Our immigration advice service offers support to more than 2,000 people each year. Praxis provides a safe space and support through immigration advice and support to access services such as housing and health. We run peer support groups that build social networks and confidence. Together with people with lived experience, Praxis campaigns for a compassionate and humane immigration system where no one is discriminated against based on their immigration status, race, or class.

Praxis has recently significantly scaled up its campaigns and communications work. We are looking for a new Stories and Media Coordinator to join our Fundraising and Communications team, to help ensure that people with lived experience of the immigration system are the driving force of our dynamic communications work, whilst also building the organisation’s profile and amplifying our systems-change work.

You will play an integral role in the Fundraising and Communications team in an ambitious organisation.  

We are looking for the below skills and experience:

· Strong experience and understanding of working with experts by experience in communications, media and storytelling work, including excellent understanding of safeguarding and risk management;

· Significant experience of developing and maintaining good relationships with a range of journalists;

· A sharp understanding of what makes a strong story;

CHT is a dynamic, innovative and expanding charity in the adult mental health sector. To help realise our ambitions we are looking for an experienced fundraising and communications expert as Head of Fundraising and Communications. This is a new role and we are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and creative person with the expertise and drive to make the role their own, to expand our capacity and reach, and to grow the role, their team and the charity.

CHT

CHT is a mental health charity that provides seven rehabilitative residential communities in London and Sussex for people experiencing severe mental health difficulties, and training in the field of relational practice in mental health.

Poor mental health is a national crisis. Those with the severest of mental health difficulties experience  a high risk of suicide and self-harm, a lack of independence, and a loss of hope. Though many are still young adults, most of our residents have spent years in psychiatric hospitals before coming to CHT; medication alone is not the answer. For 30 years, CHT has provided a unique approach with a distinct clinical model. We work with individuals with a history of multiple or prolonged hospital admissions, providing an alternative, longer-term solution that enables the majority of our residents to move on to lower support, with many taking up education, training or employment while still with us – a stark contrast to psychiatric hospital. 

Purpose of role 

As part of our five-year strategic plan two years ago CHT commissioned a part-time consultant to develop our fundraising and communications capacity from scratch. We now feel that the time is right to build on the work done so far and to step up a gear and appoint our own full-time Head of Fundraising and Communications who will lead on the further growth of our fundraising capacity and fully develop our marketing. This is a new post for someone creative and innovative who wants to step up in their career and help CHT step up in our fundraising and communications capabilities. We are a growth-oriented charity both in terms of personal learning and development and in terms of our role in the mental health sector, and we are looking for an individual who brings established fundraising and communications skills and who is looking for an opportunity for personal and professional growth.

The purpose of the Head of Fundraising and Communications role is to lead on implementing the Board of Trustees’ strategic objectives in increasing our fundraising capacity and income; developing our marketing capacity and reputation management so that we enjoy high levels of referrals and a higher sector profile both as a provider of services and as a training organisation; and to line manage CHT’s small existing fundraising and communications team.

Your role

You will work most closely with colleagues in Music, Creative Industries and Communications as currently this is where a lot of our project work and innovative activity is situated. However, your role will have an impact across the whole department and beyond fundraising as you work with the Senior Creative Industries Projects Manager to lead teams of colleagues to deliver superb projects and genuinely innovative activities.

You will use your experience from a range of cultural settings to drive attaching the right names, the right feeling, ambition, timing and storytelling to all of the projects you work on, underpinning all aspects of project management with genuine innovation, creativity and understanding the nature of the industry you are navigating.

You will proactively project manage a range of projects and support the delivery of others. You will design and lead research and development projects, growing the pipeline of fundraising opportunities and expanding our work across the creative industries, contributing to the vision of War Child being the charity of the Creative Industries. 

Your responsibilities

· Work with the Senior Creative Industries Projects Manager to implement a range of cross-team fundraising events & initiatives, leading aspects of the project as agreed.

· Lead the delivery and strategically grow major cornerstone project and annual fundraiser Secret 7”. You will devise project plans, manage complex budgets and coordinate cross team engagement, evaluating working nimbly throughout to adjust priorities and resolve issues, in order to maximise income.

· Lead on the department's ecommerce platform with support from the Creative Industries Executive, including building creative campiagns and concepts, developing, delivering and reporting against annual income targets, creating bespoke product ranges, coordinating cross team collaboration and managing range of external stakeholder relationships in order to maximise shop income and reach ambitious income targets. You will use your initative to make strategic reccomendations based on your research and knowledge of up to date e-commerse trends.

· Proactively research, test and develop new fundraising initiatives that span a range of creative industries including Art, fashion, film, theatre etc. and play a crucial role in annual planning.

· Assess and develop existing income generating projects, analysing risk and opportunity to determine the best way forward. Support the Senior Creative Industries Manager in developing new ideas and building relationships across the creative industries that support the fundraising mission.

· To provide first-rate line management to Creative Industries Executive.  

· Manage relationships and influence at every level of seniority, diplomatically leading working groups and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders in order to deliver collaborative projects and events.

· Identify and build relationships with a range of Creative Ambassadors, developing first rate cultivation plans based on the needs of the Fundraising and Communications teams, to enable sustainable growth.

· Responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting of the activities and income streams that you project manage

· Champion Salesforce usage to increase efficiency of team and work with data team to ensure all Creative Industries are effectively integrated to Salesforce.

