As the Finance and Operations Director & Deputy Chief Executive, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring that Pharmacist Support is financially sustainable and operationally efficient. What we do
Time & Talents is a lively, busy community centre in the heart of Rotherhithe, SE16. Set in a leafy heritage building, and ‘T&T2’, our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, we offer something for everyone. With a history of 137 years of supporting people of all ages in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, we bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship, with a wide range of services and activities for older people and other adults, along with volunteering and children and families’ projects. Since resuming services post-Covid, we have realized the needs and wants of the community have shifted from our previous offer. We have a strong Community Development programme to connect with and rebuild our offer, including some big changes to pre-Covid ways of working. Building on a strong track record, we intend to continue working with the community to deliver activities and events that meet local needs while also providing opportunities for fun and friendship. Our community offer includes activities connecting children to nature and tackling food insecurity; accessible community fitness and wellbeing activities; and intergenerational activities and events. We are re-developing our offer whilst staying focused on our aims: ensuring that everyone feels part of a community and that no one is isolated or lonely. The role
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
• Strategic development and oversight of community programmes for children, adults and across multiple generations
• Leadership and line management of team; oversight of sessional facilitators and contractors used by team
• Setting programme budget and service targets; monitoring and evaluation to ensure delivery against these
• Playing a key part in building, broadening and developing new funding for these programmes and maintaining relationships with current funders
• Lead role in planning and execution of community events
• Development of corporate partnerships and CSR relationships
• Responsibility for general outward communications, including social media
• Contributing to the wider organisation as a member of the Senior Management Team
• Acting as Deputy Safeguarding Lead
About you
You have a track record of developing and delivering excellent community programmes in the third sector. You’re a seasoned team leader with experience of change management. You have an outwardlooking approach and are passionate about building programmes with community buy-in. You’re flexible, accountable, take responsibility, are highly organised and skilled in multitasking and balancing priorities. You have experience of fundraising and maybe other types of income generation. You have strong relationship building skills – internally and externally - and build trust and credibility easily. You are passionate about the power of community to connect and support people.

