Location

The team works across all areas of the organisation to improve processes, unlock efficiencies through automation and generate insights from data. They ensure that data is utilised to inform any innovations or refinements to our services.
The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial manager with a high level of data literacy. We are looking for someone strategic, highly organised and a strong people and team manager. They will be confident at communicating data in a variety of ways to a large range of audiences, identifying key take-aways and the broader implications of the findings on our clients and programming. They will also be able to train others in key data analysis and communication skills.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Supporting the area Field Organiser, in their work with groups of local people in and around small towns across the county in which they are based, this role will both organise and mobilise members of the public to take actions supportive of overseas aid and international development, including the climate crisis. We are excited to be recruiting a Philanthropy Manager to join our Fundraising Team. This is a new role which will be instrumental in setting us up well to grow income from major donors over the coming years. We are looking for an experienced major donor fundraiser, who can bring their skills and expertise to take this strand of fundraising to the next level. The role is being recruited on a fixed term basis, with a possibility to convert it to a permanent post after 12 months, subject to performance.
The Philanthropy Manager will build relationships and secure funding from high-net-worth individuals, working closely with the Director of Philanthropy, CEO, and a newly established fundraising committee to develop this area of fundraising. About the role
This role will be responsible leading on the digital communications and content strategy focussing on developing fundraising messaging and digital influencing campaigns in an integrated way across all related channels to drive forward our ambitious fundraising and campaigns plans.
As part of the award-winning Fundraising and Brand team at Refugee Action, you will help create and implement bespoke supporter journeys across multiple online platforms with the aim of significantly raising our online presence, increasing donations, inspiring change and supporting the organisation’s growth. The Senior Legal Advisor will provide high quality commercial contract drafting; advice and assistance to support the Personal Support (PS) Service Teams with the tendering and contracting process; working with different Commissioning Authorities of Social Care Services; and with the provision of suitable housing agreements
The Senior Legal Advisor will be required to review the tenders and contract terms in relation to the majority of PS contracts , some of which are multi million pound framework agreements, and put in place Direct Funding Contracts. In relation to Housing arrangements, the candidate will review and advise on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Housing Management Agreements (HMAs) with Housing Associations and other Housing Providers.
Qualifications required:
For this role you would need to be a Solicitor or Barrister qualified to practise in England (or comparable jurisdiction) preferably holding a practising certificate. Previous in-house experience would be viewed positively.

As a Lasting Power of Attorney and Continuing Healthcare Coordinator, you will join a small team to provide high-quality information and support to ensure the delivery and maintenance of two separate services the LPA Digital Assistance Service and NHS CHC Appeals Service. You will be providing support to people affected by dementia to access the Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA) Digital Assistance Service. Through a series of telephone calls, you will help people affected by dementia and their families to navigate and simplify this complicated process by offering information and support to complete the forms required to create and register a Lasting Power of Attorney.
As part of the Continuing Healthcare Appeals service, you will be working alongside our NHS CHC volunteering group to provide support to people affected by dementia with their appeal over the telephone and email. As well as a listening ear you will be gathering and recording information from the client and helping them identify the necessary documentation and evidence ready to pass to a volunteer for longer-term support.
This role will require you to build relationships with the dementia support line team, local services, and the dementia support forum. You will network to promote both services to help people get referred to the service as early as possible. Magic Breakfast is a registered charity that exists to make sure no child or young person is too hungry to learn. JOB PURPOSE
Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good the Philanthropy team’s role is to develop and deliver the charity's high net worth individual giving programme in line with Magic Breakfast’s strategic priorities to enable our organisational growth against our mission.
We are seeking to grow income through further cultivation and stewardship of our potential and existing donors. Our High Value Giving teams are forecast to collectively raise £5.1m in 2021/22, up from £4.6m two years ago in 2019/20. The team includes partnerships with charitable trusts and foundations, corporate organisations, and high-net-worth individuals.
Reporting into the Head of Philanthropy, this role will have a particular focus on ensuring that Magic Breakfast is offering the highest quality of donor care from start to finish, and building and developing our prospect pipeline.
We’re looking for a proactive person with excellent relationship building, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship skills as we seek to build our prospect pool, enhance or supporter journey and achieve our ambitious fundraising targets.
The Philanthropy Manager will have the opportunity to be innovative and creative, to create and test impactful donor journeys and engagement opportunities so Magic Breakfast’s supporters feel valued and can understand the transformational difference they are making to hungry children and their learning in the UK.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Income generation and donor stewardship and prospect development

Manage your own portfolio of donors, providing excellent stewardship and strategies to uplift and secure multi year donations

Work with Corporate, Trusts and Individual Giving teams to identify potential major donors and high value regular givers within Magic Breakfast’s donor portfolio and implement plans to develop these relationships;

Write accurate, inspiring and compelling fundraising propositions and reports for potential and existing major donors
