Who we are

The GREAT Initiative is a UK gender equality charity based in London.

VISION: A world where men and women have an equal chance to thrive

MISSION: Unique in engaging both women and men, GREAT seeks to be a major force for change in the global equality movement. We work in partnership to influence decision makers, informed by our work on the ground

Our philosophy is that gender equality benefits everyone, and needs everyone. We want to see change that allows women to attain leadership positions without barriers and men take on caring roles without ridicule. We want to see women and men working together as allies to achieve this change. We believe that this can only be achieved through tackling the root causes of inequality: the social norms and stereotypes that set us on a gendered path from the moment we are clothed in a pink or blue baby grow.