MediCinema is a unique national, UK registered charity that improves the wellbeing and enriches the quality of life of NHS patients, their families and carers through the power of the shared cinema experience and the magic of film. We achieve this by building and running cinemas in hospitals and places of care equipped with space for beds, wheelchairs and medical equipment, and providing free films and activities for patients of all ages. The Role
We are looking for a Deputy Cinema Manager to join the existing team at the Chelsea&Westminster Hospital in London, working closely with CW+, the official charity of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The roleholder will also be required to provide cover to our other London-based MediCinemas at Guys and St Thomas’s Hospitals.
The post-holder will work with the Cinema Manager and the team of nurses and volunteers who support our MediCinema, and will work closely with them, the hospital, and with central office operations team to prepare for and run successful film screenings each week.
We run 4 regular inpatient screenings each week which includes evenings and weekends. The roleholder will be required to work on a shift pattern to include weekends and evenings each week. There will also be a programme of additional Tailored and Personal screenings on top of these regular inpatient screenings.
The role offers a unique, exciting and extremely rewarding opportunity for someone interested in a service delivery role at the heart of our charity, involving direct contact with the patients and families we support.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Service Delivery
• Support the Cinema Manager in delivering a programme of screenings each week as agreed according to the operating procedures of a MediCinema, including running and managing screenings on your own. Most screenings are held in the evenings and at weekends so the role requires regular evening and Saturday working.
• On screening days be responsible for:
o Marketing the service through the hospital’s wards, organising collecting and returning patients, and for safety and care in the cinema itself.
o Taking responsibility for health and safety of patients coming to the cinema, and the safety and appearance of the cinema space itself.
o Preparing and operating the digital projection equipment for the screening, ensuring that films are screened to the highest technical standards at all times. Training and ongoing technical support will be provided for this.
o Ensuring that all operational, welfare and safeguarding policies set out by MediCinema are followed accordingly and that, where appropriate, consent forms are obtained for photographic or filmed records.
o Ensuring that all aspects of the operation comply with relevant health and safety legislation, and that areas where MediCinema might be in breach of such are dealt with immediately or brought to the attention of the appropriate authorities for rectification.
o Keeping accurate monitoring and operational records, including contacts and database updating as required
• Help the Cinema Manager collate, analyse and report back on agreed metrics and KPI’s
• Assist with arranging and running any special events and special screenings
• When required, arrange and run additional personal screenings for patients unable to attend regular screenings, plus special tailored screenings with particular hospital departments and patient groups.
• Support the development and roll out of any new type of screenings we embark on.
• Support the delivery of our complementary bedside services, such as our Disney ‘Moments that Matter’ work.
Nurse & Volunteer Management
• Help the Cinema Manager build, manage and support the team of nurses and volunteers to assist in the duties outlined above and to ensure that screenings run safely and smoothly – this will include assisting with recruitment and creating monthly rotas.
Marketing and Relationship Management
• Be proactive in marketing the service within the hospital, building key relationships with hospital staff and members of CW+.
• Help develop and manage effective partnerships throughout the hospital and community
• Representing the organisation effectively and compellingly at all times.
• Support the programming and development of the MediCinema as a centre for entertainment, being pro-active in developing a creative programme of sustainable events at each site. This could include fundraising events, live performance and other relevant activities.
Administration and other duties
• Deputise for the Cinema Manager as and when required.
• Provide holiday or emergency screening cover when required.
• Help manage the collection, loading and returning of films.
• Champion the work of MediCinema within the hospital and cinema environment, as well as confidently and positively representing MediCinema in all interactions and at any meetings and events.
• Contribute to the strategic development of the Chelsea&Westminster MediCinema, operations and MediCinema as a wider organisation
• Communicate effectively with all team members, ensuring an inclusive and whole organisation approach

Senior Programmes Officer: Local First

As Senior Programmes Officer you will closely with our peacebuilding partners to help deliver an ambitious new programme of work. Role Description
We are looking for a senior leader, with extensive experience in education project and/or programme management, who can lead a fast-growing team within a mission-driven organisation. You will be a core member of the Executive Leadership Team, in particular working closely with the interim CEO, the Chief Operations Officer, the Director of Impact and the charity’s Senior Programmes Leaders. You will have direct exposure to the Board of Trustees and the unique opportunity to fundamentally shape the organisation and its direction.
The Chief Programmes Officer will be responsible for all aspects of programme delivery, including providing strategic direction and day-to-day oversight of the programmes delivery team, business development and stakeholder management with new partners in further education, and reviewing and improving delivery across all our programmes. You will work closely with the Director of Impact to refine and implement our approach to programme quality and impact to ensure we are providing the most effective programmes for the students we support. Main Duties and Responsibilities
Executive Leadership
- Working closely with the CEO, the Chief Operations Officer and the Director of Impact to provide overall leadership for the organisation, deliver the organisation’s new five-year strategy, and embed its values.
- Regularly updating the board on programme delivery and developments through participation in full Board and subcommittee meetings.
- Deputising for the CEO as needed, internally or externally, representing Get Further in public forums, with senior stakeholders, and with external organisations.
Business development and sales:
- Planning, leading and engaging in sales activity to ensure Get Further meets its goals for growth in terms of college partnerships and student numbers and secures new partnerships in key regions and areas for expansion.
- Line managing Senior Programmes Leaders, supporting their development and the delivery of KPIs with regards to college sales and renewals.
- Working closely with the Senior Marketing and Communications Officer to ensure a joined-up and impactful approach to sales and marketing, including through conference attendance and participation, social media, webinars.
Programme delivery:
- Strategic leadership of the Programmes Team (currently a team of 10 full-time staff), including ensuring that the team has the culture, working environment and professional development opportunities to ensure they are well-equipped to deliver high quality programmes and to meet our delivery KPIs.
- Overseeing efficient delivery of every aspect of each programme cycle, from liaising with the Chief Operations Officer to set and ensure achievement of targets for recruiting and training tutors, to leading the team to deliver on tuition logistics (including clear and timely student, tutor and college communications), and reporting on our impact to our partners in further education, ensuring programmes are high-quality and impactful for students and partners.
- Identifying and rolling out developments to programme delivery that help to improve our ways of working at scale, to enable the team to deliver now and in the future.
Programme quality and impact:
- Working closely with Get Further’s Director of Impact and the wider Impact Team to develop and deliver our processes for monitoring and evaluating the impact of our programmes, including communicating our results with existing and potential partners in further education to support the charity to meet its wider objectives.
- Ensuring Get Further’s approach to curriculum, assessment and tutor training continue to develop and improve with insights from our impact data, including line management of our Maths and English Curriculum Managers.
- Holding the relationship with Get Further’s subject advisory groups.
External relationships:
- Building relationships and our brand across the further education, charity and policy sectors.
- Leading on the delivery of a FE Advisory Group that provides advice and guidance to the charity to ensure programme delivery continues to move from strength to strength.

