Position Overview
As an HR Consultant at Roots HR, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a diverse client base, helping them navigate HR challenges and implement best practices. You will provide expert guidance in areas such as employee relations, compliance, HR strategy, and more. We need an experienced practitioner who has built their career in a well-structured environment and is now looking to take their first step into the consultancy arena. We envisage that the successful candidate will, along with other essential criteria:
• Ideally be qualified to Chartered MCIPD level or as a minimum, working towards that
• Have extensive experience of leading and managing HR projects and initiatives across a broad range of subject areas, and delivering robust generalist HR advice and guidance, including advising and coaching line managers and advising to a successful conclusion on a broad range of complex employee relations issues.
• Social sector experience or exposure, gained through employment, volunteering or governance role(s) with extensive and broad operational delivery of robust generalist HR advice and guidance.
• Have excellent communication skills and be extremely skilled in influencing at all levels
• Have excellent written skills, able to produce high-quality reports and other documentation.
• Be passionate about human resources and committed to updating their knowledge on a frequent basis.

About you

You’re also used to optimising and reviewing campaigns and aren’t afraid to share both failures and successes. You’ll be highly collaborative, flexible and diplomatic in your approach to managing internal and external stakeholders to deliver results.
What’s more, you excel in analysis and intelligent use of data, are great at utilising insight, including the motivations, interests and behaviours of supporters to guide decisions and have a demonstrated knowledge of project management and development, and will be able to manage multiple projects at once.

About the role
We’re looking for a Human Resources Advisor with strong experience in employee relations and policy development to join our People Team. In this role, you’ll work closely with the HR Business Partners and act as the escalation point from our People Operations Team, offering comprehensive, pragmatic people advisory services across the organisation. Right now, we’re looking for a self-motivated individual to join us at our Grow Project in Birmingham. This innovative project is led by young people who are affected by drug or alcohol use, they learn how to grow their own food, cook healthy meals, make new friends and have the chance to work towards qualifications. Your challenge? To provide brief and long-term interventions which will incorporate outdoor spaces and activities that promote healthy lifestyles and reduce substance misuse. You will also develop care plans, provide case management, ensure integrated pathways and support the development of family intervention within the wider team. You will also allocate and oversee the work of peer mentors and volunteers as required.
An energetic and confident self-starter, you have a qualification in health/social care, youth and community care (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. As well as good knowledge of alcohol/drug and health related issues, you're used to liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals and comfortable engaging with clients in a variety of service delivery settings. What’s more, you have a flexible approach, a commitment to the principles of confidentiality and the ability to write client records and report and fulfil data requirements.
This is a fixed term contract until 31 August 2026 requiring the post holder to work 37 hours per week.

The role
Cruse Bereavement Support is the UK’s leading Bereavement charity. We help people through one of the most painful times of their lives through bereavement support, information and campaigning.
We’re looking for an organised, enthusiastic Fundraising Administrator to support our Public Fundraising Team to deliver some ambitious targets.
You will be responsible for ensuring the best possible supporter experience for our donors and fundraisers, including support with digital engagement. Reporting to the Individual Giving and Legacy Manager, you will deliver excellent customer care to supporters responding to enquiries and thanking them for their support, you’ll work within our database to maintain the quality of information available and assist with gift processing, as well as many other activities to help drive income and ensure all our supporters are valued at all times.
You will work in a small and friendly team in a very busy and diverse role. Possessing excellent organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines is essential as well as strong IT skills. The ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, supporters and volunteers will be a huge asset in this important role for the charity.

Responsibilities
Strategic development and implementation

Develop and oversee an effective PR communications strategy, including business/trade press and public affairs (EU and UN advocacy), based on ProVeg’s strategic principles, impact areas and global interventions.

About You:
Having worked in a third sector direct marketing role previously, you will have experience running effective national and regional campaigns using a variety of fundraising channels including digital, email, social media, direct mail, and telemarketing.
