We are looking for someone who has passion for both business and data, ensuring that business systems, infrastructure and processes are functioning effectively and efficiently. You will be naturally curious and keen to encourage continuous improvement of systems.
Job Purpose: The role holder will ensure that business systems, infrastructure and processes are functioning as effectively and efficiently as possible. They will support colleagues to improve their knowledge and use Microsoft Office 365 (O365) and SharePoint/Teams and support with identifying new technologies that will enhance service delivery to YMCA customers.
To review and replace business systems as YMCA East Surrey enters the next phase of digital transformation of integration of systems, cloud telephony and a business intelligence tool. This role will be an integral part of the transformation and onboarding new systems.
Hours of work:Part time 28 hours per week. Working pattern will usually be between Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Location: YMCA Sports and Community Centre, Princes Road, Redhill, Surrey, RH1 6JJ.
Annual leave:Five weeks plus bank holidays (pro-rata for part time workers) Holidays increase after two years’ service to a maximum of six weeks after six years’ service.(pro-rata for part time workers)
The holiday year runs from 1April to 31 March each year.

Main Responsibilities:
· Colleague support and triage of O365 and SharePoint issues.
· Train and support colleagues to maintain the SharePoint Intranet.
· Train and support superusers across the different O365 business systems
· Assist and lead the efficient delivery of ICT driven projects across the business through collaboration with internal and external partners/stakeholders.
· Lead on the specific project of procuring and rolling out a new VoIP system across the whole organisation.
· Assist in the analysis of existing systems, identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability.

· Training users and creating instruction manuals for new or improved O365 systems
· Researching and evaluating emerging technologies, including both hardware and software to improve efficiency and effectiveness of existing processes.
· Support managers to measure levels and activities and outcomes by collating data from different systems to demonstrate effectiveness and impact across all service areas.
· Attend system user groups and share learning and best practice.
· Advise on IT solutions and software for the development of new sites and projects.
· Attend contract review meetings with IT Support Provider, to help the HoCS to monitor their performance and resolve and contractual issues that might arise
· Take responsibility for all IT hardware, to issue new equipment and to put in place arrangements for maintenance, repair and replacement where necessary and support maintenance of up-to-date asset register
· Take responsibility for drafting and reviewing relevant IT policies.
· Put in place the required systems and processes to achieve and maintain Cyber Essentials accreditation.
· Manage all relevant software licences including O365 licences.
· To produce monthly reports for senior management and to prepare proposals for new software where required.
· Use Office applications such as Forms and Power BI to produce tools to help managers collect data and monitor and report on performance.
· To undertake such other tasks as may be allocated from time to time within your capabilities by the HoCS and CEO.

Purpose of Role

International Programmes Manager: Local First

We are looking for a dynamic leader to drive the production of powerful creative that inspires tens of thousands of people to support the Red Cross. Reporting to the Head of Engagement & Loyalty, you'll use our mass fundraising strategy, supporter insight and programme information to create fundraising propositions that inspire both new and existing supporters to donate to the Red Cross through a portfolio of giving opportunities.
In our new Engagement & Loyalty function, you'll develop creative territories and lead the development of inspiring creative briefs. You’ll use your skills to support and develop the skills of others in developing propositions and writing creative briefs that will inspire our creative team.
As a key member of the British Red Cross, you'll transform how we engage with supporters and customers, identify and execute opportunities for us to be reactive and relevant, ultimately helping us achieve our mission and strategic goals.

- Preparing for and leading a workshop with a team of cross-functional colleagues to define the story we want to tell through our fundraising
- Meeting with Engagement & Loyalty senior managers to identify requirements for creative propositions

- Reviewing supporter insight findings to build into proposition planning
- Working closely with our in-house content team to find compelling stories to support your campaign territory ideas
- Collaborating on 2025 planning, creating supporter engagement strategies based on insight and research
- Reviewing creative work, ensuring it is produced in line with the campaign proposition and supporter insight
What will you need to be a successful Senior Strategist – Campaigns & Propositions?
- Highly skilled in how to create compelling stories and propositions - sourcing, gathering and writing story content that elicits a response
- Outstanding ability to write copy and judge creative executions within multi-channel Direct Marketing campaigns
- A thorough understanding of the different fundraising acquisition and retention channels and methodologies
- Highly innovative and creative thinker with an ability to critically appraise the ideas of others
- Experience of planning and delivering workshops for a range of senior and junior stakeholders
- Experience of planning focus groups and other insight-led methodologies, to elicit specific insight for creative planning