Person Specification
ESSENTIAL
- A deep interest and commitment to Get Further’s mission, including the drive to expand our work and the ability to articulate and pitch our programmes authentically.
- An excellent track record of sales within the education sector (minimum two years’ experience of directly selling programmes within education) and skilled in designing and delivering business development plans and/or marketing strategies.
- Extensive experience in leading and improving programme delivery, including the ability to galvanise colleagues to reach annual KPIs.
- Organisational and project management skills, to plan and make strategic decisions to prioritise and optimise time and budget.

International Programmes Manager: Local First
Salary: £43,000 p.a.

The role
The International Programme Manager is responsible for the effective management, coordination and delivery of an ambitious new multi-year programme, Local First: Transforming the Peacebuilding System. This programme will support and strengthen the ecosystem of local actors working for sustainable peace in Afghanistan, Mali, Sudan and eastern DRC, and advocate for increased resourcing and acknowledgement of locally-led peacebuilding.

The Role
Yorkshire Cancer Research has embarked on an exciting programme to transform and improve the survival and the quality of life of cancer patients.
Active Together is a multimodal prehabilitation and rehabilitation service that has been developed by world leading academics and practitioners at the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre (AWRC) at Sheffield Hallam University (SHU).
Reporting to the Director of Research and Services, The Head of Active Together will lead the charity’s Active Together team to directly deliver Active Together services in various locations across Yorkshire as well as overseeing funding contracts with NHS Trusts to deliver the service on behalf of the Charity. They will work in partnership with Sheffield Hallam University to evaluate and ensure continuous improvement of all the Active Together services.

Service delivery and Operational Management of the charity’s Active Together Programme

Lead and manage our in-house service delivery teams (including Personal Trainers, Dietitians and Counsellors) to deliver the Active Together service in the charity’s first bespoke Yorkshire Cancer Centre in Harrogate.

Work closely with the AWRC to ensure the Active Together Programme is implemented correctly ensuring treatment fidelity and to ensure evaluation data is collected.
Governance
Ensure the highest levels of good governance within the Active Together team by:

Working with the Risk, Compliance and Governance team to ensure the governance of the in-house Active Together Services is fit for purpose.

About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:

To have excellent track record of management and leadership, with relevant experience at a senior manager/team leader level in delivering exercise-based, or cancer-related, services in the public or charity sector setting.

To have proven experience of managing internal budgets, risk registers and complying with internal and external governance requirements such as data protection regulations in a public or charity sector setting.

A key member of the senior leadership team, the Director of Finance contributes to shaping and implementing the Gallery’s strategic development.

