Syeda is a regional charity that supports anyone affected by an eating disorder.
We give information and advice and run support services for anyone affected by an eating disorder, both people who themselves are experiencing eating disorders, and also people who know or care about someone who has an eating disorder.
In addition to providing a range of professional support services to service users, we also have a number of volunteer-led support programmes, including befriending and support and self-help groups, and we also run extensive education and outreach programmes across the South Yorkshire area.
We have volunteering opportunities across a range of areas, and can also work with you to develop new opportunities that make the most of your skills and interests. We work across Sheffield, Barnsley and Rotherham and offer full training, ongoing one-one support and support with CVs and references.
We are funded by the Big Lottery Fund, Comic Relief and the NHS Sheffield Clinical Commission Group.
