Reporting to the Executive Director of the Latymer Foundation, you will evaluate and analyse data in order to assess Latymer’s social impact, including its bursary programme and partnership initiatives. With insights from this data, you will help inform next steps and strategy, working with key department leads across the School. The Latymer Foundation is a registered charity.
Salary: Up to £48k depending on experience.

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Wildlife team, within the Policy, Prevention and Campaigns Division, as a Senior Scientific and Policy Officer - Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation.
This role is essential for the RSPCA to further safeguard sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife and achieve the RSPCA's objective of securing better legal protection for wildlife in animal welfare establishments (wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centres).
Currently, anyone can set up a rescue/rehabilitation centre or sanctuary with no oversight. This can lead to these establishments becoming overwhelmed despite good intentions.
This role will develop and implement an advocacy strategy to achieve statutory regulation of these facilities, to protect the welfare of wild animals.
The post-holder will work closely with the Veterinary and Operations teams to ensure the RSPCA's rescue and rehabilitation standards are based on the latest scientific evidence.
This role will achieve measurable improvements in welfare standards and legal protections, reinforce the RSPCA's commitment to leading positive change and strengthen the Society's position as an influential leader in this field.
This role is being offered as a 24 month fixed term contract. We are open to flexible working options, such as part time hours and the role will be offered on a hybrid working basis; working from home and from our London and or Horsham office.

- Generate and maintain RSPCA policies, strategic aims, goals and objectives relating to sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife.

What makes a great Senior Scientific Officer- Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation?
To succeed within this role, it is essential that you have proven experience of liaising with civil servants, MPs and other members of the government.
You must have strong communication skills and the ability to juggle conflicting priorities, along with a strong background of working within policy.

Part of an award-winning Communication & Policy Department, our Scottish Empty Homes Partnership (SEHP) is a Scottish Government funded project aimed at enabling private sector empty homes to be brought back into use across Scotland.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs Accounts Payable function; processes transactions in the accounting system and maintains accounts payable files for vendors. Primary point of contact for questions and assistance regarding entry and payment of invoices.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Subject matter expert on Unit 4 ERP System Vendor Master File and accounts payable, provide support to other Internews staff also entering invoices.
- Prepare and enter multi-currency invoices for all payment methods (Barclays wire Transfers, ACH, check, FX, Western Union, etc.), including review for proper coding and approvals.
- Review and research open payables to resolve outstanding issues prior to payment.
- Process recurring remittances according to corporate schedule, including payment of invoices entered by others.
- Processing payments and Provide payment confirmations to appropriate parties as necessary.
- Maintain AP vendor master records in accounting system.
- Organize and maintain A/P files.
- Research vendor payment history in response to queries from Internews staff and others.
- Cross trained as backup staff to other department functions, including PSC payment processing and expense reimbursements and AP mailbox cover.
- Support of commitment accounting and purchase order monitoring
- Maintain Asset Register incl Additions and Disposal, Monthly Depreciation calculation and posting the journals into the accounting system.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations including Payroll and Bank Reconciliations before month-end close.
- Debtor and Creditor reconciliations and Advances (Cards) before month-end close
- Processing and posting Prepayments before month-end close.
- Income & Expenditure Recording in the accounting system
- Proving support during Statutory and Donor Audits
- Fixed Asset Management.

The Role
We are seeking a Schools Premises Officer to provide an effective and efficient administrative service to approximately 100 schools and ODBE in respect of the delivery of capital projects and property management.
This is a key role which will involve working with many different stakeholders across the Diocese, including external consultants, Head teachers, bursars, school business managers, Governing Bodies and their representatives.
About You

The Role

Their experience should include managing large, multi-year programmatic budgets exceeding $5 million and ensuring adherence to donor agreements and regulatory requirements, such as those of the Charity Commission.

The NILS pilot has already lent over £10 million to more than 13,000 financially vulnerable people, demonstrating the positive impact of affordable credit. This is a unique opportunity to lead a multi-million-pound programme through its final stages and oversee its strategic scaling for long-term sustainability.
The scheme is currently funded by HM Treasury, JP Morgan, and Fair4All Finance. We are looking for an experienced senior lead with a background in both commercial delivery and business case development, fluent in working with the public sector, mainstream finance, and civil society to oversee the final stages of the pilot delivery and to take charge of scaling up NILS.

