About The Role
The Help for Heroes Community Development team are looking to recruit a team of Community Builders to assist in their reshaped participation and connection strategy. Using Asset Based Community Development, we seek to support the charity’s objective to enhance reach and positive impact for members of the Armed Forces Community facing challenges within their local communities.

We are looking for a motivated, dynamic and confident people who are passionate about collaborating with communities in the design and delivery of interventions that bring and connect people together to strengthen networks within the local community. Working closely with Community Development Managers across regions within the UK, the Community Builders will play a vital role in helping to improve lives for Armed Forces Community members by creating a supportive environment that allows them to re-engage and connect with the services at Help for Heroes and with the wider community.
The main purpose of this role is to connect local people through their skills, passions and assets and support the creation of new connections, bringing people together to improve wellbeing and make the community a better place to live. This will include listening to different points of views, building relationships and motivating people to work together and create their own action influenced by their interests and skillsets to positively impact local communities and help them to flourish.
About You
You will have experience leading and facilitating the mobilisation of local communities, asset mapping, bringing together people for engagement that matters to them. You will have knowledge and experience of Asset Based Community Development work, outreach methods and you will have good organisational skills, energy and the ability to animate local communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outreach to drive local connection, engagement and participation opportunities for the AFC
- Develop and embed an ABCD informed way of work
- Asset map
- Organise and facilitate community meetings to share ideas, encourage collective decision making and build a sense of belonging
- Encourage and pilot community lead action in response to local AFC needs/interests through peer led/co-designed initiatives
- Increase awareness of the challenges faced by military personnel, veterans and their families
PLEASE NOTE: The successful candidates will need to be based within an hour’s commute of their allocated locality and there is a requirement to travel within a 75-mile radius of this location (travel expenses covered). Flexibility in working hours is necessary to ensure a total of 70 hours is covered over a 2-week period so please take this into consideration before applying.
We are looking for someone with the following:
- A Community Development qualification and/or at least 3 years' experience working within a community development or similar role, with responsibility for bringing about social change and improving quality of life
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop relationships which lead to actions
- Demonstrable experience within an integrated multi-disciplinary service
- Experience of engaging and working collaboratively with partners/stakeholders
About the Team
You will work as part of the Community Development team; this newly formed team will approach working in defined localities using an asset based community development approach. Together the Community Development Managers and the Community Builders will strengthen local communities using resources and networks that are readily available. You will do this to proliferate opportunities for sustainable participation and engagement alongside a multi-disciplinary team in order to support the Armed Forces Community to live well after service.

In recognition of the distinct challenges facing young women and girls (YWG), Advance will deliver a dedicated service to young women and girls (aged 13 to 18) who have been a victim or witness of crime. The Service Manager will lead and manage Advance’s YWG Victim Service, delivering effective management of a team of frontline Advocates, as well as collaborating with Catch 22 to ensure the Advance team and its service delivery are embedded in the wider CYP Victims Services delivered by Catch 22.
About You:
You will have experience of managing frontline staff, supporting them to follow service delivery processes and procedures to ensure effective and safe service delivery to achieve positive outcomes for young women and girls accessing the Victims and Witnesses service. You will have excellent time management skills to ensure service outcomes are monitored and reported on in a timely and effective manner. You will also have excellent communication skills that will allow you to build good working relationships with your team, the wider organisation and external delivery partners. You will be able to reflect and adapt to manage change and enhance working practices, as well as supporting your team through change. As a Playground Coordinator you will be supporting disabled young people and their families by coordinating the delivery of an adventure play service at Lady Allen Playground. This is a great opportunity to develop your existing skills in a rewarding role and gain a strong sense of achievement.

About the role
An exciting role to deliver a tailored package of support that will help Reigate and Banstead Council to increase levels of active travel in the area. You will engage with schools, workplaces, and communities to support and enable more people to walk, wheel, cycle and scoot for local everyday journeys, instead of taking the car.
As the Project Officer, you will plan and deliver fun, innovative and engaging activities such as mapping safe routes, leading rides and walks, practical skills sessions, competitions, initiatives and information events. The range of activities, events and resources will be adapted to meet the needs of the different audiences and will be designed to be inclusive so as many people as possible can benefit from the project and more local journeys can be travelled actively.
This role will require you to work with a range of people across local and diverse communities, workplaces and schools in Reigate and Banstead. Creating relationships with key people and employers, understanding the barriers, challenges and opportunities to actively travel. You will be working closely with others to develop a programme of activities.
You will have the opportunity to give people confidence, enthusiasm and skills to travel more actively, through events and community activities.
You will build and manage internal and external relationships with key people such as school or community travel champions, local authority colleagues and other Sustrans delivery officers.
Within the role, there will be an expectation to capture the impact of the project through completing reporting and monitoring, writing case studies, capturing quotes and photos and contributing to an end of project report.
This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.

You should have experience of working with children and young people within a community setting and delivering physical activities to groups. Your knowledge of the local area will help you form relationships with a wide range of organisations, groups, and individuals.
You will be a self-motivated and solution driven individual used to working independently as well as part of a team, with the ability to plan and prioritise your workload.

