This is an exciting opportunity to join the high performing RCR Exams Quality Team. In this varied role the Examiner and Committee Administrator will be high functioning and able to multitask to support and service the RCR’s exam committee meetings. You will provide secretariat support for committee as well as organising facilities, travel, accommodation, dinners, and expenses as well as manage the examiner recruitment, induction and training process.
The successful candidate will be a good communicator, able to work collaboratively with colleagues, examiners, and chairs of relevant committees. You will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, producing statutory financial reports, and supporting a variety of finance projects aimed at improving processes and controls. This is a hands-on role, requiring a strong knowledge of charity accounting standards (SORP, FRS102) and advanced Excel skills.

This is a training position with the post holders undertaking training at Kings College London as well as working in our face to face frontline Mental Health Support Teams in schools and/or community services. You will be taught to deliver evidence based guided self-help interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. Information about the Training & the Job Role
This is a fixed term post with this training year funded by the NHS. After successful completion of the course the fixed term training contract will end however we will seek recurrent funding. Applicants will be encouraged to stay within their existing service providers or apply for vacant posts within our services and will be provided support and advice in job applications.
This full-time role will be best suited for applicants who are able to balance a busy work and study schedule, with frequent travel across different sites for university and work. You will be an employee at CDI or OTR but also enrolled on a Postgraduate Diploma course. As this is a Postgraduate level training, you will be required to study and perform at academic level. Applicants must be prepared to work towards their studies outside of protected study time (such as on weekends and after work). Protected study time or teaching days are typically 2 days a week during term (with possibility of extra university days near the start) and will be a mixture of in person and online sessions. Applicants must be willing to travel into London to attend their lectures.
The Postgraduate Diploma in Child and Young Person Psychological Trainings (CYP-PT) Education Mental Health Practice (EMHP) & Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP)
All applicants to the programmes above will be required to undertake Postgraduate Diploma level training at Kings College London alongside a work placement. Please note that you will need to submit an application form to Kings College London for a place on the Postgraduate Diploma in Child and Young Person Psychological Trainings (CYP-PT), in addition to the job application that you make to us. It is strongly advised to submit an early application to prevent the delay of a decision.
Following success at the job interview all trainees will be required to attend teaching for up to three days per week for one year. Teaching and lectures will be mostly based at King’s College London Campus in Denmark Hill. Students will be taught using a combination of lecture style workshops and small group seminars. Assessment on the programme will comprise of a combination or written, oral and video assessments. On successful completion of the course, students will graduate with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education Mental Health Practice or Children’s Wellbeing Practice.
Entrance criteria is detailed in the Person Specification and applications to the programme will be reviewed against this - applicants who do not fulfil the academic criteria may still be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Note that applications will not be considered from applicants who are formally registered (or re-sitting examinations) for another programme of study at KCL or any other Higher Education Institution.

SignHealth aims to improve healthcare and access to health services for deaf people. As well as campaigning, research and health promotion, we provide supported living schemes and outreach for deaf people with mental health problems. This role will be responsible for the collection of service contract debtors, as well as care fees from self-funding and local government authority residents. The role will interact with a wide range of stakeholders and will deliver excellent customer service – working proactively to reduce any barriers to debt collection and to improving SignHealth’s debt collection processes at a time the organisation is forecast to grow rapidly and significantly.
The key responsibilities of this Credit Controller role include:
- Raise all sales invoices (recurring and ad hoc), for SignHealth in an accurate and timely manner.
- Work with the Accountant and Head of Finance to develop and maintain accurate invoicing schedules.
- Work with colleagues across SignHealth to ensure that accurate invoices are raised – e.g. to account for changes in service delivery
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and other stakeholders to ensure prompt payment and resolution of billing disputes
- Proactively chase outstanding debts through telephone calls, emails and letters
- Perform monthly sales ledger reconciliations and check for anomalies, work with other finance team members to reconcile statements to the accounts
- Provide regular debtor status reports to the Accountant and Head of Finance – contribute to the development of management information for ELT including the cash flow forecast and debtor aging – as well as drafting written commentary for the management accounts
- Maintain accurate contact and contract information for all customers
- Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements and recommend internal process improvements
- Take an active role in aiding managers’ and team members’ understanding of their financial responsibilities

As well as conducting casework for individuals, our community care and public law team is involved in strategic litigation for the wider benefit of children, young people and families, and is actively involved in policy issues impacting our client base.
