About the role  

We are seeking a Head of Development and Partnerships to join our Senior Management Team alongside the CEO, Head of Programmes and Head of Finance and Operations. 

You will drive income generation and partnerships development with funders and prime contractors within primarily the UK public and international development sectors, ensuring that our programmes, courses and consultancy offerings meet market needs and are financially sustainable.

You will lead on activities generating over £1m annually through grants, tenders, contracts, partnerships, and strategic communications contributing to The Human Edge's financial growth and brand development. 

As the key member dedicated to income generation, you will shape and expand our funding streams, driving the growth of our services while serving as a charismatic external ambassador and effective communicator and influencer.

The Role

As our Deputy CEO, you'll support the development and implementation of Unfold’s organisational strategy and be responsible for the delivery of programme, funding and impact strategies. 

You’ll play a crucial role in shaping the future of Unfold by supporting the development and implementation of Unfold’s organisational strategy and taking ownership of the delivery of our programmes, funding and impact strategies. Alongside the CEO, you'll play a key role in ensuring ensuring that we continue to deliver high-quality services that make a real difference and create impact, reaching those who need them most.

Supporting the CEO, you'll also ensure the financial stability of the charity by maintaining a sustainable funding pipeline and using data to demonstrate the impact of our work. You'll be identifying funding opportunities, overseeing bid submissions, and ensuring quality reporting and compliance. By representing Unfold at events and cultivating relationships with donors, corporate partners and individual supporters you'll ensure a robust and sustainable income to support our growth plans.

About You

Essential

• Experienced Fundraiser: You have a proven track record in fundraising within the third sector, particularly at a senior level.

• Programme Management: You’ll have a good understanding of programme development and delivery, including measurement of impact and quality assurance.

• Data-Driven: You understand the importance of data in telling our story and are comfortable analysing data and making our change tangible.

• Inspirational Leader: You’re a strong communicator who can motivate and support a team to achieve great things.

• Passionate Advocate: You’re committed to our mission and values, with a passion for supporting young people and families.

• Experience with CRM systems, especially for fundraising and client data management.

• Knowledge of safeguarding in the context of volunteering with vulnerable groups.

About the role

The Senior Communications and Marketing Manager will join the Trust at an exciting time and be responsible for providing first-class customer service to the local community who use this much-loved greenspace for rest, relaxation and exercise, as well as the promotion of the park as a unique visitor attraction.

The role will support the Trust to expand and diversify our audience and supporter base through creative, targeted and effective marketing of events and programming. It will also support the generation of commercial and philanthropic income, through strategic fundraising campaigns and raising the profile of the park. 

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all channels including digital communications (website, e-newsletter, social media) as well as handling press/ media, print and working with the grounds team on in-park communications.

The Strategy Team supports leaders at Cancer Research UK to set the long-term strategic direction for the organisation, to make choices about its future, and co-ordinate its plans - to help beat cancer, faster. We are looking for candidates who are excited and motivated to work across the full breadth and variety of all that Cancer Research UK does. You'll be an experienced strategy professional with a background of working with senior leaders as well as developing strategy at pace, for example through consulting experience or an in-house strategy role. • Manage and deliver strategic projects and programmes of work from initial scoping through to making recommendations and handover to delivery teams

JOB SUMMARY

The Head of Development will be a dynamic leader within the RUH and a charismatic ambassador externally. Responsible for leading the Development Team across all funding streams and personally managing a select portfolio of major gift prospects, the role will transform our approach to fundraising and philanthropy, delivering against demanding targets and key projects (research, patient & staff support, capital campaigns, medical equipment and ‘where the need is greatest’). This is an exciting opportunity to help lead, grow and re-shape the Development Team and is a pivotal role within the SLT, reporting directly to the Head of RUHX.

The successful candidate will be the entrepreneurial force behind leading a team to grow income to £4m+ to support projects and campaigns across the RUH. You will be an experienced fundraising professional with a proven track record of delivering significant income across all funding streams and meeting challenging targets to deliver growth. As an innovative and strategic leader, you will focus on driving donor-centric partnerships, providing exceptional supporter experiences while bolstering exceptional stakeholder relationships.

The Head of Development will be an inspiring and compassionate leader, used to recruiting and motivating a high-performing team and operating a learning and development approach. A skilled communicator and influencer with exceptional diplomatic skills, you will have an ability to develop strong working relationships with staff, trustees, donors and other stakeholders. You will have extensive budget management and planning experience, and will be working closely with the SLT, the Director of Finance and the Charities Committee.

Above all, you will be dedicated to RUHX, the RUH and the NHS - committed to transforming patient care through a business-minded and innovative approach towards driving development. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Development—The post holder will line manage a successful team of fundraisers and will be responsible for securing a team total of £1.5m per year. The Head of Development will manage a personal portfolio of major gift prospects and will be responsible for the identification and cultivation of potential donors, typically in the region of £250,000 and above, delivering a £1.5m a year.
• Leadership & Management- responsible for providing inspiring and innovative leadership and team management, nurturing a culture of ambition, support, and inclusion at RUHX. Ensure the alignment of the charity's vision, values, and behaviours while managing a high-performing Development Team, in line with best practice.
• Strategy - responsible for the strategic leadership and delivery of all development functions of the RUHX’s income generation, in line with the charity’s objectives and the Charities Committee.
• Governance and Compliance- responsible for ensuring RUHX's is compliant with all fundraising regulatory and legal obligations, including GDPR, The Fundraising Regulator and the Code of Fundraising Practice.
• Financial & Risk Management- responsible for leading and managing the Development Team to meet financial fundraising targets and oversee budgets. Working with the SLT, ensure timely updates to the Head of RUHX and Charities Committee, reporting on risks with recommendations.
• External Relations and Communications- working with RUHX Director and Marketing & Communications Team support with corporate communications, public relations, and brand consistency. 

