The purpose of this role is to lead on the commissioning and co-ordinating of compelling content to ensure growth of public support for its environmental mission as well as ensuring stakeholders are updated and inspired about their work. This role oversees audience engagement on social media channels, the web and newsletters. The post-holder has a strong focus on delivery to deadlines, as well as the development and execution of a global content strategy. Working closely with regional colleagues, the role will also ensure that there is effective distribution of content across their global network.

The successful candidate will bring excellent experience of content creation with significant editorial expertise to ensure compelling story-led content. You will have considerable experience in developing and executing successful content strategies across multiple channels with an excellent knowledge of the social media landscape, platforms, and how best to utilise these to grow audiences. The person we are looking for will:

• Have 10+ years of experience of People & Culture and DEIB experience, particularly in the non-profit/charity/social impact space. 

• Hold at least 5 years of experience in a legal counsel or similar role, advising on HR-related legal matters.

• Possess a Juris Doctor (JD) and be licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

• Have significant experience in nonprofit law, including the development, review, and negotiation of contracts, compliance with relevant regulations, and governance.

• Be a people-focused leader with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for fostering positive, inclusive workplaces.

• Be committed to actively cultivating a culture of equity, inclusion, and belonging in the workplace.

• Have a track record of successfully developing and implementing people strategies that align with organisational goals.

• Be a strategic thinker with the ability to balance day-to-day HR responsibilities with long-term cultural and organisational development goals.

• Have experience working in a global organisation, with an understanding of the complexities of international organisations, labour laws, and HR practices.

• Possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide sound legal advice in complex situations.

Lambeth Palace is the London home of the Archbishop of Canterbury, his family and two religious communities. It is the centre of his ministry, worship and hospitality.

The staff members at Lambeth Palace work as a small and close-knit team and support each other during busy periods with flexibility and good humour. You will be responsible for supporting the Chaplain to the Archbishop of Canterbury at an Executive Assistant level. This post gives an excellent opportunity of working in a small, friendly, busy office, in unusual and pleasant surroundings.

The role of the Chaplain at Lambeth Palace is to support the ministry to which God has called the Archbishop. This involves a wide variety of tasks, much of it behind the scenes. The Chaplain carries responsibility for pastoral and liturgical dimensions of the Archbishop's ministry in the Church of England, his speaking, publishing and award-giving commitments while leading on the Archbishop's first priority of the renewal of prayer and religious life.

He/she is also responsible for the pastoral care of those who work and/or live at Lambeth Palace - the 'community of communities' and the regular pattern of worship in its two chapels, in liaison with Chemin Neuf. He/she is also responsible on behalf of the Archbishop for liaison with the recently-founded Community of St Anselm.

Core Responsibilities

• Being aware and helping to deliver the Chaplain's objectives and views, and communicating these to external and internal parties, as well as maintaining discretion and confidentiality where necessary.
• Managing and prioritising communications with the Chaplain, whether by phone, e-mail, letter or in person, enabling him/her to achieve their objectives while ensuring timely responses.
• Dealing with the Chaplain's correspondence, including drafting replies to letters and emails, and where appropriate replying on their behalf. In addition to drafting briefs for the Archbishop's official engagements for which the Chaplain carries responsibility.
• Managing the Chaplain's diary, including booking rooms and offering hospitality where appropriate, and making travel arrangements.
• Organising the Chaplain's expenses and drafting budgets for the team.
• Receiving and greeting visitors, as required, on behalf of both the Chaplain and the Archbishop.

Key Requirements

• The role is primarily office based, however, there is some flexibility to all to allow for a degree of home working, specifically when there are no internal or external face-to-face meetings. This can be discussed once you have been appointed to the post.

About the role

The Donor Relations Officer is a key role within the Development Office at the University of London. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a best practice programme of stewardship, donor engagement and recognition for the University of London’s donors, ensuring sustainability and growth of the donor base. We now aim to expand our impact across the UK and deepen our engagement with churches from a wide range of Christian denominations, in accordance with our strategy.
 

Fundraising Consultancy Role

In order to achieve our objectives, we are seeking a Fundraising Consultant to develop and implement a strategy to:

• Diversify our funding base and raise new grants and donations to support our work;
• Raise specific funding to develop a small team of Regional Champions in the regions of the UK, working part-time to grow our network of Single Friendly Churches;
• Secure grant support to refresh our research in order to identify the issues facing single people in the Church and how ‘single friendly’ churches are across the UK.

