About us
Who we are
Since 1977, the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (SWT) has worked to protect all wildlife and habitats in Kenya. Best known for the rescue, hand-rearing, and rewilding of orphaned baby elephants and rhinos so that they can ultimately enjoy a life back in the wild when grown, the SWT adopts a multi-faceted approach to conservation. From Anti-Poaching operations to Community Outreach projects, Aerial Surveillance patrols to Mobile Veterinary interventions, the charity's pioneering work ensures a sustainable future for wildlife and communities.
In 2004, the Sheldrick Willdife Trust UK was established as a regstered charity in England and Wales.