The role
As Senior Programmes Officer you will closely with our peacebuilding partners to help deliver an ambitious new programme of work. 'Local First: Transforming the Peacebuilding System' will support local peacebuilders in Mali, Afghanistan, Sudan and eastern DRC to increase prospects for sustainable peace.
Through Local First, Peace Direct will work with policymakers and power holders, supporting them to understand the dysfunctions of the peacebuilding system, and find ways to better support locally-led peacebuilding.
This role is responsible for developing and managing partnerships within the four countries, with initial emphasis on Mali. You will work closely with our other SPOs who manage partnerships in the four countries, and create and manage opportunities to bring partners together to learn from one another. You will also support the development, coordination and delivery of Local First, working closely with the International Programmes Manager and Peace Direct’s Netherlands Office Representative.
We are looking for an experienced, passionate person who can:
- Coordinate and support partnerships with local peacebuilding actors based on mutual accountability and trust. This will require working proficiency in French as well as English.
- Support the management, coordination and delivery of a complex, multi-country programme across four conflict-affected countries
- Coordinate the development of new work in support of transforming the peacebuilding system in four focus countries
- Contribute to organisational learning and the roll-out of our learning loop

As our Intergenerational Care Coordinator, you will lead the intergenerational care strategy, organising events and building connections across generations. You'll collaborate with schools, community groups, and Jewish organisations, while designing lesson plans and contributing to educational projects. What will your typical day involve?
You will lead the intergenerational care strategy, working with Nightingale Hammerson teams and external stakeholders. Key tasks include organising intergenerational events, creating spontaneous engagement opportunities, and fostering communication with Jewish organisations, synagogues, schools, and community centres.
You'll produce reports to show the impact of the programme and contribute to educational and research projects. Impeccable customer service is essential, as you'll welcome visitors and ensure a positive experience. Additionally, you'll develop departmental processes to improve efficiency and promote Nightingale Hammerson’s values.
You’ll also handle telephone and email enquiries, maintain strong working relationships, and occasionally support evening and weekend events.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with a Diploma in Intergenerational Care and Education being essential. They must demonstrate a willingness to have a positive impact on people’s lives, possess excellent communication skills with a kind and caring approach, and have a strong understanding of Jewish culture and way of life.
Essential skills include literacy and numeracy for producing written materials and statistical information, alongside excellent IT skills, particularly in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, record systems, and video call programmes.
Flexibility to meet service needs and the ability to work independently without constant supervision are key.
Experience in healthcare or educational settings is required, along with experience in leading or coordinating groups. The candidate should have experience designing lesson plans, and while experience in leading intergenerational engagements is desirable, it is not essential.

Position Summary
The Global Center is seeking an early/mid-career professional to support capacity development programming that advances equitable collaboration between civil society, government, private sector, and multilateral actors to realize a more just and secure world.
Working under the supervision of colleagues addressing cross-cutting thematic and geographic programs, the successful candidate has a demonstrated passion for human rights, security, and development and is keen to contribute their skills to a diverse range of programs.
The position will initially support Global Center programs on rehabilitation and reintegration of former terrorism offenders in Bangladesh and Indonesia, as well as other Global Center projects relating to countering the financing of terrorism and other related issues. As needed, other engagements may include work to empower civil society, advance justice and good governance, and influence national, regional, and international security policy and practice.
Working alongside staff in London, Nairobi, New York, or DC you will collaborate with international experts, project partners, and funders to develop and implement programs globally, including regular travel to countries of operation.
Responsibilities will include a range of operational and administrative tasks in support of Global Center’s programs, including contributing to planning, delivery, evaluation and program activities; logistical planning, coordination, and execution of events and meetings; drafting and editing of project documents, correspondence, and meeting materials; data entry; note taking; research assistance; communication with partners, diplomats and vendors; database management and contacts maintenance; as well as other tasks as assigned.

Role and Responsibilities

The role
We are looking for a new Editor and Content Manager to lead the production of the magazine, help specify and develop a new digital version to run alongside the printed magazine, and to support the wider communications team, especially with content creation and the website.
What you will be doing
You will work closely with members, staff and suppliers to commission, edit and polish articles for the magazine and ensure that every page is top-quality and that it goes out to members on time and on-budget. On any one day in this exciting and varied role, you could be interviewing members for stories and spotlights, writing engaging articles for the magazine or our website, creating new website pages or editing existing ones, or sourcing on-brand images and photos.
The print magazine is very popular, and we now want to develop a winning digital version alongside the printed version, so one of your responsibilities will be to work with colleagues to oversee its digitisation.
You will also be part of our small but dedicated communications team, which is responsible for delivering not only the magazine, but also the MA’s successful media relations, social media posts and engagement, and the majority of our website content.

Location: We’re currently working 100% remotely. We are looking for an office site in the south bank/ Vauxhall area of London, so ideally you would be able to work in that area at least one day per week.
Hours: 21 hours per week (part-time). You could work these hours in three full days or spread over four or five days.
Salary: £35,000 per year (pro-rata)
Annual leave: 25 days annual leave (not including bank holidays) – again pro rata’d.
