and transcription of interviews and focus groups.

-Be empathetic and proactive in your approach to including people who face barriers in using health and care services (for example disabled people, homeless people and people from migrant communities).

Conditions of service (summary)

Healthwatch Camden is committed to promoting equality in all aspects of

Annual leave entitlement is pro rata from 25 days’ a year (approximately 15 days). Sick leave entitlement depends on length of service, to a maximum of four weeks’ a year.

Data and Research Officer

The post-holder will play a key role within the Development team, maintaining the integrity of the College’s alumni database that underpins every aspect of the team’s work. The post holder will shape and deliver the College’s prospect research strategy, managing the prospect pipeline and supporting the fundraising programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Update, enhance and improve the alumni database (Raiser’s Edge) on a regular basis, ensuring that information is entered consistently, accurately and in a timely fashion.
• Maintain the integrity of the database, including importing and exporting data to/from RE, managing and uploading current student and alumni data from the central University database (CamSIS), College publication returns, the internet and other updates.
• Liaise with Cambridge University Development & Alumni Relations (CUDAR) on a regular basis to exchange updated alumni details. 
• Work with the Director and Deputy Director to manage the prospect pipeline, including conducting initial research into potential supporters.
• Produce detailed alumni profiles and briefings for the Director of Development and the Master for key meetings and events.
• Accurately record all gifts, pledges and legacies on the database and ensure procedures are effective and up-to-date.
• Ensure Gift Aid agreements are correctly recorded and renewed as appropriate. 
• Prepare donors’ lists for Governing Body, Council and relevant College publications.
• Work alongside the Deputy Development Director to complete the Annual Development Questionnaire (ADQ).
• Conduct research to find lost alumni and re-establish contact via new address and email details. 
• Deal with returned mail in a timely and organised manner, and with email “unsubscribes” and bounce-backs.
• Handle the notification of deceased members by recording information on the database, liaising with family members regarding obituaries for inclusion in the College Magazine. 
• Help devise new systems and processes to enable the work of the office to be carried out with ever greater efficiency and effectiveness.

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties. The post-holder may be asked to take on different tasks as required, and all employees are expected to work collaboratively to support the overall work of the College.

About the Role