We are seeking to appoint a new Chief Executive Officer, who will focus on ensuring that the organisation continues to make a substantial impact in addressing uncorrected refractive error and driving forward better more equitable primary eye health globally. The CEO will lead the management of the organisation; playing a critical role in the overall leadership and management of Vision Action and will be vital in securing the future success of the organisation. Vision Action is in an exciting period, with a new strategy to 2030 that the new CEO will play a pivotal role in. The successful candidate will be a dynamic leader who shares Vision Action’s ambition and who is inspired by the opportunity to help shape the future of the organisation and the people it serves. The priority is to raise awareness of the Charity with key stakeholders, lead all fundraising and external communications and ensure programme excellence.

We are seeking an individual to undertake the role of Head of Major Gifts. The position requires you to grow and where possible exceed the Funds net income over the next five years. You will possess strong leadership skills, be responsible for setting and delivering on annual targets, leading and managing the Major Gifts teams. In addition, you will have the experience of formulating strategies and be able to demonstrate your track record of successful targets that have been exceeded or met.

The role is based in our London HQ, with a minimum of three days working in the office per week. The successful candidate for this role will need to be DBS checked and prove they have the right to work in the UK.

Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity. We're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. We support and fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.

We are looking for someone dynamic, proactive and passionate about patient support, to be our first Senior Services Officer for Scotland. You will work to develop and deliver a portfolio of support and information services for people in Scotland affected by bowel cancer. In the Services team, we currently have a range of peer support and information services and are constantly innovating, testing and refining our offer to ensure they reach as many people as possible and provide the support they want. This role will be responsible for scaling our existing services in Scotland and adapting them to meet the specific needs of patients and their families across the country. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our patient community and lead change across the bowel cancer pathway in patient support.

Off The Record South East Hampshire, a leading provider of emotional wellbeing and mental health support services for young people in the South East Hamphsire area, is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead an organisation that supports the local youth community.

Off The Record (OTR) has been active within the Havant and Portsmouth area for nearly fifty years and has a proven track record of delivering effective services through individual counselling and group work, including family counselling. The issues our young people often face include anxiety, family/friendship & relationship problems, anger, low self-esteem or mood.

The Chief Executive will be someone who has the skills and expertise to lead all aspects of the charity as it explores new directions, service lines and partnerships. The successful candidate will work with the board of trustees to help establish a community where young people are happy, independent, cherished and nurtured with a significantly improved sense of wellbeing.

We are looking for an influential and inspirational leader with a strong external focus and natural ability to engage. Excellent leadership, communication, administration, outcomes management and team-building skills are all a must.

To be considered for this post you must have proven management experience, professionalism, the ability to implement projects and plans to achieve targets and results, excellent communication skills, and the energy and commitment necessary to lead a busy charity at a key time in its development.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of senior level operational and strategic leadership ideally, but not essentially, within the charity/social enterprise sector. You will also need experience of the financial management of an enterprise working with annual revenues in excess of £400k.

Experience in social care, well being and the mental health of young people is not essential but would also be a strong advantage.

Abortion Support Network is a largely volunteer-run charity that helps people living in European countries with bad abortion laws and provision access safe abortions in clinics abroad. ASN provides practical information, support, funding, travel and accommodation.

We are looking to recruit a new Managing Director to lead the team. ASN began as a group of activists and a mobile phone, and spent its early years running on passion. While remaining true to it’s radical roots, ASN are navigating the realities of building a sustainable organisation which offers the best possible experience for our clients, staff, volunteers and supporters. To do this, we need a strategic thinker who has experience leading a team and works pragmatically to get things done. 

Reporting to the Board of Trustees, you will have complete oversight of ASN, from service delivery to IT system procurement. We don’t expect anyone to be an expert on every part of ASN’s work, but we’re looking for someone with robust relevant experience who is willing to learn from our incredible team.

Location: UK remote - with a commitment to attend important meetings / training sessions in person in Haywards Heath or UK locations, up to 7 times a year. Availability to travel overseas for events/project visits up to one week a year, if required.

Relationship Building:

• Manage and cultivate relationships with a portfolio of trust and foundation donors through bespoke proposals, mailings, reports, and meetings.
• Develop key relationships with CEOs, Directors, and Trustees to achieve planned objectives.
• Take personal responsibility for delivering agreed targets in line with the Trusts team strategy.

New Business Development

• Research, identify, and engage with new trust prospects in global markets.
• Work with Sightsavers' trustees, CEO, and senior figures to establish high-value funding relationships.

Cross-Team Working

• Collaborate across the organisation to deliver high-standard project proposals and ensure excellent grant management for existing donors.

Networking and Contribution:

• Actively participate in trust and foundation networks.
• Contribute to the overall direction of the Trusts and Corporate Partnerships Team by sharing information, insights, and fundraising materials.

Essential:

• Excellent written skills for proposals, bids, and reports.
• Experience in fundraising, marketing, or sales.
• Proven success in cultivating and maintaining donor/client relationships.
• Understanding of charity sector and international development issues.
• Strong presentation and writing skills, including project budgets and reports.