Overall purpose

The Head of Corporate Partnerships is a key leadership role within the Income and Engagement Directorate. Breaking Barriers’ relationship with corporate partners is the USP upon which our growth and success as an organisation has been built. The Head of Corporate Partnerships has accountability for generating income, impact and influence from the private sector, and for leading a high-performing team to achieve ambitious growth and scale for refugees around the UK.

As Breaking Barriers has grown from a start-up organisation to a now 60-strong team raising c. £4m and supporting more than 1,200 refugees annually, our corporate partnerships have expanded beyond our original London base to be nationwide partnerships with a wide range of businesses and employers. Our corporate partners have been crucial in enabling our growth and will be crucial to delivering upon the ambition of our 2030 goals. The Head of Corporate Partnerships is an essential role that will make this ambition a reality.

You will lead a team to deliver outstanding partnerships management of a range of strategic and multi-faceted relationships with a portfolio of c.50 businesses alongside leading strategy for business development. Leading by example you will own a number of our key relationships to drive growth, whilst bringing your experience to bear to coach your team and ensure structures and processes are in place to enable high performance.

We are seeking a talented Director of Development (maternity cover), fully committed to our widening participation cause, to join our Senior Leadership Team. Working with the Chief Development Officer, the postholder will coordinate all aspects of the charity’s fundraising function, joining the leadership of a highly successful fundraising team to meet and exceed its ambitious fundraising targets (currently £13m per annum from donations, grants and university partnerships - and projected to rise each year as the charity expands its reach)

Contract

Full-time, fixed-term until November 2025. This role may also be part-time (0.8 FTE) - responsibilities will be adjusted proportionally for part-time candidates.

We are a delivery organisation providing frontline educational services for young people. Our Head Office team is based on the site of our North Kensington centre in West London. We are an organisation with team members at different stages of their career, including many in their first roles: we are committed to nurturing talent and providing a developmental culture for all. Our Head Office team works in-person 4 days (or 3 days for a 0.8 FTE staff member) per week.

The main duties of the role

Working with the Chief Development Officer and Assistant Director of Development to oversee the charity’s fundraising operations, including:

• Leading the day-to-day active oversight and coordination of the charity’s fundraising operations (eg the management of prospect research and prioritisation, managing workflows, solicitation planning, ensuring effective stewardship of supporters, tracking and monitoring funding)
• Along with the Chief Development Officer and other members of the team, leading on fundraising bids, and supporting the fundraising team in their preparation of compelling and high-quality applications
• Supporting the fundraising team in the effective management and prioritisation of its prospect pipelines
• Ensuring effective solicitation planning across the team, from researching potential donors and the development of donor relationships, through to the design and implementation of solicitation and stewardship strategies
• Senior oversight within the fundraising team over the charity’s fundraising from Trusts and Foundations
• Ensuring effective stewardship of supporters is maintained and developed across the team
• Tracking and monitoring of funding, working closely with the finance team and ensuring that accurate records are maintained
• Coordination of the Trustee and Development working group meetings on fundraising, and implementation of agreed actions
• Managing a portfolio of strategic funders including high-net-worth donors, university partners and family foundations
• Taking on a leadership role on targeted fundraising campaigns, in particular in conjunction with university partners for multiple centres
• Working with the data protection team to ensure fundraising activities meet data protection requirements

• Coordination of fundraising requests to the Senior Management Team

• Playing a fully active role on the Senior Leadership Team in the general management of the charity, ranging from taking forward the charity’s strategic planning through to responding to the unexpected and contributing to day-to-day decisions on operational and staffing matters
• Acting as line manager for members of the fundraising team, including (but not limited to) the Senior Partnerships Manager and Trust and Foundations Manager

It’s a hugely exciting time for the Charity, with the appointment of a new CEO and Director of Income & Engagement to lead an ambitious period of growth. The Head of Leadership Giving will lead the strategic direction and expansion of the high-value giving portfolio. Key duties include:

• Work collaboratively with the Director of Income & Engagement to further develop and implement the leadership giving fundraising strategy, ensuring annual and longer term general and restricted income targets are achieved. 
• Lead on the set up and stewardship of the Appeal Board for the BBC Radio 4 100th anniversary, aiming to optimise income and networking opportunities from partners and high net worth individuals connected to the wider Appeal.
• Develop strong internal relationships across fundraising, programmes and communications to create and develop compelling and effective long-term restricted funding opportunities to increase fundraising and deliver new multi-year income. This role will also work closely with St Martins partner organisations to identify funding opportunities aligned with the charity’s strategic plan.
• Oversee the development of a pipeline of funding applications and approaches across Trusts and Philanthropy to ensure existing and future funding needs are met from leadership giving sources.
• Take a lead role in establishing a compelling, future focused high value case for support that enables a dedicated Leadership Giving appeal in recognition of the 100th anniversary of the BBC Radio 4 Appeal in 2026.
• Lead, motivate and manage an experienced Leadership Giving team of two, creating a positive and inspiring culture which empowers fundraisers to achieve their best while meeting or exceeding annual income targets.

We’re looking for the following skills & experience for this role:

• Extensive High-Value Fundraising experience, with tangible skills and knowledge in securing six figure donations across Major Donors and/or Trusts & Foundations.
• Experience in developing robust pipelines of new opportunities and successfully converting to grow long term, sustainable income
• First-class donor management skills, delivering outstanding stewardship for long-term, high value donors.
• Experience in developing and delivering strategy, plans and budgets and being able to monitor and evaluate progress.
• Experience leading, inspiring and managing a Philanthropy team, motivating and developing Fundraisers to deliver income targets and objectives.
• Experience of high value special events and cultivation programmes.
• Experience of setting up and/or stewarding a Development Board is highly desirable.
