About The Role
The Help for Heroes Community Development team are looking to recruit a team of Community Builders to assist in their reshaped participation and connection strategy. Using Asset Based Community Development, we seek to support the charity’s objective to enhance reach and positive impact for members of the Armed Forces Community facing challenges within their local communities.

We are looking for a motivated, dynamic and confident people who are passionate about collaborating with communities in the design and delivery of interventions that bring and connect people together to strengthen networks within the local community. Working closely with Community Development Managers across regions within the UK, the Community Builders will play a vital role in helping to improve lives for Armed Forces Community members by creating a supportive environment that allows them to re-engage and connect with the services at Help for Heroes and with the wider community.
The main purpose of this role is to connect local people through their skills, passions and assets and support the creation of new connections, bringing people together to improve wellbeing and make the community a better place to live. This will include listening to different points of views, building relationships and motivating people to work together and create their own action influenced by their interests and skillsets to positively impact local communities and help them to flourish.
About You
You will have experience leading and facilitating the mobilisation of local communities, asset mapping, bringing together people for engagement that matters to them. You will have knowledge and experience of Asset Based Community Development work, outreach methods and you will have good organisational skills, energy and the ability to animate local communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outreach to drive local connection, engagement and participation opportunities for the AFC
- Develop and embed an ABCD informed way of work

- Organise and facilitate community meetings to share ideas, encourage collective decision making and build a sense of belonging
- Encourage and pilot community lead action in response to local AFC needs/interests through peer led/co-designed initiatives

PLEASE NOTE: The successful candidates will need to be based within an hour’s commute of their allocated locality and there is a requirement to travel within a 75-mile radius of this location (travel expenses covered). Flexibility in working hours is necessary to ensure a total of 70 hours is covered over a 2-week period so please take this into consideration before applying.
We are looking for someone with the following:
- A Community Development qualification and/or at least 3 years' experience working within a community development or similar role, with responsibility for bringing about social change and improving quality of life
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop relationships which lead to actions
- Demonstrable experience within an integrated multi-disciplinary service
- Experience of engaging and working collaboratively with partners/stakeholders
About the Team
You will work as part of the Community Development team; this newly formed team will approach working in defined localities using an asset based community development approach. Together the Community Development Managers and the Community Builders will strengthen local communities using resources and networks that are readily available. You will do this to proliferate opportunities for sustainable participation and engagement alongside a multi-disciplinary team in order to support the Armed Forces Community to live well after service.

About CoppaFeel!
CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.
We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.
Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.
About the role
It’s been an exciting year for the CoppaFeel! Marketing team; we’ve had a brand refresh, onboarded new agencies, launched award winning campaigns and grown a partnership with Love Island. And it’s all been in the name of our mission; to ensure all breast cancers are diagnosed early and accurately in young people.
We are looking for an exceptional Head of Marketing to lead our Marketing team, help shape the direction of and oversee our 2025 campaign, and collaborate with other Heads of Departments to deliver CoppaFeel!’s three year organisational strategy.
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office 2 days per week. You will be required to attend the office for quarterly team meetings, department meetings and in person training, we will provide plenty of notice for when you are required to be in for these purposes.
Duties and Responsibilities

We’re looking for an Enterprise Manager to join our London & South East regional team. You will cover waterways from the busy Regents Canal, Lee Navigation, parts of the Grand Union Canal and Oxford Canal. Our miles of canal provide active travel corridors, opportunities for our communities to improve their wellbeing and blue-green wildlife habitats.
As Enterprise Manager, you will secure external funding through partnerships and bid writing, and support delivery of projects which ‘transform places and enrich lives’. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to develop potential projects in line with our strategic priorities and be responsible for securing funding to make them happen. You will support our Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle from inception to closure in line with the Trust’s financial reporting process, acting as first point of contact for external funders throughout. You will also act as point of contact and support project development for third parties carrying out active travel and public realm improvements on our land.
At any given time, you will hold a portfolio of varied projects, from towpath and access improvements, as well as habitat improvements, community engagement and heritage conservation.
Location
The role will be based working from home, with the allocation of a nearby Hub for collaborative working in Little Venice. Travel required within the region for site visits, media calls, social media moments, events and meetings.
It is therefore essential that you are able to effectively work from home, whilst also having the flexibility to be mobile when necessary.

