The Directoe of Fundraising and Communiations will play a pivotal role in the delivery of the Foundation’s 2023 – 2026 Ready for Business organisational strategy and our ambition to reach one million women entrepreneurs by 2030, significantly scaling income generation and building the Foundation’s profile. The postholder will be a member of the Foundation’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT), along with the CEO, COO, Director of Programmes and Impact, and Finance Director.
We are seeking an individual who will excel at bringing creative and ambitious growth plans to life and has strong leadership and communications skills. The Director of Fundraising and Communications will have significant multi-income stream experience and will lead the development of a new income generation strategy to drive fundraising activities across philanthropic donors, corporates, family offices, foundations and institutional funding, maximising ROI and creating a sustainable organisation. You will continue to build the profile of the Foundation with key audiences, managing the Foundation’s brand and reputation and positioning the organisation as global experts in women’s entrepreneurship.

Are you enthusiastic, highly motivated and organised? Would you like the opportunity to work in a busy Fundraising and Engagement Team?
We are looking to recruit a dynamic and creative Fundraising Officer to build on the development and growth of income through local communities across Surrey. Using your fundraising experience and knowledge, you will research, approach and secure new partnerships as well as manage existing relationships, to drive unrestricted income for the charity. Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey is a county-wide charity supporting people of all ages who are Deaf, hard of hearing, blind, partially sighted, and deafblind. We have been supporting Surrey residents for over 100 years. Our main office base is in Fetcham, near Leatherhead, and our team of staff and volunteers work out in the community across the county.
The post holder will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to prioritise effectively and manage a busy and varied workload. Job Purpose:
The post holder must have a minimum of two years fundraising experience and use their initiative, personal presence and drive to support all fundraising activity to achieve a substantial increase in unrestricted income.
Principle Accountabilities:
· Research, identify, approach and secure new partnership opportunities
· Provide excellent account management to new and existing partners in order to meet key fundraising and engagement objectives
· Work collaboratively to generate income from partners through creative fundraising initiatives
· Represent the charity at local functions and give presentations when required
· Create engaging assets for applications and pitch presentations
· Support individuals and organisations fundraising for the charity
· Maintain accurate and up to date record keeping of written and oral communication with supporters.

Work Context:
The post holder will be highly motivated and organised to research, identify and build new and existing relationships with local businesses and community organisations in order to increase unrestricted income and engagement for the charity.
Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey constantly needs to reassess its priorities in line with a changing funding environment and the needs identified by its members and service users. These factors are crucial to the charity’s survival and need careful attention. In order for the charity to successfully manage these pressures there is a need for all staff to be flexible and work wherever their core skills are needed most. The Role: This is an exciting new position for a highly motivated, organized, and analytical individual with the opportunity to make a real difference in a growing organization. As our Government Fundraising Specialist, you will be at the forefront of implementing our government fundraising strategy. This role involves a blend of research, advocacy, strategic proposal development, and guidance on contractual and donor compliance. You will join a dynamic, hard-working team responsible for securing 90% of the organization's revenue. Your work will focus on a new two-pronged approach: targeting governments at both the capital and local embassy levels in the regions where we operate our grantmaking programs, with the goal of making this revenue stream a significant component of our organizational budget in the coming years. You will not be starting from scratch, as we currently have secured government funding, as well as numerous relationships with governments that can be leveraged. Position: POD36 Internal Communications Officer
Location: Home-based, UK, Nationwide (However, frequent travel will be required as part of this role (it will include team meetings to London and Birmingham)
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week (flexible working available)
Salary: Circa £30,700 per annum (inner London weighting £3,950 per annum or outer London weighting £2,100 per annum may be applied in accordance with where you live)
Contract: This is maternity cover until 31 December 2025

You will:
· Write clear, transparent and accessible messages for different audiences to help staff and volunteers get what they need while volunteering or at work.
· Be an expert in using our network of internal communication channels (including Viva Engage, Teams, Zoom, DotDigital and an intranet) encouraging staff and volunteers to connect with, and feel connected to, the charity, our strategy, and our work.
· Respond to general queries such as technical fixes, proofreading, improving channels, pulling reports, while working at pace.
· Collaborate and coach others to understand the real problem or opportunities to help them achieve their communication goals.
About You
You’ll have:
· Experience working in an internal or external communications team.
· Experience using a wide range of internal communications channels to engage a large/multi-team and remote working workforce.
· Excellent writing skills, using audience understanding and insight to craft messages.
· The ability to develop, design and execute an internal communications plan to meet people’s needs.
· An understanding of workplace culture, experience and communication principles.
· An understanding of coaching techniques to help others find solutions.

The organisation
Every year in the UK, around 100 children are diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive cancer that mostly affects children under five. Neuroblastoma UK is a small national charity dedicated to finding a cure for this life-threatening disease - and is seeking a talented Senior Fundraising Officer to help us raise vital funds.
For 40 years, we’ve funded leading research to develop new, more effective and kinder treatments for children with neuroblastoma. You’ll be joining us at an exciting time for the charity as look to fund further research projects to help fight childhood cancer and save more young lives, and build our profile across the national media and social media channels, using the support of our celebrity patrons and families.
The role
The Senior Fundraising Officer is responsible for managing our portfolio of events and liaising with our community fundraisers to maximise their fundraising, as well as managing our individual supporters and managing fundraising admin across multiple areas. A key part of the role is ensuring our fundraising is compliant and developing strong relationships with our fundraisers.
The charity has a small team so everyone helps with thanking and banking, database management and administrative tasks and this role gives you the opportunity to have lots of autonomy and creative freedom in developing our fundraising.
Currently, this role reports to a committed Board of Trustees, many of whom have a personal connection to the cause.

Responsibilities

About the role:
The role plays a key role in developing and delivering our media & communication strategy both internal and external, supporting the Head of Media & Communications. The key areas of responsibility are:
