Who we are

Luv2meetU aims to provide support to people with learning disabilities to widen their circle of friends and develop friendships and relationships – helping to combat isolation and loneliness and improve overall health and wellbeing. Our members take part in mainstream activities, supporting them to become more active in the community. Luv2meetU offers employment and volunteering opportunities which increase the self confidence and skills of our members. We also offer time off for families and carers all of which increases independence, self esteem, choice and puts our members in control. All of Luv2meetU’s board of directors are members. This ensures that everything we do is about providing better opportunities and activities. Some of the board is made up of representatives of Hft and other people with the skills needed by Luv2meetU. Luv2meetU plan to expand the service across England to support more people with learning disabilities to make friends and build a social life. We also run a friendship agency especially for people with learning disabilities from Asian communities in Leeds and Bradford - Hum Tum.