We're looking for two proactive & passionate individuals to join our Housing Advice team to deliver an effective housing advice and advocacy service to young people accessing our day centre.
You will be working within our Housing team to deliver an effective advice service for young people. You should be experienced in delivering housing advice within a youth and community or other relevant setting, of supporting clients with multiple and complex needs, and have a proven track record of referring and progressing vulnerable people into suitable accommodation. There are two roles available.
Key details
- Contract type and hours: Permanent. The role is full-time, 35 hours per week Monday to Friday. Some work over the Christmas period will also be required.

Main tasks and responsibilities
Young people's services
Delivering a housing advice service to young people with multiple needs. This will include:
- Working to ensure young people receive a high-quality service from the point of registration to move-on. Taking a hands-on approach to dealing with complex or difficult cases.
- Carrying out thorough needs assessments with young people accessing the service in order to refer young people into appropriate accommodation and to external specialist services.
- Providing young people with expert advice and guidance relating to their housing situation. Monitoring and evaluating young people’s progress.
- Engaging other relevant external partners, able to provide accommodation and other move on opportunities to young people.
- Referring young people to other internal New Horizon Youth Centre teams in order to support their progression, including Health, Youth Work, Outreach and Jobs, Education and Training.
- Providing advocacy and referring young people to a wide range of specialist external advice services including around advocacy, substance misuse, mental health, immigration, counselling, financial/debt advice, and legal services.
- Attending regular briefings, team meetings, reflective practice and clinical supervision, both with NHYC and project partners. Ensuring that Health and Safety or safeguarding issues are addressed at all times.
Sharing best practice
To proactively share best practice with internal and external stakeholders in order to maximise the impact of the work of NHYC. This will include:
- Identifying and acting to maximise NHYC’s profile by seeking out and responding to opportunities with specialists and agencies who might offer resources, funding, or individual services relevant to client needs.
- Promoting and representing NHYC at relevant forums, meetings and events.
Information management
To produce and maintain accurate and useful information in a range of formats in order to promote effective service delivery and evaluation. This will include:
- Recording all contacts with clients appropriately and maintaining all relevant files and recording systems.
- Producing written reports in a variety of formats to meet the requirements of NHYC, external service providers and funders, e.g., project reviews and assessment reports.
- Inputting and extracting information from client monitoring systems and other accounting and database systems. Utilising other relevant software for the production of reports.
- Being self-servicing in day-to-day administration, and following team and NHYC’s administrative procedures.
Reviewing personal and professional development needs
To be proactive in reviewing and evaluating own performance and identifying and acting upon areas for improvement. This will include:
- Reviewing and evaluating own performance to identify strengths and areas for development. Identifying own learning/development needs and opportunities.
- Undertaking development and training opportunities and being responsible for obtaining maximum benefit through review, reflection and practice.
- Taking a proactive approach to supervision including regular line management supervision, team meetings, team reflective practice and clinical supervision.
Other
To contribute positively and constructively to the development of the team, the service and the centre. This will include:
- Covering for other members of the team where necessary.

Main Requirements
· To oversee the for the planning, management and delivery of all services, ensuring that KPIs and CIPs are fully met.
· To work closely with the Operational Manager to ensure quality delivery of services provided the Norfolk/Suffolk team, staff and volunteers.
· To develop and review the practice wheels and Logic Models that outlines the structure and research basis of the service. To engage with the Family Action Communities of Practice, roadshows and other internal opportunities to ensure strategic aims and objectives are constantly developing.
· To ensure a high standard of quality assurance and professional practice across the staff, through clinical and line management supervision, case audits, the use of MIR, Scorecard and Service Level Reports drawing upon data, and provision of training opportunities.
· Support Operational Manger to explore and identify areas of service needs across Norfolk and Suffolk and to build network and integrational working partnerships to support this.
· To be instrumental in shaping the future of the services both in Norfolk and Suffolk as well as part of the wider Central Team.
· Be responsible for the overall management, mentoring and support of Service Coordinators and, where needed, other staff.