About the role
Corporate Partnerships are a vital income stream for Habitat for Humanity GB, and with the guidance of our Head of Corporate, the Corporate Partnership Manager will work to maximize fundraising opportunities and strengthen relationships with our current partners.
What the role involves
The Partnerships Manager will help to retain long term support and drive growth within in our portfolio for Habitat for Humanity GB. With an understanding of corporate partnerships and a passion for the charity sector and international humanitarian work, you will work as part of a team to ensure long-term relationships are fostered. Principle activities will include:
· Develop creative and innovative fundraising strategies for corporate partnerships, including writing proposals and pitches.
· Foster long-term relationships with partners through personalized and proactive engagement.
· Collaborate across the network to implement global partnership activations locally.
· Produce regular reports on progress, financial targets, and key learnings from fundraising efforts.
· Work with the Head of Corporate Fundraising to streamline the transition from new business prospects to account management.

A flexible approach

Our Activity Service
The Activity Service is an important part of our organisation, delivering high quality activities to the older people of Merton. Our Activity team create and deliver a wide range of activities including a daily lunch club, crafting, poetry, singing and exercises at our centre in Mitcham and other locations across the borough of Merton.

Background:
Amna envisions a world where refugees have the power to shape their own futures, unbounded by the impact of trauma, conflict and displacement. We are a refugee-led organization working to expand mental health support and community-led psychosocial services for refugees and other displaced people, giving them the tools to heal, rebuild resilience, and rediscover joy and belonging.
Our approach is simple and evidence-based, developed in partnership with refugees and psychosocial experts. We work globally to fund, train, and empower frontline organizations and humanitarian to deliver trauma and identity-informed care to those affected by displacement. The role-holder will have experience working according to ethical and good practice safeguarding principles. They will be expected to adhere to and promote Amna’s Safeguarding Policies as they will be involved in and responsible for programmes working with children and vulnerable groups in different settings.
How you will make a difference:
Amna is seeking a Social Media and Design Consultant on a monthly retainer contract to support our digital content strategy and enhance our online presence. Both individuals and agencies with the relevant skills and experience are welcome to apply. This role is pivotal in amplifying our mission through creative and impactful content that engages our audience and reflects our core values. The consultant will bring expertise in social media management, graphic design, and video editing to help us effectively communicate our story.
Deliverables include:
- Designing up to 20 high-quality graphical posts per month for social media, ensuring alignment with Amna’s visual identity and core values.
- Editing videos and reels for social media channels, up to 5 per month, using software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
- Scheduling posts across social media platforms using Hootsuite, ensuring consistent and strategic content delivery.
- Uploading and managing content on Amna’s website using a web Content Management System (CMS), such as WordPress.
- Providing ad-hoc design support as needed, including infographics, reports, and digital marketing materials (2-3 per month).
- Collaborating closely with the communications team to develop and execute content strategies that raise awareness and foster engagement.
- Keeping up to date with social media trends, tools, and best practices to enhance Amna’s digital presence, engaging with comments and messages.
- Amna team will share briefs and provide text, creative direction and copy for each deliverable.
- The consultant will be also expected to be available for 1-2 check in meetings per week.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience managing social media platforms and developing visual content for social media, preferably in the non-profit or social impact sector.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
- Strong knowledge of WordPress or other CMS platforms.
- Experience in using social media management tools, such as Hootsuite, for scheduling and analytics.
- Interest in social impact, social justice, and working with communities affected by adversity, including displacement, war, conflict, poverty, abuse, or marginalization.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote working environment.
Desirable:
- Experience working with or for refugee or displaced communities.
- Additional language skills (Arabic, Dari, Pashtu or another language spoken by our partners and the communities we support).
Work Location and Environment:
This is a remote service contract opportunity open to applicants in the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA), and Asia. The consultant will be expected to coordinate with Amna’s communications head based in London.

You’ll be helping to launch and shape an innovative Health and Wellbeing Coaching & Social Prescribing Service based at St Georges Hospital within the Red Cell Pain Management & Psychology department and you will be employed by Merton Connected - Merton Social Prescribing. In this role, you will be at the heart of a life-changing initiative, working with patients affected by sickle cell disease and thalassemia. You’ll be helping them connect to vital community services, manage their health, and reduce isolation.
About the Role:
As a Health & Wellbeing Coach and Social Prescriber, you will:
- Use your coaching skills to support patients in developing self-management strategies, improving their health, and achieving personal goals.
- Help reduce clinical workload by linking patients with local non-clinical services such as social activities, education, housing, employment support, and more.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and local agencies to build a robust referral network, ensuring patients have access to comprehensive support.
- Play a vital role in promoting the benefits of social prescribing and coaching to both clinical staff and patients, fostering a personalised care approach.
You’ll be joining a team committed to making lasting improvements in health outcomes, helping patients regain control of their lives, and offering support that goes beyond traditional medical treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with individuals living with long-term health conditions and connect them with community-based services that address their holistic needs.
- Offer one-on-one coaching sessions, helping patients identify goals and build self-confidence in managing their health and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with local voluntary, social care, and health services to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Promote awareness of the social determinants of health, such as housing, employment, and social isolation, and help patients overcome these barriers.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and service delivery to contribute to evaluation and reporting.

What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking someone with:
- 2+ years of experience in health coaching, motivational interviewing, counselling or a similar framework that supports individuals in making health, lifestyle and other changes.
- A strong understanding of personalised care, person-centred approaches, and the ability to support self-management.
- Proven experience working in multi-disciplinary teams across health, social care, and community settings.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with a diverse range of people.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