The coalition
Send My Friend to School is a UK civil society coalition of international development NGOs, teachers’ unions and charities.
It brings together young people, politicians, teachers, civil society and the media in joint campaigning to demand quality education for all children across the globe. Each year thousands of schools and young people take part in the campaign, teaching young people the power and importance of using their voices in chorus with others across the globe to create positive change.
Send My Friend to School is the UK coalition of the Global Campaign for Education movement which is present in over 90 countries around the world.
Location
This role will be employed by Send My Friend to School Steering Group member Results UK, on behalf of the Send My Friend to School coalition, and will be based in Results UK’s office near Waterloo. Hybrid working is in place whereby staff are required to work from the office at least 2 days a week.
Terms & Conditions
This is a full time (35 hours per week), permanent post, with a 3 month probation period. This pivotal role will address a significant gap in the protection and welfare of animals used in entertainment and media. Tens of thousands of animals are featured in films, television shows, advertisements, often facing substandard treatment and welfare conditions. Despite public concern, current legal and industry safeguards remain inadequate.
The creation of this new role within the RSPCA, is not only vital for addressing current deficiencies in animal welfare within the entertainment industry but also reinforces the RSPCA's commitment to leading positive change.
This role will drive forward critical initiatives, ensuring that the welfare needs of animals are prioritised and protected, reflecting the values and expectations of society.
This role is being offered as a 24 month fixed term contract. We are open to flexible working options, such as part time hours and the role will be offered on a hybrid working basis; working from home and from our London and or Horsham office.

What a day might look like for you:
As our Senior Scientific and Policy Officer - Animals in Entertainment & the Media, you will develop and implement a strategic plan to raise industry standards, improve legal protection, and shift public attitudes to improve the welfare of animals used in these industries.
The role is situated in the RSPCA's Wildlife Department but the scope of the work includes all animals, including companion animals, so you will work collaboratively across several departments.
You can find a full description of what the role entails on the attached role profile but in a nutshell, we will look to you to:
- Generate and maintain RSPCA policies, strategic aims, goals and objectives relating to animals in entertainment and the media.
- Develop and implement a strategic influencing plan to improve industry standards, legal protection, and public attitudes towards animals in entertainment and the media
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including those in the entertainment industry, animal welfare organisations, and regulatory bodies, and represent the RSPCA in advocacy coalitions to achieve the RSPCA's goals and objectives.
- Prepare and deliver evidence-based briefing papers, policy reports, position statements, articles, and press releases.
- Work with RSPCA colleagues to ensure RSPCA standards are based on the latest scientific evidence and best practices.
- Undertake media interviews as the RSPCA's lead spokesperson on animal welfare in entertainment.
- Stay up-to-date on animal welfare science, legislation, ethics, and industry developments.
What makes a great Senior Scientific and Policy Officer - Animals in Entertainment & the Media?
To succeed within this role, it is essential that you have:
- A degree level qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Strong relationship building, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Proven experience of high level influencing and setting the strategic direction for advocacy on animal welfare issues.
- An ability to build and utilise networks of contacts effectively and to work in coalition with others.
- Broad knowledge of animal welfare issues and specific knowledge and experience relating to animals specific to the post.
- Expertise in developing compelling policies, shaping agendas and working in coalition to achieve change.
- Experience of translating policy and research into change through advocacy, and a strong track record of driving policy change with national and local governments.
- Excellent research and writing skills with the ability to effectively condense, summarise and make sense of large amounts of information quickly, pulling out salient points and spotting potential weaknesses or problems.

Who you are
A talented operator who has experience in the commercial world of hospitality (catering and licensed), retail experience would be a bonus, either within a Students’ Union or a high street operator.
You will have held roles where you can demonstrate a vast knowledge of operating commercial outlets whilst controlling costs, managing margins, and delivering great operating standards.
Understanding the market is key as you’ll be helping our member students’ unions to interpret current trends and develop them into successful action within member commercial operations.
Having a good eye for detail and understanding the need for compliance comes easy to you, along with the skill to challenge where non-compliance may be apparent, so you’ll have strong interpersonal and influencing skills and be a good communicator.
