As Director of Services and Grants, you will be responsible for ensuring that our multi-channel services and grants programme serve and improve the lives of older people, reach those who are most likely to be in poverty, and have the maximum impact. You will help us grow our capacity, build our network of charity and commercial partnerships, develop our external training offer, and reach more people including those groups most likely to experience financial hardship.
Having operated at a senior level, ideally as part of a Senior Leadership Team, you will be an inspiring leader with a demonstrable passion for our cause. Experienced in successfully managing service transformation and development, including in a contact centre environment, you will also have an understanding of grants programmes, and of building strategic partnerships and national networks. With an understanding of demonstrating and reporting on impact, experience of supporting fundraising for services and bidding for contracts, you will ideally also have knowledge of developing an external training offer.

This is a full-time role, 35 hours per week, which you can choose to work over five days a week or a 9-day fortnight.

Change Mental Health is a leading national mental health charity providing unique support to people with severe and enduring mental ill health. In this critical role you will work closely with the Co-Investigator (Jim Hume, Director of Public Affairs & Communications) to ensure effective and impactful delivery of all project outputs and outcomes. The position is a multi-agency project employed by Change Mental Health and will be working in partnership with NHS Highland Public Health, High Life Highland, Museums Heritage Highland, Highland third sector organisations, local community groups and the academic research team.
Our Project Coordinator will engage very closely with regional and local community members, setting up and chairing groups where required in partnership with the wider research team, researching process and impact, developing a toolkit, and disseminating findings via events and online media and communication.
The position requires travel throughout the Highlands. Therefore we are looking for the candidate to be based in the highlands, or in Edinburgh (at our National Office).
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage the regional stakeholder group; organise and attend the group meetings, deputising for the Co-Investigator (Director of Public Affairs and Communications at Change Mental Health, Jim Hume) as required.
- Proactively assist in the set-up and management of the local co-design stakeholder groups in partnership with the research team; help with engaging local communities, networking and recruiting group members; liaise with Museums Heritage Highland and High Life Highland (providing venues).
- Chairing the co-design stakeholder groups and organising all the meetings.
- Organise online forums for the co-design groups to share experiences, which includes deputising for the Co-Investigator as required.
- Contribute fully and proactively to: (i) project research, for example by giving feedback on the co-design process; (ii) development of the project toolkit; and (iii) recording of project impacts.
- Dissemination of findings as required at multiple stages throughout the project including at the project’s conclusion, which will include leading the organisation of two dissemination events.
- Proactively assist with the setting up of the project website, ensuring website design and maintenance is kept within budget; managing and updating the project website.
- Contribute to communications and publicity, including updates/email bulletins, regular website updates.
- Contribute to and identify others to write blogs, ensure events and project news are publicised
General Duties:
- Acting in accordance with Data Protection legislation. Ensure all records, personal, staff and client data are managed in line with Data Management and Information Governance policies.
- Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements such as provisions set out in the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
- Acting in accordance with the charity’s Health & Safety and Safeguarding policies and to notify your line manager promptly if there are any concerns.

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. In 2024 we embarked on our new 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.
It is an exciting and important time to be joining us at Crisis. We work with thousands of people across England, Scotland, and Wales so they can leave homelessness behind for good. RJ4All is looking for an innovative UK Operations Director who will drive impactful social justice projects and community initiatives while fostering strategic growth and income generation. You will oversee our dynamic UK-based operations out of the Rotherhithe Community Centre, work closely with the Director, and lead our Centre-based team.
Restorative Justice for All (RJ4All) is a charitable, user-led international institute with expertise in preventing and addressing harm at the individual, community and inter-state levels. We are one of the world’s leading experts in transferring complex criminological and social justice concepts into practice through real-life pilots and community projects.
The UK Operations Director will lead on the delivery, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of RJ4All’s UK-based services, and especially those run from the RJ4All Rotherhithe Community Centre. It is expected that they will generate income for the UK operations and contribute to new ideas for UK-based projects that fall within RJ4All’s agreed strategy. Finally, the post holder will act in place of the Director when they are unavailable or for any other agreed reason.
This post requires leadership and strong ethical commitment to RJ4All’s core values and vision, independence balanced against organisational priorities and focus. About the Role:
As Practice Lead you will have primary responsibility for supporting LHPs in The Midlands but will also be involved in other areas of work. You will support staff in LHPs to create an environment where young people transition to adulthood in a positive and supported way. You will work with the Care Leavers National Movement as well as the core team to ensure that young people continue to drive their own LHP and develop practice at both a local and national level.

About the organisation:

The initiative, co-designed with young people, began by asking, "What makes a house a home?” Local House Projects in England and Scotland help care leavers transition into permanent tenancies, fostering a supportive community. The charity has helped over 450 young people successfully move into their own homes, with no evictions or tenancy breakdowns, ensuring a secure start for their futures.
