We are looking for a Corporate Performance and Reporting Manager in our Clerk of the Parliament’s Office at the House of Lords. This is an exciting opportunity to use your strong analytical skills and flair for communicating and engaging a range of stakeholders, to drive progress against our strategic objectives and report on our performance.

This is a hybrid working opportunity where you will work on-site at Parliament 3 days per week, with 2 days per week working remotely. This is a fantastic role for someone who enjoys working with varied and high volumes of data, can build strong relationships across a large organisation and can work in a fast-paced, unique environment.

You’ll be accountable for –

• Acting as operational lead for the Administration’s approach to corporate performance management, including the implementing and reviewing of the House’s performance management framework.
• Building partnerships with Heads of Office, service leads and others across the House to embed, co-ordinate and continuously improve performance metrics and baseline performance.
• Providing a leading voice in the co-production of the quarterly performance report to the Management Board and Finance Committee.
• Embedding performance measuring and reporting approaches that meet the best functional standards, using a range of management data to provide accessible and actionable insights.
• Working with other colleagues across Parliament to help to ensure that other performance monitoring processes allow for comparison.
• Working with Parliamentary Digital Service, and the House of Commons to develop common practices for Corporate Performance Management across Parliament.

What we’re looking for

• Corporate Performance Management knowledge including relevant experience of corporate performance management and corporate governance processes.
•  Strong Analytical Skills including the ability to gather and interpret complex information from a range of sources with differing data quality, visualising data to present the data in a meaningful way to both technical & non-technical audiences.
• Communication Skills such as the ability to find accessible, insightful and creative ways to present data in order to support the production of timely, credible and concise reports through a range of delivery modes.
• Building stakeholder relationships, with experience of developing effective working relationships and working collaboratively across a range of stakeholders in a complex environment, including with senior managers.
• Personal effectiveness with excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage your own time and deal effectively with conflicting demands.
• Organisation and forward planning including experience of planning schedules of work and liaising with others to ensure deadlines are set, maintained, and met.

About the role

This is an awesome role focussed on improving our ways of working and processes when it comes to those who support us. We want all of our supporters to have a first class experience when they decide to donate their time and/or money to supporting children and young people with cancer and their families. However we know that as an organisation we have more to do to make this happen and the time is now.

Working in Income Generation, this role will take a recently conducted diagnostic carried out by a business improvement consultant and not only work through the next steps but make change happen, prioritising the areas with the biggest wins. This role really will have a lasting legacy in the organisation.

We're not just looking for someone to map change, this person will lead operational design and process re-engineering that transforms the Income Generation directorate and it's workforce into high achievers. 

You’ll be based within the Project Management Office (PMO), a supportive team of professionals that lead transformational change across the organisation as well as corporate planning. You’ll also have close relationship with the Head of Planning and Strategy in Income Generation as well as the Associate Director Supporter Engagement.

What will I be doing?

No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.

• Building on the diagnostics carried out already within Income Generation directorate to optimise organisational design and scope improvements. 
• Using the diagnostics to identify pain areas, develop a sequenced plan to tackle these issues and then implement the plan to improve performance, processes and services i.e. “getting hands dirty”.
• Embedding a culture of improvement in the organisation and developing these capabilities within the workforce.
• All of these activities will involve facilitating workshops, engaging audiences with tailored communications, debating and negotiating ideas with leaders, managing governance, risks and dependencies, evaluating progress etc. 

What do I need? 

The key skills we’re looking for in this role are:

• Experience of delivering transformational change by using process improvement principles & methodologies such as TQM, Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma to design services and processes that deliver value, efficiency, higher quality, lower costs and better results
• Ability to do big picture thinking and drive the change that is needed, don’t sit back and react to the change that is happening.
• Challenging directly with assertive communication style balanced with caring deeply through consultative and listening skills. 
• Being curious,  looking beyond the obvious to get the real picture.
• Being proactive to get stuff done but in a flexible way, not being tied to a solution and having a healthy dose of pragmatism
• Strong analytical and evaluation skills.
• Creative thinker and ability to encourage innovation amongst colleagues
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and make smart decisions with limited information and changing priorities as well as support people to define issues.

Essential criteria:

• Experience of reporting financial information, including explaining finance concepts to non-financial people;
• Previous or current experience working in the property or housing sector.

• Good systems experience, both of finance systems and operational systems, and be quick to pick up new ones;
• Qualified member of a recognised accounting body

Youth Action Wiltshire (YAW) is the youth arm of the award-winning charity Community First. We are looking for someone to manage the suite of YAW services, including Young Carers services, Splash, employability work, Youth Clubs Support and young people’s mental health programmes including BeMindful. You will oversee operations, plan, develop and implement a strategy for operational growth and development across Youth Action Wiltshire services. As part of the Community First Leadership team you will also contribute to the strategic development of Community First to meet the charity’s objectives and Business Plan.

You will have relevant experience of successfully managing high quality youth support services, experience of motivating and supervising staff and volunteers. A successful track record of fundraising, service development and delivery, budget management and report writing. The Role

The CEO will be accountable to the Board of Trustees for the overall strategic management, leadership, and development of BCD and achievement of the overall strategic objectives. Duties will include:

• Representing BCD as an active member of the Leeds Domestic Violence Service (LDVS) strategic group and support the LDVS operational management team.
• Overseeing complex projects and their successful delivery to time and target.
• Taking overall responsibility for the recruitment, management, supervision, training and development of all staff and volunteers.
• Leading on the overall fundraising strategy, identifying growth targets and quarterly income projections and leading on the appropriate use of reserves.