About you:
This role is based with our London & Southeast team, and we are looking for someone with particular experience and developed networks across this region.Our successful Enterprise Manager may previously have worked in roles such as Partnerships Manager, Development Manager, Fundraising Manager, Partnerships & Fundraising Manager, and will ideally have good knowledge and confidence in identifying and successfully bidding for project funding via government departments, regional agencies, statutory funders, and charitable trusts. Prior experience of statutory funded active travel schemes is desirable.

Magic Breakfast provide a nutritious and filling breakfast to over 200,000 children and young people every school day. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target the children most in need without barrier or stigma.
Magic Breakfast are ambitious to grow our impact to remove hunger as a barrier to learning for all children and young people in the UK. To do this, we need to continue to grow our fundraised income, of which new corporate income is a significant element.
JOB PURPOSE
We are seeking a Salesforce expert who is looking for an exciting opportunity to play an instrumental part in the implementation and ongoing development of Magic Breakfast’s technology and data transformation. The South East Rivers Trust (SERT) has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who is keen to gain more experience in river and catchment enhancement work - making a positive, lasting difference to the aquatic environment in the south east of England.
The Role
The Water and Land Stewardship Team (W&LS) lead the identification and delivery of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) to improve rivers and catchments across the South East. Through evidence, stakeholder engagement and on-the-ground experience, this new senior role will lead and develop NbS project opportunities. You will aim for impact, scale and collaboration.
You will be responsible for delivering projects to scale up NbS across the SERT area, and lead the ‘South East demos’ for the Ofwat Innovation Mainstreaming Nature-based Solutions project, a flagship five-year innovation project with water industry partners across the UK. Working with colleagues at SERT to deliver NbS measures on the ground will give you the opportunity to make a real difference, using this to help regulators and policy makers address barriers and build enablers for NbS at scale.
You will lead walkovers, report on project opportunities identified, and develop projects on the ground, including natural flood management, riparian corridor enhancement and land management to increase catchment resilience. You will work closely with land managers to co-design feasible NbS options delivering multiple benefits. Your recommendations will be informed by data and evidence, and part of your role will be contributing to the effective collation of this across the Trust and the region. This will include identifying and reviewing nature market opportunities including through Biodiversity Net Gain, water resource, natural flood management and water quality, and you will look to capitalise on these opportunities and find ways to combine them with public funding (e.g. developing agri-environment schemes) to develop blended funding approaches. Working with our regional water companies, you will use your understanding of their drivers and processes to find ways of delivering more nature-based solutions with them in our catchments, building on existing relationships and projects within the Trust and the wider Rivers Trust movement.
Crucially, you will take a collaborative partnership approach, building close relationships with our regional water companies, farmer clusters and other NGOs as well as regulators and local authorities, and provide a vision for these stakeholder groups to drive improvement of our rivers and catchments.
This role is varied and allows for an individual to take ownership for their own projects, seeking and developing resolutions whilst working collaboratively with several organisations and individuals, as well as learn new skills and grow within a supported environment. You will be personable and inquisitive, enjoy working with evidence, be able to explain technical concepts in simple terms, engage positively with partners, and be passionate about rivers and the environment.
While the role covers the entire SERT area, we expect to develop a geographic focus towards either the East (Sussex, Kent) or West (Hampshire, Berkshire, Surrey).

As a charity, the DofE’s fundraising team plays a crucial role in achieving these outcomes and we are currently looking for a Business Support Manager who will support the fundraising team and their colleagues in the wider Strategy and Engagement team, to hit ambitious growth targets.
The primary focus of your role will be to support the Fundraising Director in leading and supporting a high performing team. This includes assistance with planning, performance monitoring and administrative support to support the effective operational running of the Fundraising department and the Strategy and Engagement team. You will also lead and manage a small (and potentially growing) Business Support team to assist you with this important work.

What we are looking for
- Administrative experience including capturing and sharing meeting actions.
- Experience of successfully supporting business objectives by working closely with a wide range of stakeholders and delivering efficient and effective business processes.
- Experience of people management and managing a wider range of senior stakeholders such as senior managers, donors, external partners or volunteers.
- Experience of using HR, CRM or and financial management systems.
- Knowledge of project management principles.
- Ability to spot opportunities to develop and implement improved processes.
- Knowledge and experience of ICT systems (Microsoft Office) and their practical use in supporting an effective business operation’s.
- Able to make objective decisions and delegate appropriately.
- You will be required to attend the London office once/twice per week.