The Fundraising Consultant will regularly engage with our UK based team and provide quarterly reports to our Trustees. Ideally the Consultant will have the necessary skills to process Gift Aid claims.

The target for funds raised within 12 months is £100K. This will require creativity and a range of initiatives, targeting different potential funding sources.
 

Person Spec:

• Experience of developing and implementing fundraising strategies for charities;
• Able to provide evidence of significant success in fundraising;
• Record of working collaboratively with teams;
• An understanding of Christian culture and the different Christian traditions;
• Experience of fundraising for Christian-based charities;

As the research lead you will be conducting exciting and innovative research projects and embedding a research culture across our organisation. You will be involved in campaigning for change and thought leadership activities within the borough and beyond.

The Research Coordinator will take forward some of our strategic goals around evidencing the causes of Foodbank use, participation work with those using Foodbank services and influencing work and practice across our Foodbank.
This role will be responsible for conducting primary research covering a range of areas to better understand the lived experience of people experiencing and at risk of food poverty, the causes of food poverty and solutions to ending food poverty and hunger. You will benefit from the established support network of other Trussell Trust Foodbanks conducting similar research programmes. What will I be doing?

• Oversee the provision of high quality, accessible and evidence-based health information including maintaining a good understanding of best practice

• Provide strategic direction for CRUK's health information priority topics to maximise impact across public facing channels including but not limited to health marketing, communications and partnerships

Switchboard’s listening service is available to all LGBTQIA+ communities in the UK. It offers a safe space for anyone to discuss anything, including topics such as sexuality, gender identity, sexual health, and emotional well-being and more. Handling over 17,000 conversations each year, their services continue to be in high demand, with their network of volunteers offering a vital service to people across the country in times of need, but also proving incredible insights into the issues that impact the LGBTQIA+ community the most.

Since 2021 the organisation has been on a journey to establish a staff team to oversee day-to-day operations within the charity. They are now looking to introduce this new role as they grow throughout 2024 to a team of 11.

This position is offered on a full-time, hybrid basis with 2 days working in the London office a week and the remaining flexibly from home.

The role:

This brand-new role sits within the staff team at Switchboard and reports directly to the Head of Volunteering and Training. The post will work closely with key volunteer-led operational teams. As the charity looks to cover its rota more effectively, they are working towards recruiting and training around 100 new volunteers in 2024, taking the total membership to around 350. This number will continue to grow each year, until they are able to handle ALL of the calls, IMs and emails the service receives.

With this in mind, Switchboard wants to ensure they not only retain new volunteers for a number of years, but that each volunteer books regular shifts, are looked after and feel welcomed and an important part of an active, vibrant and inclusive community.

This role reports into the Head of Volunteering and Training and oversees four main areas: volunteer socials, wellbeing initiatives, celebrations and EDI endeavours. This role is key to ensuring the charity retains, nurtures and engages volunteers within Switchboard, and that they create a community of volunteers which reflects the rich diversity of the wider LGBTQIA+ community.

This vital role will entail, delivering a range of in-person and online engagement events throughout the year, managing the Pride activations for 2025 and onwards, overseeing Switchboard’s programme of volunteer celebrations, managing wellbeing initiatives and ensuring Switchboard continues to celebrate being  a rich, diverse and inclusive organisation.

The person:

The successful candidate will have extensive experience of organising and producing social and professional events of all shapes and sizes. They will have strong exposure to EDI initiatives and will have a natural interest, or actual experience in promoting wellbeing in the work-place.

This person will have outstanding people skills as the soft skill aspects of this role will be absolutely critical to its success. It will be important that this person demonstrates a broad understanding of the issues and challenges people from the LGBTQIA+ community face in their everyday lives. Similarly, this person will need to appreciate that these issues and challenges will also be faced by Switchboard’s community of volunteers as a result.

You will have extensive experience of organising social gatherings in a professional or volunteering setting, both large and small, collating and analysing data to measure effectiveness & impact, managing third party supplier & contractor relationships, in addition to having a collaborative, communicative & empathetic approach to mobilising networks and driving forward levels of customer service and Volunteer experience.

This person will be comfortable with public speaking and engaging audiences, will be highly organised and above all, fully committed to the work of Switchboard, becoming a natural advocate for the organisation both internally and externally as a result. This person will need to be able to manage all in-person events, wherever they are based, so some locational flexibility will be required.
