The person we are looking for will:

Have 10+ years of experience of People & Culture and DEIB experience, particularly in the non-profit/charity/social impact space.

Hold at least 5 years of experience in a legal counsel or similar role, advising on HR-related legal matters.

Possess a Juris Doctor (JD) and be licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Have significant experience in nonprofit law, including the development, review, and negotiation of contracts, compliance with relevant regulations, and governance.

About the role:
Working closely with the Major Crime Police Units, Senior Investigators and Family Liaison Officers, you will provide a pivotal role to support clients through the Criminal Justice System. As well as by phone and Zoom, you will meet families in their own homes or community, therefore travelling across the area you work will be essential. You will complete needs assessments, and will coordinate and deliver a tailored package of support alongside our commissioned providers and other key stakeholders.
This post covers South London and neighbouring counties (depending on demand) you will be working 37.5 hours a week with a permanent contract. You must live in South London and be able to travel within the area.

Job Purpose:
This is an exciting opportunity to work on the continuous development and delivery of a specialist service working in partnership with Central Northwest London NHS Foundation Trust, providing enhanced support to women with mental and physical health needs preparing to leave prison and resettle back in to the community. This project takes a trauma-informed, person-centred approach to support and works together with partner agencies to provide a bridge from prison to the community.
This post provides operational management of this project across the three women’s prisons in Surrey – HMP Bronzefield, HMP Send and HMP Downview and a community service delivery area of London and the South-East of England, ensuring quality standards are consistently met, staff are effectively managed, partnerships are maintained and contract KPI’s are delivered.
